Upgrade for 16 Corolla Base

Recently bought an entry level Corolla and while it has Bluetooth it does not have a navigation/Android Auto. I got spoiled on my last car and wanted something like that.
So, when I saw Rexing offer this product I thought I would give it a go and just like normal with their products I was not disappointed.
This is the perfect upgrade for my Corolla. Not only do I get to use Android Auto again, but I also have multiple options to play music. This product can stream music either from AUX connection (Decent), FM Transmitter (Horrible), Bluetooth to the car (Perfect). The Super link that the Rexing touchscreen has allows the phone to connect via Wi-fi to this product and allow the Bluetooth to connect to the car. This allows me to keep the factory stereo, steering wheel controls, and the factory mic in use while having navigation at my finger tips.
Another nice feature is while I am connected to Bluetooth on the car, I can still use the car controls to talk with someone using the car's microphone and have the audio play out of the speakers as I normally would without this product. I love that I get to keep all the functionality from the car and just add the navigation with this display.
The installation was a breeze and I have the choice to install onto the dash with the included adapter or I have to buy a windshield mount. I opted to use the included adapter for this.
If, and I hope Rexing develops something, I would love to have a rear camera for this product. There is a port on the back of the display for a rear camera, but no mention of it in the instructions.

I recently added the Rexing 7″ wireless touchscreen display adapter to my older car, and it has been a great way to modernize the vehicle. My car didn’t come with Android Auto or Apple CarPlay, so this instantly brought it up to date without needing to replace the head unit or do any complicated work. It really changes the driving experience and makes the car feel much more current.
The installation was super straightforward and truly plug and play. I didn’t need any car maintenance or technical experience at all. I just mounted the screen, powered it on, and it was ready to use in minutes. If you’re someone who doesn’t want to deal with wiring or professional installation, this is a big win.
One of my favorite features is how easy it is to switch between Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and phone screen mirroring. The built-in speaker works fine for navigation prompts, but the aux and Bluetooth audio output really make this shine by fully integrating with the car’s existing sound system. Audio and navigation both work smoothly.
The overall build quality looks solid and well made, and the screen is clear and responsive. For the price and ease of use, this is an excellent upgrade for anyone with an older vehicle who wants modern infotainment features without the hassle.

Really wonderful addition for any car that doesn't have Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. The installation is very easy with the use of any 12V adapter which I intend to hide behind the dash. The length of wires is definitely adequate for the install and the tape on the mount is very strong.
The setup (after install) is simple and just like any other car that has these features standard. Connect via Bluetooth, open CarPlay and the you are off and running. After that, it is a fully capable CarPlay setup that adds so many new features for your car.
I tried the AUX audio connection first, but quickly switched over to Bluetooh as my wife's van supported it. If your vehicle doesn't support Bluetooth, the Aux connection is fine, but ensure you use a very good cable and you may need to adjust a few settings on the head unit.
Overall, we love this and the screen is nicely large enough for full display (with responsive touchscreen) but not too big to become a distraction. Hands free is truly happening now!

I recently purchased the Rexing 7" Wireless Touchscreen Display Adapter with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and I’m really impressed with how well it works. Installation was a breeze — even if you’re not super tech-savvy, it’s straightforward to set up and gets connected quickly. Once installed, it pairs seamlessly with my phone and delivers a smooth wireless CarPlay Auto experience without the clutter of cables.
The touchscreen interface is responsive, and navigation, music, calls, and other apps all work just as they should. I’ve had zero issues with connectivity or lag, which makes everyday driving a lot more convenient and enjoyable. Overall, this adapter feels like a high-quality upgrade that brings modern smartphone integration to my vehicle with minimal fuss. Highly recommended!

Great smart upgrade for my 2010 Camry

I installed the Rexing 7" wireless touchscreen in my 2010 Camry, and it works great. The screen is bright and allows me use Android Auto and GPS/music at the same time hands-free. Installation was mostly straightforward, the instructions and included parts made it easy to fit cleanly onto the dashboard.
One small issue I noticed is that some of the clips provided to secure the power cable feel a little small and don’t hold as firmly in certain areas of my car’s trim. This might be a combination of my car’s plastic and the clip size. That said, if you route the power cable under the trim, these clips are not essential. A bit stronger adhesive or slightly larger clips would be great for the next model.
I like the extra USB-C port on the power adapter allowing me to charge my phone while powering the screen. The 90-degree design keeps everything flush and tidy. Overall, it feels like excellent value and a smart upgrade for any older car looking for a modern infotainment experience.

Awesome upgrade to my early 00's car. Seriously easy to use and set up. The monitor is good quality and bright. I've been using it with Android Auto mode and it makes everything so easy. I can voice reply to texts and easily split the screen between music and navigation.

Great choice for Apple car play/Android Auto

This REXING 7" touchscreen is a must have for older vehicles without built-in Android Auto/CarPlay. It brought modern features like wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to my car without replacing the stereo. Setup was straightforward, and it paired with my phone almost instantly. The display is crisp and clear. I was particularly impressed by the airplay casting feature, which allows mirroring my phone's screen—a feature that feels like an added bonus at this price point. There are several ways you can output the audio. I tested the AUX output, which works flawlessly to route sound through the car speakers and I could control using steering mounting controls. It also supports FM transmission and Bluetooth. Also, it has inbuilt speak as well but I personally find AUX audio out the best. The packaging was also very well done and everything felt premium and secure. If I have to nit-pick then the port accessibility is very tricky after installation since ports are located at the bottom, which makes plugging or unplugging cables inconvenient.
Despite this minor drawback, the REXING 7" wireless touchscreen has completely transformed my driving experience. From hands-free calling and music to GPS navigation on a larger screen, everything works smoothly. I highly recommend it.

Review
I Was looking to get a wireless CarPlay unit for a long time. I was recommended about rexing by a friend who had recently purchased one and I bought the cpstream model. I am really happy with my choice.
The unit came with all that was required to install including long power cable that can run from 12v socket to the unit. The mounting unit felt very sturdy and the sticker feels high quality and I am sure it will hold on a very long time. The bezelless display looks very modern and has a slim form factor. Overall the build quality was impressive.
The display brightness and contrast at mid level setting feels adequate even when driving into the sun.
Pairing my phone to the unit was seamless it hardly took me 2 minutes and the setup menu screens are self explanatory. Overall great quality software with no lag.
Really glad with the purchase as I don’t have to rely on my small phone screen for navigation and receiving phone call’s anymore.

I recently purchased the Rexing 7" Multimedia Receiver for my son’s 2002 Honda Accord, and it has been a total game-changer. Since the car lacked modern features like CarPlay and navigation, this was the perfect upgrade.
The setup was incredibly simple. I actually tested it inside the house first to ensure it synced with our phones, and we had it connected to his iPhone 15 in a matter of minutes. Now, he has instant access to Apple Maps, Spotify, and Pandora right on the dash. While the built-in speaker is a bit weak, the FM transmitter works perfectly, allowing him to stream high-quality audio through the car’s original sound system. Overall, this is an excellent, budget-friendly solution that was remarkably easy to install.

I have used other car screens that you can mount on the dash but they always have trouble with touch and lags. This one is super snappy and quickly connects with Carplay every single time.
I like it simple plug and play device. comes with a mount with no stick pad that keeps it firms on the dash. My Jeep has texture dash but had no problems with staying put.
I you have an older car and want truly handsfree wireless CarPlay then this is very easy and simple upgrade. Recommended.

Easy CarPlay addition for a non CarPlay vehicle Huge screen for gps alone and then add the rest of the CarPlay features is awesome. Love that you get a trxt notice and then it will announce the text and reply through the stereo. If you already have a dash cam it’s a perfect addition. The interface is smooth and easy to navigate. Definitely recommend. The mount is great and flexes to any surface curved or flat

I got this to go into my older RV that doesnt have a "smart radio" in it. I cant believe how easy it was to setup and get working.
I tested with both Android auto and Apple carplay and it fired right up on both platforms. The bonus thing is the Evelink mirroring, this is one I will let you investigate on your own, but it is pretty unique and powerful.
The only real downside is the limited mounting options that come with it. If you dont have a really flat spot to stick down to, it will be tough to mount it. It does have a pretty common mounting system on the display itself, so you should be able to find aftermarket mounts to work better if the rest of the unit fits your needs.
The display itself is fast/responsive and the brightness is good even in bright sun.
Overall, for the price, this is a great unit to add smart features to your vehicle.

I have Apple CarPlay in all of my vehicles at home. However, I'm traveling for work very often and get placed into rental cars that don't have CarPlay enabled natively. With this portable display device, I can have CarPlay with me anywhere I go. I drive so much that having CarPlay all the time is essential from a safety and convenience standpoint. The package has everything I need and easy to setup with my iPhone.

Been using the Rexing Apple Car Play screen for a few days now, it’s nice. Only one complaint is that the glue did not hold on so well after one day (found the screen laying flat) but I stuck it back on to the provided adhesive pad and it has not come off since.

I love REXING products. I have the front and rear camera in my truck and when I upgrade I give my old units to my family and they are still running strong. I purchased this unit for the gps and CarPlay capabilities I plan to install in my Polaris rzr. It plugs in to my sound bar! Super happy can’t wait to take it out on the trails!

Great modern upgrade for older vehicles

I picked this CPStream7 to breathe new life into a OEM factory integrated unit on a older vehicle without any integrated GPS or Android Auto or Apple CarPlay.
Installation was very straightforward for ease of installation, I routed the USB cable through the dash to the unit's determined location, cleaned the dash surface of any wax or cleaning products for the mount istelf. Once I did that I just affixed the mount to the dashboard then clipped the unit to the mount and set the angle then tightened down the back set screw.
The included 12v adapter has a USB-C port on it as well to charge your phone which is super helpful. It's also made out of aluminum and is very sturdy and well built. I ran the USB cable down to this adapter on my 12v outlet which is controlled by the key, so turning the unit on and off was handled by the car itself.
I appreciated the provided mount having a flexible rubber base which allows it to truly adhere to as much dashboard surface area as possible. The mount is also notched on the inside to set the angle and height easily without it slipping or moving once you tighten down the back set screw.
The unit itself is relatively thin which helped with the installation and allowed me to position the unit in a more natural spot in the vehicle I was installing it in.
Overall it gave my older vehicle a new lease on life when it came to modern vehicle convenience. Being able to use Apple CarPlay in the vehicle is a great upgrade. I found that the responsiveness of the unit when using it is extremely fast and intuitive, there was no lag and everything was quick and instant. I had the whole thing paired with an iPhone in a few minutes and used the built in FM transmitter to get around my current vehicle stereo's bad bluetooth which was yet another bonus.
I'm really happy with how this turned out and the car feels entirely new now after I added this unit to it.

I installed this Rexing CarPlay receiver in my older Toyota that didn’t have any modern infotainment features, and I honestly love it. It completely transformed the driving experience. Now I have Apple CarPlay with navigation, music, messages, and hands-free calling just like newer cars.
The setup was surprisingly simple. It mounts easily on the dash and connects quickly to my phone, and after the first time it basically reconnects automatically whenever I start the car. The screen is bright, clear, and large enough to easily see maps and apps while driving.
One of the things I really like is how it brings modern technology to an older vehicle without needing to replace the whole stereo system. I can use maps, stream music, and even respond to messages with voice commands, which makes driving safer and much more convenient.
If you have an older car and want CarPlay without spending a fortune on a new head unit, this is an awesome solution.

Rexing continues to impress with its product quality and this CPStream-7 is no exception. I’m usually wary of "easy setup" claims, but this lived up to the hype. It took me less than five minutes from unboxing to start using the car play seamlessly in my old car. Also, this is one product which connects easily to the native car speakers and doesn’t require us to use the 3.5mm jack for calls and streaming music . The package consist of mount, cables, a charging head to get started. I bought a cd mount holder for this device for my convenience but it’s more of a personal preference here. Would definitely recommend this product to anyone who is missing the new car technology to be available in their old car.

I picked up this Rexing 7" wireless display adapter to add CarPlay and Android Auto to my older vehicle’s dash, and overall I’m pretty happy with it, especially considering the price point.
Setup & Installation:
Installation was straightforward and truly plug-and-play, no complex wiring or professional help needed. The unit comes with a dashboard mount and a USB-C power cable, and you’re basically ready to go once it’s powered up.
Performance:
Once connected, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto work reliably most of the time. Navigation apps, music, and calls show up cleanly on the 7" touchscreen, and pairing with my phone was quick thanks to the dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support.
Screen & Touch:
The 7" HD screen is crisp enough for maps and media, and touch controls are responsive. It’s not super premium compared to built-in OEM screens, but it gets the job done well for a stand-alone add-on.
Audio:
Audio can be routed through Bluetooth, AUX, or FM transmitter. I used Bluetooth most often, and sound quality was solid through my car speakers.
Things to Know:
Because it’s wireless, you might notice a bit of phone battery use and occasional latency compared to a wired CarPlay/Android Auto setup. This is pretty common with wireless interfaces in general.
It’s not a full infotainment replacement, just a smart bridge screen to your phone’s apps (but that’s exactly what I wanted).
Summary:
For under $130, this is a great way to modernize an older car without ripping out the dash. It’s easy to install, adds wireless smartphone integration, and works reliably for everyday use. If you want high-end audio or super-fast responsiveness you might look at premium units, but for what it is, this Rexing screen delivers a lot of bang for the buck.
