The Rexing V1P flex is a pretty comprehensive package to provide peace of mind while driving. You get the front camera unit, a rear camera, an SD card, a "quick power" solution to plug into your 12V outlet as well as a hard wire solution to tap into the fuse box (recommended for cleanliness and to free up your 12V for 0hones and other accessories)
There are two adhesive pads included. When mounting, make sure you have the connectors plugged in to make sure you aren't too close to the mirror. Don't want to burn a pad because you can't power the camera (ask me how I know)
Setup of the system is really easy, just plug it in and hit power. Install the mobile app and connect to the camera via wifi. You can do a live view of the front and rear camera as well as take pictures and videos.
The tricky part is a clean install. You will want someone experienced with removing trim if you aren't, to tuck the wires so it's not a mess
The image isn't the best when viewing through the app, similar to the screen on the display it's quite blurry. You can't read house numbers or plates.
However, when you go to play back actual video clips, it's super clear. From there it's a couple presses and you can export to your phones gallery.
Overall it's a pretty cool setup to include front and rear video feed for protection and there's an option to include a 3rd cabin camera. Great if you ride share.

I’m seriously impressed with this dash camera. Installation was super easy – it only took about 10 minutes, and the instructions were simple and beginner-friendly. I loved that everything I needed was right in the box, including a memory card, so I didn’t have to buy anything extra to get started.
The video quality is crystal-clear 4K, and you can really see the difference. What makes it even better is that it includes both front and rear cameras, so I get full coverage of what’s happening in front of and behind my car. That extra angle gives me a lot more peace of mind while driving or when parked.
The dash cam walks you through the setup with easy step-by-step instructions, and the interface is super user-friendly. Even at night or in bad weather, the footage stays sharp and detailed.
If you’re looking for a reliable, high-quality dash cam that’s easy to install and offers complete coverage, this is definitely the one to get. Highly recommend!

I have had many Rexing dash cams, and they have always been very reliable and work great. I have very little issues, and one issue come to mind and that 18-month warranty (with registration) came in very handy and the Rexing support was great and provided me with a replacement. Physically mounting the cameras is easy and they have now included a static clear sticker that you can mount first and then use the 3M tape, this allows you to remove the camera and reattach it with the static film that you peel off starting at an edge. No issues with it falling coming off at all so far. Two of these for both the front and back camera would be a welcome addition. I was able to find more on Amazon though.
However, I am having a bit of a struggle with this smart wiring kit that this model comes with. It may be my car to be honest, I am not sure, but after three days of struggling with it, I gave up and decided to just use the 12V cable instead. My troubles boil down to either I can get the Rexing cam to work with the hardwire kit, and I have to give up some functionality of my car or I just use the 12V instead. It seems the car I am installing this into (2006 Honda Pilot) doesn’t like the fuse connectors that Rexing has supplied here. It won’t pass power back to the device I am trying to tap into it, so I am using the 12V ACC constant fuse, my Rexing works great, but my radio stops working. After much trial and error I did finally get it to work and I found that I had to use my existing fuse and add it to the Rexing harness connector. There are two fuse spots which thru me off guard. Once I did that everything worked normally. Also, the rear camera cable was not long enough for my Pilot, so I had to get a 4 wire extension (6FT) replacement on Amazon.
Putting aside my obvious failings here, the camera quality is great during the day, and it makes it easy to read license plates in the perfect light. The rear camera is only 1080p, but it works ok. At night, it is decent overall, not the best, but passable for video that you may need. The included 32GB microSD card is a welcome addition to get you up and running, but you will want to get a bigger card (one that Rexing recommends of course) if you want the ability to store more days of videos. A 2-minute clip takes up about 320MB at 4K so you can’t store that much on the card. It will overwrite the oldest clips so you can keep the fun going though. The small screen and buttons are difficult to navigate and unless you memorize them you are just hitting buttons to hopefully find the right menu item that you want. I wish Rexing would update their button navigation to a D-pad or some sort that makes more sense. The markings on the camera for the butts are nearly impossible to read. The screen is very small and this whole unit can be tucked away and is not really visible. I do like that it can basically be totally hidden behind my rear-view mirror.
The Rexing connect app allows you to stream a live view of the cameras or you can download clips to you phone if you want to save them. The whole process is a bit cumbersome, once you do the initial set up, you have to turn on the Wi-Fi on the camera (good luck with the menu navigation), then launce the app on your phone, then click connect and you have to connect to the camera Wi-Fi. Once you have it set up, you can quickly download the files or view the footage that you want. I found that it took just about 10-15 seconds to download a 320MB file. The Wi-Fi won’t stay and will eventually turn off so you have to go thru the process again each time. Overall, the entire package is a good one, with the included hardwire kit (your mileage may very), 32GB MicroSD card, front and rear camera (hopefully you don’t need an extension for it), electrostatic window cling, 18-month warranty, and Wi-Fi connection make this a great inexpensive dash cam to help protect yourself in the event of an accident or other event.

Great price at Best Buy. Installation was quick about an hour and the Technician showed me how to use the buttons and pull up the videos on my mobile phone. For this you have to disconnect phone from Apple/Android car play and connect to the camera wifi which is very easy. Front camera has a small footprint and hides behind the rear view mirror so does not obstruct your view at all. Camera comes with all cables necessary to connect to car battery for power and cables are completely hidden for both front and rear cameras. Pressing the UP button once stops recording which you can do if you want to stop recording to preserve and extract the videos.

Great 4K Dash Cam

This is my third Rexing dash cam, following my previous V2 Pro-AI model, which I plan to give to my wife. There are a few key differences between the two that I’d like to highlight. First, the V2 Pro-AI has a 1080p front-facing camera, whereas the V1P Flex features a 4K camera. The advantage of the 4K camera is significantly improved picture quality, though the downside is larger file sizes that take up more space on the SD card. While I wish the included 32GB SD card were larger, the loop recording feature compensates for this limitation.
The V2 Pro-AI offers features like lane departure and collision detection; however, I found these more of a nuisance and have them turned off. I don’t miss these features on the V1P Flex. On the other hand, the V2 Pro-AI includes GPS, which is a useful feature, but you will need to purchase a separate GPS antenna if you want this functionality on the V1P Flex. The V1P Flex does come with a wiring hardware kit, allowing you to power the camera directly from your fuse box—a great feature if you want to enable the parking monitor.
Unlike the V2 Pro-AI, the V1P Flex does not have an in-cabin camera, but this is likely only beneficial for rideshare drivers. One notable upgrade on the V1P Flex is the 5GHz WiFi connection, which significantly speeds up file transfers to your smartphone.
Overall, the V1P Flex is an excellent dash cam that performs exactly as expected. It captures high-quality, wide-angle video from both the front and rear, which can be invaluable in the event of an incident.

This is a really great, sleek dash cam with a sizeable screen for the size of the unit. Very easy install, even if you hardwire it. Just have to run the cable to the fusebox and plug it into 2 different 15v accessory fuses. One that stays on all the time, and another that only comes on with the car. Make sure you have the tall 15v fuses to put back in the wiring module.
Both cameras have a clear, sharp HD movies, even at night. It's also very easy to retrieve videos off of the unit and onto your phone. I like the screen saver on the unit as well. So far this camera has been very "set it and forget it." Don't even have to worry about the 12v coming unplugged.

The Rexing dash cam V1P Flex X4 is an amazing product! It comes with front + rear cameras at high resolutions (4K front, 1080 rear), it was very easy to set up and use and you can easily extend the warranty to 18 months by simply registering your product!
It comes with a 32GB memory card in the box as well as a hardware kit. The picture quality is very good both during daytime and night driving. There is also a smartphone app that you can use to connect to the dash cam and manage the settings or view captured videos. Overall I'm very satisfied and would highly recommend this product to others!

When I opened the box that this Rexing Dash Cam came in my first thought was how big is this? I assure you it is rather small, but don’t let its size fool you. It is small but really a good camera.
This is my second Rexing Dash Camera and I already had the App on my cell phone and adding the V1P was simple and straightforward. I really like how simple the App is and how you can use it to make adjustments. My older model did not have a rear camera it was forward looking only, so it did take me some time running the wire to the rear of my vehicle and getting everything hidden, but don’t be alarmed its not that difficult. I also suggest that prior to purchasing that you go to BestBuy.com and check the compatibility w/ your particular vehicle.
The camera is a lot better clarity than my old one, not saying the old Rexing was bad at all its just very noticeable how far Rexing has advanced in making these cameras. I like the fact that they include a micro SD 32 GB memory card w/ this camera. I have ordered a larger capacity simply because I do a lot of traveling and w/ the loop system I can story more of my trip. I really like that this version has collision sensing, and it works really well and alerts you if are getting to close. I also like the fact is has the parking monitoring, I stay in a lot of different motels when I travel and it gives you a peace of mind. The screen is 2” measured diagonally and crystal clear I love the clarity. The forward looking camera is rated as 4K while the rear is 1080p.
My only dislike is that I have large hands and fingers and the buttons on the front of the Rexing V1P are not that big and are closely spaced together, but I have found that I can use my stylus on the end of my pen to access those w/out a problem.
Again, I was impressed w/ my older Rexing camera and I am equally impressed w/ this one. I have not tried any other brand so I can really compare to another company, simply because I feel “if it isn’t broke don’t fix it” type of person, and Rexing has been very reliable for me and its a brand that I trust. If you are looking for a good, well made, dependable and easy to use and install dash cam I would highly recommend the Rexing V1P.

I have never used a Dash cam of any kind before. As a newbie I have some insight that is unique to beginners. First It took 30 minutes to read the manual. I wish I had registered the Dash Cam and download the APP before we installed the Rexing - V1P Flex X4 4K WIFI Dual Dash Cam. I forgot to write down the serial number on the instructions and had to go back and do that after we had installed the Cam. I needed it to register the Cam. The instructions sound straight forward when reading them but they leave a lot out. Downloading the APP before starting the installation would have made it less confusing, quicker and easier.
The actual installation of the cam in the windows along with the wiring was simple. The Cam came with everything we needed to get that part done. We charged the dash cam before we installed it. The front camera plugs into the cigarette lighter to give energy to both cameras. The rear camera simply plugs into the front camera.
The viewing camera in front is very small. The buttons are impossible to read without a magnifying glass for my aging eyes. The buttons would be much more user friendly if they had some color on the icons. All in all I think we need a bigger screen. This one just does not work for our needs. I really like that i can download the recorded video using the APP on my phone. The view is very plain but again it is vey small. I think this would be perfect for a younger person.

Fitment failure

So, when the offer a fitment check to make sure something fits your car...make sure you know how to make a proper fitment chart.
Your installation instructions show the preferred layout of how to install. The car mfg's don't hide details about specs on the cars the fitment includes. So when you check all the boxes and it says "it fits" you expect it to be true.
False.
First was the sneaky hidden detail the my car uses Micro2 fuses and not the Mini, which is the only option in the box. No big deal, I'll just use the lighter adapter instead...still no fit. The cable isn't long enough for my car to be routed and hide the cable. So back to the hardwire. Rexing offers a kit but you're better off buying a 3rd party connector instead, not giving them more money for lying about fitment. $6 and a couple days wait and I was back in business.
Rear camera - remember that fitment pass? Another fail. Installing the wire as shown in the manual and I'm 2' short. Back to Amazon to buy another extension.
Finally after getting everything installed it's working great. Not sure about the longevity, but at least I got it all hooked up.
They really need to do a better job of checking fitment or just list the length of each cable and fuse type in the description or, heck, in the installation manual.

Placed the order and delivered the next day, that was fast, used rexing 1080 dash cam before so I know its a trusted brand, time to upgrade to 4K now, I like that it comes with sd card and hardwire kit, usually it has to be purchased separately. a couple of years ago i got hit in the back and the lady took off and ran away, wish I had rear dash cam back then, the cigarette outlet was easy plug and play, the most time consuming part was to run the cord and hide along all the way to the back, still doable, took me less than one hour to set everything up. The wifi function was improved compared to the old one I had always had some wifi issue. This stealth shape is the best dash cam type to get, I had a camera type shape dash cam got stolen once, it just got pulled off the windshield hard and left a double sided tape with bracket. Buy a trused brand so you know it’s working when something happens.

It’s been over a few weeks of using this dash cam and I’m enjoying it very much. Off the bat, I will say that I wish I could hide it a bit more as I don’t like to advertise I have electronics in my car, but it is much smaller then the last model I had in this style so I think Rexing is heading in the right direction so I’m still very pleased with it! One rexing dash cam I purchased 4 years ago is still running strong in my daily driver today with no hiccups. They seam to last and they have a lot of models to choose from. Last but not least, I will post updates on how well the Wi-Fi feature works after a few months of usage as this feature is pretty important to me and I have not used it much so can’t say how well it works or doesn’t work. Thanks for reading my review and happy buying.

Rexing V1P Flex 4K Dashcam was a great choice. Installation was easy and enough wiring was provided to cover the length of SUV for front & rear cam. I set front recording to 2K and rear to 1080p. Able to read license plates as long as it is stable in the view for about 2-3 seconds at constant speed. Enough details to protect you incase of an incident. Locking footage works as expected. Wifi connect to iPhone works well. Able to remove card and use a card reader in laptop to import footages. Overall great choice. Recommended.
