Introduction Dashcams have become more of a necessity than luxury for most people. It’s even more important to have a rear cam as well. Rexing is a new name for me in the world of dashcams. Going in This is my 2nd 4K dashcam, and I’m interested to see how the quality of the video looks. What comes in the box? Out of the box you get the front facing camera, the rear camera, a DC to USB-C adapter, a 32 gb micro SD, an electro static sticker, a hardwire kit, 2 3M application stickers, 2 mounts, 6 cable clips, a cable management tool, and inserts. Minor wins The Rexing connect app is one of the most barebone apps I’ve seen for a dashcam, and in a way, that’s good. You can view the video from your phone. It’s just a cumbersome process of turning the wi-fi on the dashcam, and then connecting to the device’s wi-fi, and then pressing wi-fi on the app… a lot of steps just to see what your dashcam is recording on your phone. Major wins The price point for a front facing and rear facing camera is pretty good. Especially one that’s touted as 4K… but I’ll get more into that in the major issues section. Usage I have 3 dashcams in total, and this is my 2nd 4K one, so I was excited to see how the video looked. Installation took about 20 minutes. I’m very picky on where the dashcam is situated, so I spent a few minutes using the electro static sticker to find the most adequate placement that wouldn’t impede my vision. If you have experience installing a dashcam, and have used a cable wedge tool, that will feel familiar. The rear camera’s cable had a lot of slack, so remember to install it with your tailgate open if you’re installing it on a minivan or SUV. The hardwire kit was intimidating to install considering I know very little about fuse boxes. I called my mechanic buddy and he helped me through the process. It’s a nice feature that alerts you when your car is hit or moved in parked mode. What I don’t love is that extra sensor that I have to attach to the front windshield. I think it’s just one too many things to have. The front windshield looked cluttered. I ultimately decided to remove it. The dashcam itself has options on record time, date, resolution change to 2K, etc… the dashcam like the app is pretty basic, and once again, I kinda like that. Minor issues I wish this was a touchscreen dashcam. I’m guessing that including a touchscreen would have raised the MSRP, so I understand why they didn’t, I’m just saying it would have been a nice feature. Those little buttons are difficult to see at night. I’m thinking if the buttons were backlit, that would have been great for night driving. Major issues The 4K video on the front facing and rear facing are pretty bad. I don’t just mean bad for 4K, I mean just bad in general. As you can see in the photos, it looks like an image from a cell phone from 2005. The images were jaggy, and looked like low resolution video captured on a 480i device. I don’t know how this passes as 4K. The rear camera video is just as bad. I thought it may just be in need of a restart, and no, it’s just that way. The worst part is that the video I record has these lines running across it, almost like what you would see on an old CRT monitor. I reset the unit, and the same. Maybe I got a faulty one? I have another 4K dashcam, and that actually looks like a 4K monitor. Primarily for People who don’t have a single dashcam in any of your vehicles. Probably not for People who already have all their vehicles situated with one, and those who like way better video quality. All in all This is a decent dashcam by Rexing. This is my first, and probably last one that I would get from them considering how bad the video quality is. The app and dashcam itself are pretty basic, and that’s a good thing, but at the end of the day, it’s all about the video that’s captured to use in the event of an accident. The video is subpar. I would not recommend this.

First ever owning a dashcam for my car, and it has been working very good with pretty sharp images. The hardwire kit makes it possible to record when my car is parked. The installation is straightforward and appreciate the tools and 32GB card provided to make this package a very good value.

This device works well! I still have it and it is able to take on the heat. The cameras have been so clear and the recording capabilities have been superb. I bought this device becuase of the rising concern of insurance scammers and my neighborhood and believe me when I tell you, thanks to it, I have so much security and captured a lot of evidence and information. That said, The device was easy to install and the manual is easy to read. I give this device 5 stars. Before purchase, make sure you watch videos on how it works, and make sure the camera fits your car.

I've purchased several dashcams from Rexing over the years and they constantly are improving. I've never had one fail yet and only would upgrade to get new technology that they put into them. I've been with Rexing for about 5 years now and I wouldnt go any other way, the customer service is fantastic, and their products havent let me down yet! This camera feels as though its built solid, it has high quality cameras, and the wiring kit that comes with it makes for a great and easy install.

With the increase in vehicular theft, vandalism, hit-and-run, and other numerous situations that leave you as a victim and with a bill, I feel the necessity for a dash-cam is exactly that...a necessity. In comes the V1P Flex X4 4k. The 4k is crisp, and the rear camera is solid as well. The ability to power it up and enable it's Wi-Fi to quickly show the police what happened in a suspected hit-and-run or when someone tries to flip the blame onto you, is essential. I've been using Rexing products for a number of years, this, is yet another hit!

Overall, solid dashcam. It works very well for the price and has a very simple interface. I specifically like parking mode, granted that would require you to hardwire it, but it’s so worth it as I know if anyone hits my car or messes with it!

I have use Rexing Dash cameras for 5+ years in 4 different vehicles and this is just the newest version in their line up. which includes rear camera & SD card which is unlike their kits in the past. So far very easy to install and great camera quality. I have only used for a week but after 3 months i will make a point to make a final review so i have more use on it!

I've been using Rexing dash cams in my vehicles for almost a decade now. I got the idea to start using dash cams AFTER being sideswiped in my dad's sports car by a driver who then took off after the accident. I've used the same Rexing model in both of my vehicles the entire time, and both have worked flawlessly. It's time to add additional dash cams for newer vehicles, and I was pleasently surprised at how much the technology has advanced since I last purchased a Rexing dash cam all those years ago. This Rexing V1P Flex X4 is A LOT smaller in overall girth, and it's a lot lighter than my previous model. This is great because the size\weight of my other older Rexing model causes it to slide\shake off the mount in one of my vehicles (the aforementioned sports car that I now own). The screen resolution on this V1P Flex X4 is a lot more crisp and clear compared to my previous Rexing model too. You technically don't really watch the screen per se, but it's still nice to have a clear picture. Rexings technology has always gotten the job done as far as functionality with the continuous recording option, write over feature, and ease of transferring files you want from the dash cam micro SD card to another source. I appreciate that this time around, Rexing and Best Buy INCLUDE the hard wire kit AND a preferred style\capacity micro SD card in the package rather than making customers find\buy these separately. Can't go wrong with Rexing dash cams, and the V1P Flex X4 is the latest proof of that. Give it a try. No need to thank me :)

I recently tried the Rexing 4K Dash Cam, and it has exceeded my expectations in terms of quality, features, and ease of use. Video Quality: The front camera records in true 4K Ultra HD, and the clarity is outstanding both during the day and at night. The rear camera provides 1080p coverage, which is more than enough to capture details like license plates and road conditions behind me. The wide-angle lens ensures a full view of the road without distortion. Design & Build: The compact design fits neatly behind my rearview mirror and doesn’t obstruct the driver’s view. The display screen is bright and clear, making it easy to review footage on the spot. Buttons are conveniently placed and intuitive to use.

To anyone looking at these going “do I really need one” the answer is a resounding YES!!!!! everyone should get one. I have used many different types and brands, this is by far the best one. Price wise and quality and durability and just the whole nine yards makes this better. I have it in mine, my wife’s, bought it for my dad, and going to for my mother when she gets her new car. It’s 1000% the right choice. Do It!
