Not only that it only captures movement once the person is within 5 to 10 feet and viewi isn't very clear (based on Ring door bell}

They said there was no ground wire. I had to call an electrician to do the install at triple the price only to be shown there was a ground wire. Very poor service. Instead of a $99.00 install I paid almost $300 due to do what the geek squad should have been able to do. Next time I’ll shop somewhere else

RING motion detector LED floodlights fail quickly

LED lights are supposed to last 10’s of years. Can’t find any Ring customer service support. Just be careful. $$ to get an electrician to install a new one in addition to the $$ cost of a new unit.

The Ring Floodlight Cam LED bulbs will last for tens of thousands of hours (on the order of 20 years) before burning out. Also, all our devices do come with a limited one-year warranty which will repair or replace any Ring products that malfunction due to defective parts or workmanship at no charge to you. There are also extended warranty options available through our Ring Protect Plus Plan options. You can find more information about extended warranty options on our website.

Buy something else. Not worth the money or the time. The doorbell functions ok. The system just lags too slowly and their security software is hacked religiously by internet predators and robbers. Until they fix those dire issues. Stick with ADT!
