I love this item, it comes on at dusk ends at dawn. I also purchased the Ring smart light bulb(A19) so when anyone steps on the property the garage area and pathway lights up. Did I mention that the pathway lights alert your phone when it detects motion. I fell in love with Ring brand after this purchase I replaced my old flood lights with the Ring floodlight Cameras. I even purchased the solar light up sign. Cons: Very pricey(I caught the black friday sale)

I have been using the ring Smart Pathway lights for almost 2 years and absolutely love the products when they work. The setup is simple and they do exactly as advertised. The lights are brighter than any other solar light on the market and the motion detection works well. They also charge perfectly during all but the coldest months, when I may have to bring them in once over the winter to manually charge. You may then wonder, why the lackluster score? These lights are designed to be outside and yet, I have not had a single light last more than 2 years. Luckily, I am a total tech member and get to swap the lights for a small fee every year, but I would not keep replacing them at full price. After about a year, the gasket in the housing fails and the lights begin to take on water. Once that happens, they have about a month left until they corrode and stop working. It should be noted I do not open the housing after setup(except for a single charge during winter) and the lights are not moved or messed with to cause any undue strain. If Rign fixed the leaking issue, these lights would get 5 stars all day long. But until that's fixed, 3.

These pretty much sell themselves. Their best feature is their built in motion sensors …so when you utilize them to line your carport. Any immediate interaction withing your property line your notified. I hope this helps sell more of them. These puppies are not cheap at a Benjiman a pop l, but you may catch them on sale and if at any time there’s an issue. Be sure you’re a total tech member. Your loyalty to Best Buy is truly rewarded in the long run. Ive been with them since the 90s or before that…..let us mot age here:)

I own both battery operated (d cell) and this solar one that you can charge with any usb cable to the wall. Last long and makes my family feel more secure shining light on any activity in or near our yard. We live in a townhome so it also catches neighbors activity but I’m ok with it…they think I see them when their dog is pooping in the yard and they are more apt to pick it up when the lights come on.. lol…and when I pull into my driveway each light including a smart bulb ( not Ring) that I have on my porch illuminates so I can walk to my door with light. The app is easy to use and integrate great with other smart bulbs.

So far so good - purchased these to replace the ring battery powered pathlights (moved those to a place that does not get much sun) - so glad they came up with the solar options! great addition to ring security system and great to have them tied in to motion sensing around the house - definitely worth it just for these features easy setup and bright at night - happy with the setup

    Two minor issues

I have almost all the Ring products and got this for my front walk. It is great to be able to control the light output, set timers, link it to other Ring devices. It is sturdy and puts out substantial light on high. I have two small complaints. One, where my walkway is located doesn't get a lot of sun, so it doesn't get a full charge. Not the biggest issue and not Ring's fault, I have to pull the battery out about once a month and charge it in the house. If the solar was more powerful maybe this wouldn't happen. I can't move the sidewalk, so ... My second issue is that the motion detector is only on one side. So it will pick up motion in only one direction. Not ideal if you use only one. If you use multiple, then I see it would be fine, have one pointed left and one right etc. I will buy more down the road. Maybe if they put them on sale. $35 isn't cheap for one walkpath light. But this is pretty high tech and very controllable through the Ring App.

Wanted to give 5 Stars, but reliability and WiFi connection aren’t there yet. Purchased 5 solar path lights approximately two months ago. Had to send one back due to motion sensitivity issues. Today while I write this review only two of the five path lights work. The three that don’t work have WiFi issues that haven’t been solved, which yield the path light useless since they don’t know when to turn on - you can’t control through the app since they have no connection. I’m a big supporter of Ring with a full blown alarm system that’s worked flawless. Surprised and disappointed with these path lights that set us back more than $240 for a set of five. Edit: changed to 5 stars due to Ring customer service who was able to troubleshoot the issue - they replaced the batteries for all three path lights.

These are a great addition to the ring family. They can help with motion detection and will work in conjunction with your ring cameras and your other smart devices. I put these around my gardens in front and my walkways. It adds a really fun light up pathway!

For the money it costs for custom lighting, this was a no brainer. Having the app to control plus the motion detection and other settings, these are a no brainer. Just wish they hadn’t sold out so fast because we need to order more :)

Got tired of replacing the batteries in my old battery powered path lights. This is a way better value! Lights are bright and they aren't as heavy as the ones that have D batteries inside. Worth the upgrade.

I have been using Ring products for years and have always loved what they have to offer. These solar lights have a rechargeable battery and I need to charge them maybe 2-4 times per year even whilst they get great sunlight. They are high quality but if you're not careful you can break the ground stakes. I set them on dim then they light up full strength when they detect motion. They also can trigger other Ring products to light up or record when they detect motion. Great for backing out of driveways at night!

Truly incredible solar lights that make your landscape or yard look so modern and beautiful. It has a great battery and runs days on full charge depending on your light setting schedule. The brightness can be adjusted how you need it. Must have the Ring bridge to work with it. You won't regret this. Highly recommended. My wish is for Ring to make it multi-colored. Now that would be super amazing.
