Q: Do they take a battery n if so why if they are solar
A: Every solar powered light has a battery to store the energy captured from the sun. If they didn’t they would only be able to produce light while the sun was on them (vs storing the energy for after dark)
A: for pathlights, it works fine. i think the limitations stem from video and doorbell stuff. mine just lights up via motion detection and set up light schedule
Q: If purchased with a bridge are these lights also cameras or are they simply motion detectors
A: They are not cameras, but the motion detectors on the lights can be used to trigger a ring camera.
Q: Can these lights be kept on or are they only motion sensitive.
A: The stay on all night, but they get brighter when they sense motion.
Q: Would it be possible to Mount these by the pole to a fence to avoid 2-3’ of snow each winter?
A: They make specific lights to be mounted on fences and these would not be good for that application.
A: The solar panel keeps the battery charged but it also comes with a charging cable
