Set up was very easy and camera performs well. So far (2 weeks) battery has only dropped to 95%! Recordings are clear - even the black and white night recordings.

When you’re having trouble receiving notifications or seeing a Live View, or a recorded video, this might mean there’s a problem in the data transfer. As a result, communication between your mobile device and your Stick Up Cam can be impacted. This could mean your Ring app is unable to show you a Live View or display a video recording from your Ring Stick Up Cam. You might see a message that says Activating Device, but the camera eventually times out.
Please check the device health section of your Ring application for the signal strength of your Ring Stick Up Cam. If your signal is poor or very poor, you may experience delays and poor connectivity. A poor signal can be caused by the distance between the router and your Ring device, the layout of your home, or interference caused by other devices (TV's, game systems, etc.) or materials in your home such as stucco, brick, metal, large mirrors or glass doors.
Also Ring Community launched in March 2019 to help deliver the most current news and educational information to our customers. You can find tips and tricks from other Ring users at https://community.ring.com/. This peer-to-peer forum allows our neighbors to share their feedback and experiences to assist each other in resolving their concerns.

Do not buy refurbished ring cam

In pursuit of our mission to make neighborhoods safer, when applying technologies to our business, we always consider our three pillars of customer security, privacy, and user control. We understand how important it is to have your devices working as intended, as it offers a level of security in your home. After reading your review, it seems that your Ring Stickup Camera is having trouble staying connected to your home wifi. When this occurs, we recommend rebooting your wifi modem and router. Since your router and modem are usually the hardest-working devices in your house, for optimal performance, you should reboot them about once a month. To reboot routers or modems, follow the instructions below: Unplug your router or modem from its power supply (don’t just turn it off). If your router and modem are separate, unplug both of them. Wait at least 30 seconds, then plug them back in. Wait for your internet to be restored.
