The stick up cam has excellent viewing properties automatic night vision it's backed up by the cloud it was super simple to install super simple to link to the service the only thing that's the issue is they tell you that it has a backup when the power goes out will that's half true because when the power goes out your router goes out when your router goes out no service now with the alarm it keeps over to a cellular service so it's still backed up the keypad whatever sensors you have and all that but the stick up cam it doesn't work until your internet is back on.

So far so good...have two outdoor ones plus this one, and all of them work flawlessly...Ring has definitely gotten one of the best systems out there. And it is cheaper than all the other ones.

We just wanted simple cameras to use for monitoring our place with basic internet when we’re not home. Working well. We saw a black bear walk through our driveway yesterday and were alerted quickly after motion sensed.

Lost first night WiFi connection and couldn’t get it back. After calling Ring I am getting it replaced through warranty. Great service for their product. The other camera is working good. Just wish they weren’t fisheye cameras and get better pictures from further away. Basically they are for up close monitoring.

I exchanged the battery version of these for the wired version. I purchased a small network switch with PoE and wired these using solely CAT5E cables. They work great! They have great field of view and a pretty clear picture. The night vision works much better on these than the battery version as well. The live view feed turns on much better via ethernet vs WiFi as well. If you have a Ring Alarm, Doorbell, or Alexa devices, this is the way to go! I love the integration into the Ring app and alarm system. With Alexa, I was also able to enable my backyard lights to turn on (via smart light switch) when my backyard cam detects motion. These are easy to mount and easy to set up. I just ordered another one of these, my 4th, so I will have every angle of property covered. They've withstood heavy rain and wind outdoors as well. I think the only issue I've had is the two-way feature doesn't work well. Not sure if it's the speakers on the camera, or the app doesn't pick up my voice very well, but the person at the camera cannot hear me speaking unless I'm pretty much yelling at the top of my voice. Not that big of a deal, since I don't use this feature much other than to mess with my wife. Siren works fine if I needed to use that.

I bought two Ring - Stick Up Indoor/Outdoor Wired Security cameras for my 2nd home. These are the 3rd and 4th Ring devices I've installed. They work perfectly, just as I've come to expect. The camera quality is terrific (HD), even allowing you to zoom in and see detail in the captured video and using night vision for completely useful video in low lighting. The Ring smart phone app is excellent - providing very good control of the motion detection (range and size/sensitivity), alert settings, and more. The web service (storing and sharing captured motion video) is very useful too, especially for monitoring a home that I don't live in every day. The Ring product and set-up information provides an important disclaimer about mounting the camera where it points out a window. Doing so creates reflection (off the glass) and prevents the night vision from working properly. I did so anyway because the simplicity of installation (and access to an electrical power outlet) offset the poor quality night vision video.

Couldn't resist the pricing on this camera so I took the plunge and bought it to mount in my garage. I have to say that I am glad I purchased this camera! Easy to set up and add to my home's Ring network. Not only does it provide continuous camera coverage, but provides motion alerts as well to let you know if someone is moving about. I have to admit that one of the main reasons I bought it was to provide peace of mind and confirm that my garage door is actually closed, with the alternate motive of providing additional security for another point of entry into the house.

This camera is easy to setup and is PoE powered. The PoE powered part is what drew me to it. I hate the idea of going around recharging things or replacing batteries. The PoE powered means you do it once correctly and it's good for a while. The UI is great. Easy to use. Even for non technical people. The ability to specify and configure the motion sensing is also great, The main drawback is that this device uses a service. It does not work at all in a disconnected world. Furthermore the service requires a subscription (albeit a very affordable one) in order to retain recording data. As a consequence of being a remote service... there is no "real time montage" of all of your cameras. Rather there is a mechanism that attempts to get close to delivering this by presenting a still frame that updates every 60 seconds. I personally would still prefer to deploy a local DVR system but the simplified UI makes this device a good choice for those that are not technically inclined.

Great addition to the ring camera family

I was looking for a ring camera option to monitor my front lawn and driveway. I already have 2 wired spotlights and the doorbell 2. Another spotlight may have been a bit difficult to mount high up enough but then I saw the new stick up elite cameras. It seemed to be a perfect option. I am running it as a Poe camera with the signal and power coming from a powerline adapter with Poe. It works like a charm. The ambient light from the nearby streetlight give the camera a great view of my driveway and front lawn. Even at night.

Ring stick up camera for talking to our dogs!

Ring stick up camera installed in just a few minutes by plugging into power and thru our ring door app easily went online. Now able to talk with our barking dogs as we need. In addition adding the camera to our ring account was much more economical than buying another Nest camera that we initially bought for the outside yard cameras. Wish we would have tried the Ring Camera before!!

I own 4 ring products and have been using them for several years now. Overall, I would have to say that Ring does a very good job for the price you pay and their commitment to product improvement is outstanding. They are always tweaking their apps and services, adding features and improving others. This review is specifically for the Ring Stick Up Cam (wired) version. I am very pleased with the quality of the video these devices deliver, although a fast upload speed from your ISP makes operating these units much more reliable. I presently have 23Mbps upload using Spectrum Broadband and the performance is acceptable. It can be frustrating when an event has occurred and you are sent a notification and are prevented from taking control of the device in (or a long delay) due to streaming the event to the Ring cloud. This isn't a huge issue however and rarely causes a problem for me. The features in the Ring app are pretty awesome, but sometimes confusing, especially with notifications. For example, there is a difference between getting a notification on the Ring Chime, versus the Ring App, you can enable one or the other or both, each having their own volume control. I would like to also see time-based recording options as opposed to having to manually turn off recording. Time based notifications can be configured, but this doesn't prevent the device from uploading motion-based video events. It would be good to be able to exclude uploading video based on whether I'm home or not, or time-of-day exclusions. I have mixed feelings about cloud-storage for my videos, and there are always trade offs vs a local DVR, but in terms of ease-of-install and use.. it's pretty hard to beat the Ring products. For very large installs I'd probably recommend a dedicated mutli-camera system if you go over 4 cameras, not for any real reason other than upload bandwidth is going to catch up to you in high-traffic environments where you have indoor and outdoor Ring cameras almost always sending event-driven video to the Ring cloud. Aside from all that, the quality of the Ring products is fantastic. The included installation hardware is second to none, you're getting everything, including drill bits in some cases. I have no reservations about purchasing any products from Ring.

Finally a Ring Camera without a Spot Light

Finally, a Ring camera that does exactly what I want. I’ve installed multiple Ring Spotlight Wired Cameras and they are fantastic – except they have spot lights. This Ring Stick Up Camera can be discretely mounted and will not flash on a light if someone walks by or some bug flies by or some rain drop floats down or the wind blows in the wrong direction or whatever else is causing my Ring Spotlight Wired cameras to kick on the light for no reason at all. This Ring Stick Up Camera simply does what a Ring camera should do – be a camera. Why wasn’t this made sooner? I bought it days after Best Buy started carrying it and can’t wait to buy another one as soon as it’s available in Black.

I did a lot of research before buying the Ring Stickup Cam and I’m very happy with my purchase. I installed it outdoors to view the front of my property. It was very easy to install and setup. The image is clear and has a wide field of view. You can also set the motion detection to only go off within certain areas which is nice so you avoid getting notifications every time a car drives by. For $30 a year I can access and recordings from motion and save them. Not too bad in my opinion.

Have been using it for more than an year now and very happy with it. I had ATT external cameras as part of the home security services. I bought this ring camera to replace the att camera. I am using it as POE and it works great. Excellent image quality and field of view. I have Ring security system in the house. This camera works very well with it. All in one app to manage everything. $10 per month fee covers professional home security plus unlimited ring cameras. I have 4 cameras outside my home. Installation might be tricky when installing it outside. One minus is that you cannot access this camera using Google Home app. I have many Google devices in the house and I am heavily invested in Google ecosystem.

After several scary incidents at my mother’s house, we installed these cameras inside her home to monitor what is going on, who is coming and going, whether she is okay. She insists on living alone, cannot hear well, is elderly and has diminishing capacity, fading memory and occasionally poor judgment. With this camera installed, we are able to remotely monitor and assure her safety. It gives peace of mind, as well as insight into what her day-to-day life is really like. She feels safer knowing that the cameras are there.

Love this camera. Image clarity is great. Night vision works real good. Had a few false alarms relative to picking up movement in the monitored area...have not figured out what caused the false alarms. Other than that, the camera is working flawlessly. Will probably buy another one to expand the areas that are being monitored.
