Quality is good
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to setup and the quality is good. Night quality isn't that bad. If you need it to run on batteries, get the door bell 2 since the pro doesn't run on battery and needs to be wired.

Love My New Doorbell
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased a new ring doorbell over the holidays and I absolutely love it. Installation was very easy if you can use a drill and a screwdriver; overall, the installation took maybe 15-20 minutes. I appreciate that ring provides everything you need in the box with different colored face plates, screws, a screwdriver, etc. I was a little concerned my ring doorbell would be too far from the modem (~30 feet) so I purchased the doorbell extender but I did not need it. PROS: - I love being able to see who is at my front door just by looking at my phone and I do feel a little bit safer. - The Ring Neighbor's Feed is an AWESOME feature. It allows you and your neighbors to share Ring videos of suspicious characters that may be in the neighborhood. The Ring Neighbor's Feed is basically a technology based neighborhood crime watch. I feel my neighborhood is relatively safe but I was shocked by some of the videos shared by my neighbors. - Cloud storage of videos for up to 60 days (this does require a subscription to one of Ring's Protect Plans). CONS: - There is a video delay (~5 seconds) to my phone from when motion or the doorbell is activated. This isn't a big deal but a few times the delay has been longer and I have missed the person at the door. - If I'm away from the house and use the talk feature to communicate with someone at my door, the sound and video is a little choppy (this could be my internet connection at only 25 Mbps). - These doorbells are a little pricey at almost $200 but if they last for 5 years or so I believe it's a good investment - If you want to see recorded notifications you will have to subscribe to Ring's Protect Plan which is $30 a year for one camera and $100 a year if you have multiple Ring cameras. This isn't that bad for home security but I've seen reviews where this rubs people the wrong way; however, cloud storage isn't free and the charge is minimal. Ultimately, you don't have to subscribe but you will lose some functionality. - I wish there was a way for ring to push video notifications to my smart TVs so I could see who was at the door without pulling out my phone . I gave the doorbell 4-Stars due to cost and long-term reliability (some customers have had to replace their doorbell after a few years). Overall, I greatly enjoy this product and if my doorbell continues to function well I will look into upgrading more aspects of my home security with Ring products when funding is available.

Now getting peace of mind
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We really like our ring doorbell. Now when I'm out of the house, my Dad can answer the door with his Echo Show. That way the person knows there is someone at home. He is unable to get down to answer the door physically. The microphone is very sensitive and picks up every noise outside. The Ring app lets you see problems going on around the neighborhood. We can also post if we have any unusual occurrences. The picture on the cell phone and on the Echo show is just great. I can get the video on my lap top as well. So we're all covered. We have Echo dot and Echo Plus in two other rooms and they pick up on the notification as well. We really like our Ring Video Doorbell Pro. We're in a 50 year old home and the wiring had to be changed for the doorbell which cost a pretty penny, but I think it was worth it. We like the hard wire so we don't have to worry about changing batteries.

Easy to install and works great.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm a single lady so the fact that install was easy is a total plus. I didn't have to call a friend for tools or help to install it. And, it works too! I installed one chime unit and the doorbell unit. The chime alerted me to motion so I peeked out the front window and sure enough there was a cat just making herself comfortable in the sun. All good. I also have a hard wired surveillance system so this Ring camera was to improve on the detail and position of the available cameras. The Ring camera is great, every bit as clear as the ones that are hard wired. It does exactly what I wanted it to do and provides me a good picture of anyone approaching the door from an angle that catches their faces if they don't hide them. Nobody that get around that. The ring has recorded activity every time my hard wire system does for that area of the house. I'm happy with this purchase.

Great way to add security at a great price
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Found this on the Deal of the Day and it included the Amazon Show 5. They are popping up all over the neighborhood, so I thought it would be worth the low price to add one to my home. The 30-day record function was neat while it lasted and I could see the neighborhood wildlife stopping by my front porch each night as well as when my packages were delivered. I even texted a neighbor to pick up a package for me right after it was delivered so it wouldn't get stolen while I was away for a few days. Great video and audio. Installation in lieu of my existing doorbell was simple and quick and the chime pro is in my garage so I can hear the doorbell if I'm out working on the car or doing something in the garage. I recommend this one if you're looking for a little more security piece of mind.

GREAT BUNDLE!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The bundle was priced very well (the Ring Pro is $200 by itself). So you can't beat a deal like that! The picture is crystal clear as well as the sound, and the night vision is top of the line. Very easy to install, and works with the Amazon Echo unit!

Works well
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We installed our Ring Pro fairly easily. You do need to put a small device in your actual bell in your house, but that was not difficult. The setup is simple on your phone. We got many false alarms, so I had to set it up for minimal sensitivity. Since then, only 1 false alarm in about a week. It works with our fire TV also, so I can ask the Amazon Fire to display the front door and it does. It isn't practical though if someone is there. It just takes too long to load the view, but it could be a nice feature. We have the one with the chime, so I didn't try to setup anything else with our Amazon Echo (to announce someone's arrival). The chime works well & does the job without anyone having to even touch the doorbell. It is great as so many people don't use doorbells and we sometimes don't hear the subtle knocks. Now they don't even need to knock or ring the bell!

Decent Product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Generally pleased with this product. Pros: 1. Picture quality in daylight or non infrared night with decent lighting is excellent. 2. The Ring app, which this camera works with is fairly good, well organized, and works reasonably well. 3. The app notifies you when the doorbell is rung... and gives you the opportunity to engage with your visitor regardless of location. So far it seems to work ok, but the connection is not instantaneous. There is some delay in connecting. Picture quality is very good. 4. In my situation, I get notifications on my phone silently regarding motion near the camera, and I can click on the notification and review the related video. 5. When the doorbell is rung, I get a sound notification on my phone, and the opportunity to connect with the visitor, or play back the video if I have missed him. In both cases the Chime Pro inside the home rings with a different sound for motion or door bell press. There are several choices of ring sounds. 6. I also have the Ring alarm system, which I rate highly. It uses the same app as the camera, and the two are integrated together in this way. 7. If you buy the alarm system, and the camera, and pay the $10/month or 100/yr monitoring fee you get 60 days of video for an unlimited number of Ring cameras at any one address. You also get professional monitoring, by what appears to be a very decent monitoring company that works with high end corporate clients. I spoke to them briefly, and they seemed VERY competent. You also get a protection plan to replace or repair any of the components of the alarm system (including the cameras) at no cost if they fail or break. 8. Ring has a policy to replace your camera at no charge if it is stolen. They do require a police report. 9. Technical support, especially 2nd level, is decent, has a good attitude and has been helpful. 10. Build quality of the device seems good. 11. There is a Ring website available to review videos on your computer or down load them. If you have the data plan or alarm plan, the videos are saved on the site and available for download for 60 days. Cons: 1. The delay in connecting mentioned above. 2. Video is only recorded on motion detection or door bell press, or if the "view" button is pressed in the app. Video is event based. Continuous historical video is not available. The Google door bell will record 5 days of continuous historical video (at a greater cost for the service). 3. Night vision, which the camera flips to under low light levels upon motion detection, is sami black and white, and seems at a lower resolution. I believe it is infrared based. The camera makes the decision to flip to infrared, there is no user setting to turn this off. 5. The "Chime Pro" which is part of this package, and plays the door bell chime, as well as acting as a range extender, has some issues remaining connected to wifi. This could be a possible problem. I am only using it as a chime presently, If it was required as part of my network as a range extender for another camera, this could possibly be problematic. 6. The camera requires a strong wifi signal to operate properly. Mine is located fairly close to my router. Your experience may vary. I am relatively new to this product, and will update this review further if I have more to add, and if the Best Buy website allows it. The above review reflects my understanding and experience with the product, and my understanding of the Ring alarm plan and camera replacement policy. You should verify all of this before relying on it, in the event my interpretation is incorrect.

Happy to have this!
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Peace of mind for us because we can now catch thieves (package deliveries) and other bad guys in front of our main door. We can now sleep better. We have been thinking about replacing our first Gen video doorbell which is the battery powered...and after reading so many reviews online, we decided to go with this bundle. We totally love everything about it! The best thing I like most on this is you won't ever need to replace and charged your battery...LESS HASSLE. It's directly connected to your power source using power adapter. Easy to install (only if you know HOW) and configure with your wireless network. Last thing is the clear video recording of it(day and night), although you need to pay for it...for me it is better. Great product! I will recommend it to anyone.

Best Ever!
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve had my Ring Doorbell Camera for a couple of years now and have since added additional cameras and other Ring compatible devices, because of being very pleased with it. It allows for more security not having to open the door to strangers who don’t know how to read, or don’t understand what no soliciting means. It’s also entertaining to see their faces when asked; was there a sign on the walk way and is there one on the door? And what does it mean? Most of the time, I think they’re just checking to see it someone is home. With the Ring Doorbell, they really can’t be sure. It has also captured some weird behavior, as though they don’t know it’s a camera. :-) In this day and age, I recommend it for everyone! Very easy set up; I did it myself.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This camera has been top notch, always informs you of movement, and after some tweaking with the zones it now only alerts us when there is actually someone at the door. Inexpensive Piece of Mind
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this for myself as a Christmas present! Easily installed, and love it! Been looking at them for along time; but never pulled the trigger. Wish I would have bought one years ago. Best Buy had a Christmas sale and couldn’t pass it up. It works great; even bought 2 more for my son and daughter. Once you fully dial in the motion zone (takes a few times) your set. I especially like the “neighborhood” alert. In my city, the police department also reviews reported instances that neighbors report. And for the price it really is inexpensive. It’s great for any age household, but for us seniors it gives us a more secure feeling. Great present for Fathers/Mothers, especially who live alone.

Easy to install doorbell cam
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Ring Video Doorbell Pro has been a great addition to our home. We’ve had some people wandering around our neighborhood at night breaking into cars and who knows what else. This camera have given us peace of mind that we have are keeping an eye on our home. It was easy to install. It attaches to the wiring from your doorbell. This has been great keeping an eye on our front porch if any packages or things are dropped off on the porch. A bonus of having the camera is knowing when our kids are coming and going as we get alerts when there is movement. The monitoring service that Ring offers is also a must have to go with the camera.

Fantastic Product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very pleased with the quality and ease of installation of the Ring Doorbell. The Ring Pro has a much smaller profile than the original which makes it a much better candidate for more narrow door facings where some original switches (like mine) are mounted. During installation, your Ring Pro Doorbell needs to be powered by your home's low voltage doorbell transformer for 15-20 minutes to fully charge it before you attempt to configure it with your cellphone or computer. I missed this small note in the instructions, and was fairly frustrated when my Ring would not connect to my WiFi . You'll know it is charged when the ring around the pushbutton is fully illuminated. Other than that, it works flawlessly and has already yielded some very interesting activities right outside our front door.

Completely Satisfied
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this Ring Video Doorbell Pro & Chime Pro package after I bought and installed the Ring Alarm Starter Home Security Kit. It was simple to install and configure. Being able to customize the zone for notifications was a big deal for us since we live on a busy street. It was a simple change and reduced notifications significantly. I recommend getting the chime since it integrates seamlessly with the doorbell. It offers more tones that the digital chime we've had for the last 15 years, so it was an upgrade for us and eliminated the need to try and get it to work with our chime. Once added, the doorbell and the home security system can be managed using the same mobile app (iOS for us), which is a big plus.

Ring my bell!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought the first version over a year ago and let it sit in my closet and didn’t have it installed. But then I purchased this new one and ended up having it installed. It’s the best thing I have done being that I work full time Monday thru Friday. You get notifications when there is motion at your door on your phone or when someone rings your doorbell. You can speak to them live. I have asked delivery men/women to leave packages that needed signatures and they have. I have talked to people while at work from my cell phone. There is also a whole ring community that has its own sort of social media page to keep other users informed of suspicious activity or people in their area. It’s very cool. Between my Yale smart door lock and my Ring doorbell, I feel very safe and secure.

OK so far
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good video quality. Easy to set up and use. After reading some of the reviews, I am a little worried may not survive the really cold nights we have here. I've seen the voltage dropping at night and the mechanical doorbell stopped working when the IR lights are on... I had to add a Chime Pro..
