When I first hooked this up everything was working fine, but on the 3rd day my internet dropped from 80Mbps to 5Mbps. When I was wondering what the problem was (thinking router, modem, or ISP issue) it turned out to be that the surge protector was decreasing my internet speeds. Ended up taking this back to Best Buy because of this one issue. Not worth the $50 if it means it can't even deal with ethernet cables running through it at a consistent speed.

This item will be used in highly active area so have yet to stand the test of durability. Will report back if doesn't withstand very long

We had a power outrage today and we lost around 900 dollars in appliances. I would never recommend product to anyone.

After several Internet speed tests with various cables, wiring the coax through the surge protector leads to a huge bandwidth drop in download speed (from 55 Mbit/s to 2/3 Mbit/s), almost 25 times slower! Normal result or bad piece of hardware in my unit?
