Wall plate design is weak

I had a wall with studs further than 16" and this mount was unusable. I exchanged it for a Sanus Full Motion, and that mounted no problem, worth the extra money.

Best Wall Mount I have Used

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We bought this for a 50” 4K television and I would consider myself an experienced handy person and this was my 3rd wall mount installed in our house. Strike 1 was when I had it all ready to go and put the lag screws in and the seals bag ONLY HAD 3 SCREWS. Apparently counting to 4 is complicated. Called my local Best Buy store and they stated I had to box and return the entire thing rather than swap out a hardware kit. So, off to Home Depot to get a replacement lag screw and washer which I had to paint black. This was by far quicker but frustrating. STRIKE 2 came when I tried to secure the TV secure screws and the bottom hole seemed undersized because I nearly stripped out bit screws and damaged them trying to tighten. Tried swapping screws and same result so defiantly a hole tolerance issue. TV is still not able to secure completely down tight. STRIKE 3 was when I called rocket fish for replacement hardware and they stated it’s no longer available even though the mount is still sold in stores. COMPLETE AND UTTER DISAPPOINTMENT. Customer service on both ends horrible and hardware is seemingly very cheap. First and last rocketfish mount. Period.
