Gets the job done, could use improvement

First, the pros; it swivels, tilts, rotates, all that fun jazz. In terms of those things, I'm very happy.
Now, the cons; first of all, the instructions suck. Things like "mount the horizontal bars onto the back of your TV". Okay, great, which end goes up? And there's about 40 holes on this thing, which ones do I use and why? Turns out that it is to allow you to mount your TV higher or lower on the bracket, but without any context or knowing if you NEED it higher or lower, it really doesn't tell you very much. Almost every part of this thing is adjustable, but nowhere are you told when or how to adjust it. For instance, the wall mount has 4 slots (not holes) through which to put the lag bolts. That means that the entire mount can be shifted however you want. That's great if your studs are slightly off center, but it's a nightmare if you're trying to center the thing above a fireplace on a piece of plywood. Finally, while every single tiny aspect of this thing can be adjusted (which I like), most of the adjustments need to be done during the installation and can't be changed afterwards (well, not without removing the TV first anyway).
Once you get everything the way you want it, the range of motion is incredible. They've just done a poor job in helping you to get to that point.

Good for the price, but ship to store not home

For starters, this mount has up to a 15-degree forward tilt (I couldn't find that information anywhere), which is better than many other brands. On my previous TV, I used a $50 ematic full-motion mount but you could tell it wasn't all that sturdy as there was a huge tilt to the TV when the mounting arm was angled to either side and not directly square with the wall. This Rocketfish mount is significantly more sturdy and you don't have to worry too much about getting the wall mount bracket perfectly level at the wall because the primary place of leveling happens when you connect the TV to the mounting arm. I got the $100 deal on this product and am very happy with it; however, I would definitely recommend buying in store or having this product shipped to the store rather than your home. I had initially chose the ship-to-home option and the box arrived severely battered. When I opened the box, there were multiple pieces of the mount that were broken and so I had to take it to the store for a replacement.

BEWARE the TV Interface Screws!
Posted .

BEFORE you install this mount, skip all the way to the the LAST step and verify that the 2 little "TV interface screws" will actually thread into the holes provided on the mounting arms. Mine did NOT (and I have seen another review where they also did not - although that reviewer didn't figure out why). The two "TV interface screws" provided in my package were ENGLISH instead of METRIC - they acted like they were cross threaded when I tried to install them. I had to buy 2 metric screws at Ace Hardware in order to complete the installation.
Otherwise, this is a decent wall mount - sturdy and adjustable EXCEPT vertically. Just make sure that you get the height on the wall right the 1st time. For me, it was well worth not spending $300 on the better, fully adjustable mount. It holds our 55" TV fine.

good, but limited centering on studs

This mount is strong, easy to install, secure, and flexible for tilting or swiveling. The only thing we don't love about it is that it's limited on holes for attaching it to studs. Some mounts have a series of linear holes to choose from for mounting. This one only has one set. Since our studs are not centered in the wall, but we wanted the TV to be centered to the wall, we had a lot of trouble figuring out how to overcome this limitation. We were able to make it work, but if we had known, we would have paid more for a model with more flexibility for centering it. However, maneuverability is simple and smooth. When extended, the TV does not remain level and has to be re-leveled.

Excellent Product

Exceeded my expectations. Infinite adjustment possibilities. Eazy directions. You're going to need: a stud finder, pocket level, drill (an impact drill would be best to drive the 3/8 X4 lag bolts) or a socket wrench and a philips screwdriver. The unit tilts 10 degrees up and down. Also nice is that if you don't get the wall mount perfectly level, there's an adjustment that allows you to level the TV after it's mounted.

This mount states it supports up to 100lbs. My tv is roughly 78lbs. After mounting the TV, the arm sagged a little. it's been about 1 year now and the TV sags A LOT!! I pushed the TV all the back against the wall and it's still slanted. I will have to put the stand back on it's original legs and sadly, i wont be able to return this stand because how long I've had it. It does move very smooth and had a LARGE range of motion. Just can't handle the weight they describe
