This is a wonderful case. It's adds virtually no bulk but I imagine it is more shock absorbing than a skin sticker. The screen may still need some protecting though, but it's good to know that if you lay it face down, the case will keep the actual touch screen from touching a table's surface.
Biggest con: I would have liked more room for a large audio jack to fit easily. As it stands I use a small audio extension cable to make it into my car's thicker system cable.
The HDMI ports and Micro USB port work well. The power and volume buttons work as well. Doesn't block anything. Good openings for sensors, speakers, mic, etc.
The case itself isn't too sticky like other silicon cases, nor is it too slippery. So it easily slides in and out of pockets without getting stuck, while not sliding around on a table.
Sometimes the boxy corners of the VM Triumph just irritates my hand. This has a good feel in hand, as it adds some a more curved fit into my palm.
Flexible, but rigid. Easy enough to remove phone. Won't pop out accidentally, so far. Nice color.
Even though I appreciate the amazing Otterbox hybrid designs, (which I have used on my previous Optimus V) this will be enough case for me to stop searching.

There aren't a lot of case choices for this phone, but you could do a lot worse than this Rocketfish. It's transparent, so you can still see your phone, and it offers decent scratch protection for the back and sides.
It doesn't add very much bulk either, which is good since the Triumph is pretty large to begin with. The vinyl case surface is smooth, which keeps it from picking up pocket lint like some silicone cases do. It gives the phone a good grip on tables, as well, so you don't have to worry so much about it getting knocked off.
My only real complaint is that it doesn't offer any serious shock protection. The vinyl is thick, so it might absorb something, but you're not going to be able to toss this thing across a parking lot like an Otterbox.
Overall, price and feature wise it's a great deal. Dead simple to install too, just pop it on and it stays put.

I dropped my new Motorola Triumph once, soon after getting it. I was suddenly motivated to buy a case to protect my $250 device, though I normally didn't buy cases for my phones--I've been pretty careful with mine. At Best Buy, I didn't have many case options for the Triumph, but I've had good experiences and heard good things about Rocketfish so I went with this one. Very good purchase. The case is quite thin, in my opinion, and doesn't add a lot of bulk. It has protected my new phone perfectly. My one complaint is that it is hard to out on/remove, which makes it annoying to get to the battery, SD card, etc. (though, luckily, not things I need to do very often).

I just had to write share my story as to how grateful I am to have bought your the Rocketfish Case for my Motorola Triumph. Today, embarrassingly, my phone fell out of my back pocket and into the toilet while I was using the ladies room.
I immediately stopped what I was doing (pulling up my pants, tehe) and yanked the phone out of the bowl without thinking (it's amazing what you'll reach into a toilet for).
I promptly removed the rocketfish case, then pulled the battery as quickly as possible. I finished dressing myself in the stall and then continued out to the bathroom counter.
I ran to the wall and pumped a handful of hand sanitizer into my hand and rubbed it over every part of the phone and case.
I then ran back to my suite and pulled out the SD card at my desk. I then took my can of compressed air and blew out every possible crevice. I then took the phone (without the battery/SD card) out to my car and put it in the window so that the Florida sun would help dry it out.
I left it in there for an hour (careful not to leave it too long to ruin it that way too). Later that night, after work, I drove to the store and bought a bag of white rice. When I got home, I placed my phone in the rice for about two hours.
Once that time was up, I cautiously optimistically put my battery in hoping for the best... and it turned on...
Everything works... everything is fully functional... and I truly believe this case saved my phone by covering up the most vital parts creating a decent seal.
Thank you, Rocketfish!
