So adjusting up/down worked fine. We mounted our bracket a half inch off...but we're able to adjust tilt on one side only by loosening screw. So didn't have to take off wall to fix. Very pleased with that !

It is sturdy and comes with a template that you tape to the wall to align for drilling the pilot holes for the carriage bolts. The bracket is wide enough to span 2 wall studs and sturdy enough that the TV doesn't have to be perfectly centered on it - in the likely event that wall studs don't line up with precisely how you want the TV positioned. I like that it has a latching feature to prevent the TV from being knocked off the bracket. A wire coat hanger or similar tool will be needed to unlatch bracket at the bottom and then you can simply lift the TV off the bracket. It does require 2 people to install or remove the TV, however.
