Love this stick! I already have the Ultra and the old Roku 2? with the ethernet port. The stick is very fast with 4K but was giving overheating messages after an hour or so. Checked Roku support and they offered an HDMI dongle to extend the device away from the TV. Worked great! Problem solved. Only some TVs that have the HDMI conn behind. Edge TVs are normally OK.

I was skeptical at first when buying the Roku but was talked into it. So this is my second one !! I didn’t know I would like it that much; especially with the headphones/ ear pieces to listen intimately. Sometimes when I watch T.V they don’t even know that I’m in my office. So I can hide out for a little from the kids. Lol. The only CON is you have to go though so many avenues to get to what you want to watch but u get use to it after a while and it can have some technical difficulties loading . Which is few and in between.

I have a TV and Blu Ray player in my detached porch, about 30 feet from the house. I can't run cable to it so I looked into this Roku Streaming Stick as an option to being only able to watch DVD's. I am amazed at how well this has worked out! Not only gets a great signal from my wifi router but an endless choice of things to watch!! Oddly, my cable company suggested Roku to replace one of my cable boxes if I didn't need all the channels I get from their site. One time payment, many many free programs and movies available, a win/win situation for anyone who would like to keep their cable bill down a bit. I was so pleased with this, I mentioned it to my sister who was looking for a way to get more out of HER TV located on a porch without cable. She's just as happy with the Roku as I am! I would strongly recommend looking into the various Roku items to anyone looking to expand their viewing pleasure. This one works well for me as it was explained that it is able to pick up the signals from a greater distance than the box does, but the box processes faster. I find there is no issue with the stick at all and am glad I purchased that instead of the box. Very very good product, I am considering turning in another cable box to buy one more.. Love the free access to "Cold Case" and "Without A Trace" which I can't get with my cable.. Kudos to Roku for developing this product!! It was also very simple to connect to my TV and router. just plug it into the HDMI source and follow the simple instructions. I am an older person who really isn't a technical whiz and I set it up in minutes.

I have an old 50 inch plasma tv I refuse to let go, one that has a 600 refresh rate. And it is still kicking like new. This remote is programable from 720p to 4k. It pairs with my tv instantly with the software updates provided by Roku. Plus my tv's volume works with this remote. It also comes with an internet signal enhancer attachment which helped binging I moved the tv to the other end of my house Had me worried for no reason. Also the Roku remote has the voice control feature. Has headphones also that plug into the remote.

I love having Roku on my smart tv. It has enabled me to stream so many programs that I couldn’t access before purchasing it.

We finally cut the cord and got rid of cable! We researched what our options were and decided on Roku. It provides us with all the options we needed including YouTube TV. The headphone jack is perfect for the nights or situations where we need quiet. Easy setup - just need to create a routine account - have a device handy when setup the Roku stick. We ended up buying several for the other TVs. Essentially updating our smart tvs without having to purchase new tvs!!

This is a newer version Roku stick that allows it to control on-off and volume of TV as well as having headphones. I plan to use it when traveling so that I can watch TV while my wife reads or sleeps! BTW, this is ONLY available at Best Buy (the Stick+ version with the headphones). To get the same options otherwise, you will spend about $69 for basically the same repackaged 4k version (this one IS also 4K).

I was running the fire sticks for about a year or so, and they were just getting slower and slower. I switched to spectrum tv, so I needed the roku anyways. They had these on sale for $49, the same price as the regular 4k stick, but this has the ability to plug headphones into remote which is a nice feature. I like how I can program the roku remote to my tv to be able to turn it on and off, and also control the volume. The roku is extremely snappy, and the picture is beautiful. I recommend this roku!

Very easy to set up. Had an older Apple TV+ box, but started having buffering issues and picture slow down. I couldn't see spending nearly $200 for a new Apple box, so I went with Roku instead. Installed the Roku stick and all was good in the world! They seem to get it--took about 10 minutes to set up fully with all of our streaming options and apps, and the dongle is unobtrusive. Love it!

We bought this to replace an Amazon Fire Stick on our kitchen TV that didn't play well with Netflix. We have since replaced two other Firesticks with Roku Ultras, which we prefer over the Roku streaming stick just cause the Ultra seems to perform a bit more reliably in out house and also has a "Find the Remote" button which is useful for us. For us, Roku greatly outperforms Amazon Firesticks and our older Sony Blu-ray players with wifi.

Slower response to the remote than the 2 ultra Roku devices we have, is much handier to take along than the ultras when traveling, takes up almost no space in the suitcase!

It's a great buy! You can organized the apps manually to your liking and the headphones are great! It's easy to use and visually the apps looks better than the Firestick. Although a Firestick 4K was faster to install than this one, it's still a better purchase. The remote is easier to hold than the very thin remote of the Firestick. Only complaint is the streaming stick sometimes gets warm, but no worries it hasn't done any harm yet. Planning to buy another one soon!

I really like Roku and I really like this model. It worked out well easy to use.

We have one of these sticks on every tv in our home. The earbuds are great for early risers not wanting to wake up the rest of the home and to drown out airport noise. We got rid of Satellite and Cable TV and really love Roku and the apps that we use and pay for within it. Much better and easier to navigate than Apple TV and the hard to use remote. Very quick and easy to set up.

I have both this Roku Stick and the Amazon Fire Stick. Overall, the Roku Stick is better in the main areas that count. The user interface (i.e. operating system) is better. And, it has a headphone jack. But, it is not perfect. The one (and only one) thing that makes the Amazon Fire Stick better is the remote. The Amazon remote is more stylish, especially without the advertisement shortcut buttons. And, the Amazon remote is more intuitive to use, with the volume buttons on the face of the remote (Roku puts the volume buttons on the side edge of the remote). The best of both worlds would be the Roku operating system + the Amazon remote + a headphone jack.

I put this on my old bedroom tv and I like it better than my 65 in Sony smart tv. I love that I can connect my headphones to this so my wife can sleep and I can keep watching. Easy to switch between Hulu and Netflix unlike my smart tv in the living room. I’m getting another for my tv in the office that I never even watch and I’m considering getting one for my smart tv. Best thing I can say about it is my wife can operate it!
