It's a Roku! Got it for my mother because it's simple and reliable. This Roku Ultra is fast, has a good wifi connection and a backlit remote. It's just what she needed for her Spectrum cable streaming. There are tons of additional streaming apps available.

I had a choice: this or Google chromecast. With google I should have also phone as an android, but I got Iphone. Now all works excellent and some apps or sites have airplay

I really like the Roku device. Very easy to use and understand. I have one for the living room and one for the bedroom. The controller is pretty self explanatory too.

This 2024 version is really a deal @ $79. The backlit remote (also rechargeable) is absolutely perfect. I actually replaved my Apple TV with one of these when the remote suddenly went bad on the Apple. Thankfully I had AppleCare for two years thanks to Total membership and BestBuy N Canton took care of me, which lead to me getting this nee Roku Ultra 2024 edition. My parents wanted to update the Roku on their main TV. They had an older Roku stick but it was getting pretty slow and not all the apps were working right. If we started a show on an app (Netflix, HBO, Paramount, etc) and paused it, once we started it up again the video didn't match the audio. It was annoying. Anyways, this Roku Ultra went on sale so we decided to get it and try it. And, it works really well! It is much faster than the Stick was, the controller is super nice and the ability to charge it with a phone charger is so much nicer than swapping batteries. The video also seems to be sharper, which I didn't think was an issue with the stick until we started watching stuff on the Ultra. So I would recommend the Ultra. The Stick was nice for what it was, and the ability to kind of hide it. But, this Ultra is just that much nicer without any of the downsides.

Much to my wife's chagrin, I have a box filled with streaming devices. Apple, Chromecast with Google TV, and all the rest. Each of them have their positives, but each of them, for me, has a fatal flaw, such as the Apple TV remote won't turn my TV off when I turn the Apple TV off (or on, can't remember) requiring me to have two remotes handy. The Roku Ultra just works. The settings are easy to use, the remote is backlit which is great, it is updated regularly, and it works. We have on on each of our three TVs. The only downside is the home screen will have ads/promotions for, say, a movie even if you turn off the ads in settings. But we ignore those, and they don't get in the way at all for selecting your streaming "channels" (e.g. Youtube TV, Netflix, Hulu, etc.) A huge selection of apps, and it all just works including the remote easily and transparently controlling my TV on/off and volume. Tried them all and always come back to the Roku Ultra.

The Roku Ultra has all the features you may want in a streaming device. The installation/configuration is very easy and simplified. If you already have set up the Roku app for another Roku device it is even easier. Speed of loading new content and viewing it, clarity of picture and sound are all exceptional. The remote is backlit and the voice activation works very well. This is my second purchase of a Roku device as I wanted a 4k/Atmos capable device. This has proven to be a great value.

Great picture, easy to setup, I chose Ethernet over WiFi since I had a connection right there. I like the rechargeable & lighted remote as compared to the models that use AAA batteries. I would recommend.

Its easy to set up and the remote volume controls is a very good addition, no need to switch remotes or even have multiple remotes handy cluttering space. Try to catch it when on special and you got yourself a really great deal compared to the firestick etc

Roku gives easy access to apps, movies, live tv, etc Easy to navigate. The Roku Ultra is fast and has a great picture. Roku Ultra comes with the backlit voice remote. The only drawback that I’ve found is that you can’t change the channel by selecting the number. You have to just scroll through them which goes quickly

I bought this Roku device to use on a TV that doesn't get used much but I wanted to still be able to stream my xfinity channels. It was easy to hook up and get set up to watch on. I like that the size is small so it did not take up a lot of space. The remote is easy to use also.
