We are senior citizens, not technically inclined, and found this very easy to set up. We are pleasantly surprised with the number of movie options available through Roku. There isn’t a last button or a recording option which we miss but otherwise great alternative to paying for cable boxes.

If you are a fan of ROKU, then you will be a fan of this one. I upgraded from a previous Ultra version and this one is extra snappy and fast. The book time is under 10 seconds and the menu is a fast as it has ever been. The remote is slenderer than before, is back lite when moved, has a built-in battery and a privacy button. It does not have an audio jack which was a disappointment. The battery life is not as long as the traditional AA battery remote. Any movement of the remote and the lights come on. I did have the remote run out of charge without any warning. When you turn on the ROKU it displays the battery bar, but I never saw a warning that it was about to run out. The only other issue I have experienced is with the Hisense TV. If I leave the TV on the ROMU channel and turn off the TV, it will randomly turn on but have a black screen. It didn't do this with the older ROKU Ultra, just the new one. If I change the channel on the TV to something else before turning off, it works just fine. RECAP - best ROKU device! Very Snappy and fast! New remote is great! Cons: Battery life of remote and no low battery warning. No audio jack on remote and turning on my Hisense TV randomly.

I have a 2017 LG television (it's not a smart tv) with the Roku Ultra. The picture is really HD clear. Being a baby boomer I'm not tech savvy. This was very easy to install on my television. Also with Roku Ultra it converts my 2017 television to have smart tv options. Also I like that the back lit remote that's a great feature. When watching television in the evening time.

This is a high-end streamer in my opinion. Roku is very user friendly. This model is their fastest yet and it does not disappoint. It can handle all the sound types available including Dolby Atmos, all the HDRs and of course 4K, 1080p, 720p and 480. The remote looks slick backlit and I love that it’s rechargeable via USB-C. Holds a charge longer than the previous Ultra which I also own. The headphone jack is gone but I didn’t use it anyway. Bluetooth is available for wireless headphones. I recommend getting a case for the remote because streamer remotes tend to be slippery. A case will make it easier to grip and add protection and make it easier to find if you go for something other than black. I use purple for my Rokus and orange for my Firesticks. For my use this new Roku Ultra is a no brainer at a discount.

I previously had a Fire stick. The fire stick is slightly more robust on its functions, but always had problems updating, and buffering, and locking up. The Roku is simpler and has not a problem with updating apps, and has never had a problem locking or buffering. I like the remote is back lighting, really nice at night with minimal/no lighting.

The device meets our needs as a newer, bigger model. We have had no trouble using it and enjoying it. The remote lights up when you hold it in your hands so you can tell which button you’re pressing. The Roku device itself even feels more heavy duty. All around 5 stars!

I bought this version of the Roku Ultra, to have a wired connection to the internet, through its ethernet port.
I found the enhanced features on the remote really made this a great choice overall.

Works great, the backlight on the remote is fantastic, more companies should do that. These are simple little boxes, input a username and password and start streaming, app after app after app.. they just work.

It was fairly easy to attach and set up to our TV. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. We appreciated the helpful advice from the Best Buy sales associate for which Roku device to choose for our use.

Intended to cut the monopoly of Cable service, Good hard wire and/or WIFI streamer device, live local Networks channels not so, hate the asking to subscribe for everything, who remember the infinite user/accounts Ids and passcodes, let alone so annoying and invasive. This streamer good for those Non Smart TVs but you still need WIFI or Ethernet service. . With Roku you get hundreds of channels some useless, Sport channels mostly showing days behind replays or decades ago games. If you expect to watch Superbowl or FIFA 2026,dream on!
If you location allows you, investing in a good outdoor antenna is a good option to be considered to watch local TV News, some worth it feature shows and available live Sports in local Fox, Univision,ABC,CBS,NBC,ION channels.
