I had been using my Sony Smart TV and my Dish Network Satellite Box to play the apps I subscribe to. However some of the apps would function better on one of these two devices than the other. Example --- For Netflix sources having Dolby Atmos audio the Sony Smart TV would play Dolby Atmos through the 5.1.2 speakers where as the Satellite Box would not but the Sony TV's remote has limited playback functionality. So, I decided to add a full blown streaming player to my system as a single go-to for playing my apps and the Roku Ultra reviews and write-ups suggested it has top notch audio and video outputs, a great remote, and excellent functionality in playing apps. I purchased and set up the Roku Ultra and agree on the audio and video outputs and its remote but its functionality in playing at least some of my apps is less than that playing them using both the Sony Smart TV and the Dish Satellite Box or on one of the two. Example --- In playing my Amazon Music Unlimited app on the TV or Sat Box the song choices display their audio quality and when a song is playing its track quality can be displayed. Not so playing the app on the Roku. I am back to needing to use the device that best plays any particular app. I wasted my money adding the Roku Ultra to my home theater setup for the purpose of doing so, but otherwise it is a very nice device.

Love my Roku. Easy to use. Like being able to recharge the controller and not use batteries. Reasonable price.

This Roku model works great. We needed a new one and decided to go for the Ultra model. Easy set up because we already have a Roku account.

Very easy to setup and use. The remote is fine and you can use your phone if you want to.

I've been a Roku user for years and this one is the best. The voice control and Bluetooth connectivity make it a super streamer.

My new Roku Ultra has a sharper and brighter picture, faster response on app changes, and faster response to verbal statements, such as "fast forward 2 minutes".

I bought this to provide Atmos sound to my older TV. TV has great picture, but does not support newer sound protocols. Roku provides both updated streaming and audio protocols and keeps my TV uptodate.

Easy setup works as exprected I like the backlight on the remote

Works great. Recently cut the cable box and this is unit is easy enough for the kids to use. Setup was a breeze.

I am very pleased with the new Roku Ultra! It has been working flawlessly and the backlit remote is really handy. We use it daily and have had no issues whatsoever. I can definitely recommend the purchase.

Improved tv looks like a new tv. Picture is amazing. Fast and easy set up.

Finally cut the cord on the cable! The Roku is easy to hook up and I can stream anything and also have live TV. Saves me so much money every month. I don’t know why I didn’t do it sooner.

Excellent device. Roku rules. Remote reminds you when to charge battery. Shut off mic on remote when not using it. Who knows when it listems and sends data later.

I can’t believe how much more responsive and vibrant this Roku is. It’s a much needed upgrade from my old model from 2019.
