The latest Roku Ultra is faster and with better picture quality than the prior model. If you want a high end Media Player model, this is it. The big news is the 2020 Ultra Model can stream Dolby Vision in addition to 4k HDR. This model also supports Dolby Atmos Surround Sound. There are many other features, like voice control and Bluetooth. The remote is easy to use, unlike the remote with the Apple TV Plus . I own the prior Roku Ultra and Apple TV Plus. The 2020 Roku Ultra is my favored streaming device.

Easy to get started and to use and so much faster than the BluRay player we had been using to watch streaming services on our TV. Two gripes: 1) Set-up requires a Roku account and a payment method, even if we only intend to use it for services we already subscribe to or free streaming. Also, although some shows/movies have a little "lock" next to them indicating one needs to pay for them, that isn't the case for all. So I'm wary of clicking on anything that might automatically charge me to "watch" even if I don't mean to click it or watch it. I am impatient and don't want to search for tips online so this is kind of a personal issue. 2) We subscribed to AMC+ and while watching a movie, the image periodically became a double-image and a few times the color changed to make it look like an old electronic screen that is going to die any time (e.g., it became digital appearing and white areas turned green/blue/red). I've never noticed this problem while watching any other show on regular TV or streaming through our BluRay. Still giving it 5 stars for ease of use, value, and overall quality.

The Roku Ultra is a great improvement to the Roku Stick we have had for years. The device is ultra fast (pun intended)! As of late December, Roku users can use this device to quickly stream all the favorites. HBO Max recently became available along with Peacock. Overall, the device is much more expensive than the stick but well worth the price tag. We also like the ability to mute the tv from the remote. Highly recommended and comes with an HDMI cable unlike prior models.

Roku Ultra makes streaming content simple. Good library of shows and movies. Some live TV as well. Remote is the best! Headphones work great and voice control I'm still getting use to. Once I upgraded to GIG FIBRE, makes Roku streaming just fly. Interface set-up is so simple, even I could do it! Interfaced directly to my VIZIO TV and sound system within a few minutes. Would totally recommend.

Excellent Roku Player. It has all the great features and ease of use Roku is known for, every single streaming app one could ever want and now also displays Dolby Vision content. Dolby Vision content looks excellent as usual. The roku remote turns the TV on and controls the volume(and mute). Now that Roku supports Dolby Vision there is no reason to buy an Apple Tv or any other streaming device. Highly recommended.

I got the Roku Ultra 2020 to replace a new Firestick 4k device that was having constant streaming issues. My system setup is about 30’ from my main router in a different room and the Firestick just wasn’t cutting it. I had to have extended range to stream better along with Dolby Vision & Atmos to match my 4k receiver and TV and the Ultra 2020 has it all. FYI I originally tried hooking up the ROKU supplied HDMI cable to my 4k receiver along with a second HDMI cable going from my Receivers ARC to TV ARC connection but I wasn’t getting Atmos and no settings changed that. I then used the same ROKU HDMI cable and hooked it up to the TV input instead and along with the same receiver/TV ARC to ARC HDMI connection and my issue was resolved. After a few weeks of use I had a few issues where it would freeze up while streaming or pausing and had to reset it to fix it. Also noticed a few times the vibrant colors reds/oranges would be subdued and I would have to turn it off to get those vibrant colors back again. I replaced the provided premium ROKU HDMI cable with a Zeskit Cinema Plus High Speed 4k cable that I am using for all other HDMI hookups in my system and my ROKU has been absolutely flawless and outstanding ever since. I prefer the ROKU menu, fast speeds and it’s overall ease of use much better than Firestick. My reception range using the Ultra 2020 is a lot better/stronger than before and having Dolby Vision/Atmos to match my system is just amazing so from now on it’s ROKU devices first for us.

I have various streaming devices in my house, including 3 models of Roku and and an Apple TV 4k. The Ultra is my favorite. The best part of the Roku is the remote in general. I absolutely hate the Apple TV remote. I find the greater heft and arrow buttons on the Roku far more ergonomic. The Roku also has a mute button, which my Apple TV remote lacks. The only thing I really wish Roku would add is an "input" button. It's annoying that I need a second remote just to switch the input on my TV. The customizable buttons for additional channel favorites on the remote are appreciated as well. However, I feel like the buttons should be the same size and shape as the other channel buttons on the remote. The headphone jack built into the remote works great. I like it much better than using the Roku phone app and plugging headphones into my phone. I have ethernet throughout my house, so I like that I can hardwire this Roku. It's also great that Rokus now have Apple Airplay, which to me, takes away a main advantage Apple TV has. I paid $79 for my Ultra, which I feel made it a good value.

I already had a previous model of this Roku device. This ones actually a little better. The remote has added a mute button in addition to the TV volume controls. I don't know if this unit has had any updates to it's components, but the picture quality seems to be a little better than the previous units. Also, it operates a little faster than the previous unit. Overall, a good buy!

This is my fourth Roku Ultra in my house. It’s a great streaming device and my family is familiar with the interface which is a must. I like that its constantly updated and simple to use. This one is in a bedroom and being able to attach headphones to the remote lets us watch shows without worrying about disturbing the whole house.

I LOVE IT ! First off, I am a recent "cable cord cutter" and I am happy to NOT have to pay those outrageous prices for cable. I bought the Roku-Ultra with 4K / Dolby Vision because I have a 4K Smart TV. Hooking it up was super easy. Plug the Roku into your electrical outlet, plug the HTMI cord into the Roku and take other end of the cord and plug it into the HTMI port on the back of your TV and BAM, you are done ! After installing, I went ahead and added YouTube TV app and now I have all of my local channels plus a better cable like line up of channels to choose from. I have tons of FREE content that I can choose from just by having this device ! You may ask, "how's the quality of your picture?"...just like I had cable...crystal clear....if you have been thinking about "cutting the cord", just stop what you are doing now and go buy one. You WILL thank me later !

The Roku Ultra 2020 4K Dolby vision streaming media player works great. The remote can control tv volume, including mute capability and tv power. The streaming works well and the Roku helps find the highest tv capability such as 4k or 1080 i. Your tv will need an HDMI input. Remote is easy to use and find appropriate control button needed.

Roku Ultra is a fast-performing steamer with airplay and Dolby vision support. Again Roku remote is a joy to use. Sometimes felt a lag, but not quite sure it is wireless related or not. But most of times, no lag and remote navigation is joy to use.

I love this Roku! In fact I am returning the sound bar I just purchased and getting another one of these. The sound is excellent and the picture fantastic. Plus the huge number of apps that my TV does not provide. Really easy to use and has headphones which is important because I live in an apartment.

Great streaming device. Purchased to replace 2018 version. It feels slightly faster and has more storage for apps but not a major difference overall. It was easy to setup with Apple AirPlay and HomeKit so can control it with iPhone. It is not as good as Apple TV 4K but good enough for price. The old one has been moved to the guest room now.

Works great. It’s very smooth and easy to use. Setup was fast. I highly recommend it for anyone whose TV is Dolby Vision and Atmos capable. Some streaming apps are better from your tv directly (Netflix and Disney+) from my experience but all others on the Roku. I got this unit on sale for 70 so I’m extremely happy.

Super easy to set up. Everything you need comes in the box. I love the lost remote feature and with little ones, it is necessary! I also love the headphones. They are not necessarily but a great feature to have when I'm trying to watch TV and not wake others up. Or if I want to watch something that doesn't have G rated audio. :)

Gift for mom, she loves it and allowed her to get rid of the cables box from spectrum and package plan she was paying un-godly amounts for, her bill went from $300.00 a month, to 125.00. for fast internet and a streaming package from spectrum, but the Roku does a lot more and she watches other streaming platforms.

First off let me say I've used Roku product's for years and love the easy setup and reliability. This 2020 Roku Ultra is great, the remote that operates your TV's on/off, volume and mute is great feature. I especially love the the earbud input on the remote for late night viewing. I highly recommend.
