I had the Roku 3 and had been waiting for a new Roku with significant improvements. This is far and away a major improvement from the Roku 3. I do not have a 4k TV, but the image quality is greatly improved. Yes this does work with a 1080p TV. It is on par with my AppleTV 4th gen. The new Roku was very easy to install. It kept my channels. It figured out my TV remote settings with a few tries. I no longer need the Sidekick device for TV on/off and volume. Even without a 4k TV, I highly recommend this Roku. It's one of those "why didn't I do this sooner?" things.

Comparing it to the smaller ones the speed is a lot better , comparing it to its competitors it’s alot better in my opinion. great devise .. I have 4 tvs in my house and I have a devise for each

Runs super fast with no lag. Easy to setup, just takes some time to get signed into all of the apps. This is my favorite streaming player, even more so than Appletv, especially for the price. Got it on Black Friday week for a great price. You do have to add a payment method but can delete it right after the setup. Roku is free unless you purchase extra content or subscribe to pay channels. The Roku itself does seem to be a bit flimsy compared to the older models but not fragile. I hooked it up and put it on the shelf and will probably not move it again for a very long time so it doesn’t exactly need to stand up to a sledgehammer. I haven’t tried it on my main 4K tv yet but it looks great on the HD tv I hooked it up to.

We own several Roku boxes and TV’s. For the boxes, this Ultra version is the best value. It handles most all the latest sound and picture enhancement formats. The headphone jack in the remote is a nice touch. But for our TV’s that don’t have Bluetooth I sometimes just route through the Roku phone app and listen on my AirPods. As for the user interface in general, while not as powerful as WebOS, it’s still more intuitive and easy to use. The true measure was when my wife started to use this new Roku even before I showed her how. She complained that the WebOS TV was too hard to figure out. Happy wife, happy life!

I am impressed with this streaming player - it is very fast. My previous Roku devices were the Roku 1 and Roku 2, so it isn't too hard to beat those for performance, but there is very little lag time with the Roku Ultra when accessing apps. I just put a new Tivo Edge into service, which accesses apps seamlessly, but Tivo doesn't support HBO Max and some other apps (although the Tivo streaming device does), so we added the Roku Ultra to access those other apps. Set up was slick, and the device has worked great for over a month now without needing to reboot, etc. The fish tank screensaver is in 4K, so the video is stunning when accessed on my 4K. I'm happy with the purchase.

Wow this Roku 4K Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos is the best streaming player so far. Outstanding picture on my LG C9 65”tv and excellent sound from my Pioneer receiver. It was easy to setup.

I always thought Roku = gimmicky and poor quality because of the low price. However, I am very impressed with the speed that it loads streaming services because we jump between a bunch of them all the time. From turning on the tv to getting to the main page of, say, Netflix, takes about 30 seconds. And to change to hulu from netflix, less than 30 seconds. The voice input for the remote works pretty well also and its a cool touch that you can listen silently with wired headphones that come with the roku that plug into the remote. 100% worth buying and so much better than laggy and crappy smart tv software

I upgraded from a Roku 2. Apps load faster. Streams start faster. The voice search is helpful as it searches for movies across all the services and presents you the choices. I also like the remote control having a headphone jack for private listening and the remote finder. This model is the only one that uses a wire so I had to go with this as I prefer to use a wire. I don't have a 4k tv yet so that will be for the future when I finally get a new TV. Overall a solid streaming box. I got it on sale for 70$.

Very fast and noticeable improvement compared to the "premiere" model, grants this "ultra" model is priced at a higher price tag. But well worth it in my opinion because you can always find this model on sale hovering around "$80.00". Has a lot off different Roku channels available and it is a nice piece of hardware to "cut the cord". Has all the main stream, streaming services like NetFlix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, YouTubeTV, Disney+, HBO, etc. Save yourself from paying monthly leasing cable hardware and you should consider buying this Roku. They're are many other types, but this has to be the best money per value I have found, good luck with your search for "cutting the cord!"

Quick, simple interface with good remote and headphone jack. It has all the features I need for streaming 4K HDR. It controls both my TV and my Receiver so I don't need 3+ controllers to watch TV.

Love Roku devices. I really wanted this one because it has a wired connection for internet which really helps with the lagging with wifi. Works great!

This bad boy BLOWS away the previous, older, Roku that I own. This this is super snappy and outputs 4k beautifully. LOVE the remote having a headphone jack! 10/10

It's great as a Roku (much snappier than the standard version we replaced with this model). The 2 things we love even more than that are the built-in AirPlay so we can quickly stream or screen share from any of our IOS devices and the headphone connectivity with the remote. When one of us is wanting to stay up late watching something, just plugging in the headphones right there on the remote is very handy to let others nearby go to sleep in silence. Invest in some rechargeable AA batteries if you use this feature very much, though, because it does increase the drain on them significantly. It really is the best Roku device we've come across!

I have 4 of these....4k and dolby vision built in...easy to maneuver...opted to direct connection to the ethernet...one of my best buys...

I have put this in my bedroom and it works great. The interface is nice. Its only a one-time investment compared to others.

Easy setup, simple remote, works great. Saved me from having to go buy a new/updated TV after Samsung ended smartTV app updates for my current set (circa 2014).

Super easy to install and use; intuitive interface; great price. Saved us having to purchase a new tv to get upgraded streaming capabilities.

The player was easy to setup and easily connected to my wireless network. I really like the menu and it is very intuitive on how to move around inside apps on my TV. The earphones plugin to the remote makes it very nice to listen to shows without bothering anyone else and drowns out any distractions. It was worth the price I paid to get rid of my cable receiver and start streaming my TV programs.

I've been a Roku client for a long time and like the GUI particularly with the huge number of streaming channels. A year ago I bought a Samsun television with picture quality however the SmartCast operating system it runs on has a lot to be wanted. Indeed, the previous morning I replaced my old roku stick and I at last chose I had enough and bought the Roku Ultra. So happy I did, I'm back to what in particular I'm utilized to and like. The Roku operating system is extremely responsive. I can see the contrast between customary HDR versus Dobly Vision... It's wonderful!!!
