Roxanne, starring Steve Martin, Shelley Duvall, and Daryl Hannah. The movie is set in Colorado I believe where Steve Martin is a volunteer fireman chief surrounded by a bunch of knitwits and dummies. Shelley Duvall is his good friend who rents an apartment to Daryl Hannah who's in astronomy student. This movie is classic Steve Martin from beginning to end personally I love the bar scene but they did mess it up a little bit. When the guy throws the dart on 20...3 times. Steve Martin has to come up with 20 things better than big nose. If you count he does more than 20 lines better than big nose it is classic it's a great movie from beginning to end if you love Steve Martin it is a movie to have five stars all the way.

This is one of those films you just have to add to the collection.

I recommend this movie and have watched it more than once. Steve Martin is perfect in the lead role. The Story Roxanne dreamed of a handsome, intelligent, romantic man. C.D. Bales "Steve Martin” is an intelligent, romantic man with a huge nose, but looks aren't everything! He falls in love with her but keeps his feelings a secret. Chris a handsome but limited cultured fireman convinces C.D. to writing letters to Roxanne. C.D. uses the letters to disclose his feelings for Roxanne.

This is one of Steve Martin's funniest movies. And he's had quite a few great movies. The main character is a man in a small tourist town trying to run the town fire station with mostly volunteer firemen. Oh, by the way, Steve Martin has a 3 inch nose protruding from his face. The makeup is well done. Daryl Hannah plays the girl Steve falls madly in love with, but doesn't nose how to tell her.

Roxanne is a great movie to watch on a date or just to relax next to a warm fire. It has comedy, some drama, more comedy, sympathy, and jaw dropping scenes that make you want to say "What? But, why?" before causing even more laughs. Roxanne is meant to be enjoyed and watched over and over again.

You don't have to put on your red light, but you do need to pick up this warm-hearted, delightful comedy with one of Steve Martin's most memorable performances. The VHS-inspired slipcover is fun, the Blu-ray audio/ video is decent.

Steve Martin is at his best in this early movie at the start of movie making. The one liners about his nose and the way he makes you feel about your own short commings
