The last one I had, before it died after less than 6 months, made so much noise, before it would jam, that one of my neighbors came over because he thought it was gunfire. But this unit is awesome and is very quiet and what it shreds takes up so much less room in the basket and you can't read anything that's been shredded, unlike the last one. I'm very very happy with it and highly recommend it.

Granted, I have not inserted 8 sheets at one time, but this one works for me. Thank you.

I would love to use it more, but it has been jammed for some time. I may have tried to shred too many items at once (2 mailers with plastic cards inside). I'm unsure if it's not working due to my mistake or the item was poorly made. For that reason, I'll still give it a decent review. I do need to have someone fix it though.
