useless after 4 months
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this to record narrations for videos. The first few uses sounded great, but it was a bit hit or miss in connecting despite trying multiple cables. Four months later, it's absolutely useless. My PC only sometimes recognizes the mic, but it either records no sound, a crazy loud static buzz, or turns my voice into a dalek impression. I've tried multiple computers, cords, and recording programs. It's basically a $135 paperweight. My brother works in sound engineering, and when I asked him for advice his response was: "oh yeah, Samson's are terrible". He recommended I go for the Yeti instead.

Against the heat of the day.
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Unfortunately wherever you place this in your car to hold your phone the heat melts the glue that is suppose to hold in place. It lasted about 2 weeks and it just stopped sticking and the hand mechanism give out from all the placing of your cellphone and removal of your cellphone. Unless you're going to place a sunshade to prevent it from peeling off it's a waste of money and although the price was comparable it just didn't do it's work or what it's made for.

Best mic for the money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There’s nothing I don’t like about this mic. Everyone I talk to online said my voice sounds much clearer and crisper. If you’re thinking about this mic or a yeti, 100% go with this one!

Awesome sound, but design is flawed w
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Looked at a ton of reviews and picked this mic. Worked great for about a week, and I was genuinely impressed with how much it improved outgoing sound on video calls (Zoom and MS Teams). After about a week of use, I started getting complaints about my sound being static-filled....turns out there is what I think is a design flaw - the bottom of the mic where the outgoing cord plugs in does not allow for much "play" with the cord because the plug is so long.....when the mic is turned in its swivel, is "stresses" out the connection. Called manufacturer and they said "yeah, that's a problem we have". Returned it.

DIDN'T WORK RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. To be fair it could have been user error. Nevertheless, right out the gate ppl complain about a delay. I thought it was probably a USB issue. Therefore, rather than work on the issue I returned it.

Windows 10 Computer Did Not Two Of These Mics
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought and tried two of these yesterday - neither were recognized at all by my computer. Nothing in Device Manager at all, not even even Unknown/Unrecognized Device. Total paperweights. Checked on the Internet, appears to be defective USB cables that were shipped with the mics. People are using their own cables and then Windows instantly recognizes the mics. Not gonna do that, I returned both mics and got a Yeticaster. Yeti is not quite as good a mic, but it's quality control is much better and the Yeticaster was a great value at $170.99.

$130 Brick
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It was between this mic and a Blue Yeti and I chose this one after reading/watching reviews online. I thought it had a better sound and picked up bass in the voice better than the Blue Yeti. When it finally came in (ordered online), I opened and the box looked like it had been previously opened and everything was in the box loose, wrapped in bubble tape. I have the sneaking suspicion this was an open box item, likely return by some other poor schmuck that bought it. The USB A to B cable it came with has a thin wire and does not connect flush and securely to the mic- an obvious design flaw. When I plugged the mic in (supposedly plug and play ready), the mic's green light would come on indicating it was powered but my brand new MSI laptop could not recognize it at all. I tried every USB port, updated drivers. I tried it on another Windows laptop and my friend's Mac, all with 4 different USB A to B cables and it simply would not work. I looked online and found that this is a common problem with the device and no one had any solution, other than to try different USB A to B cable which did not work for me. I contacted Samson's customer service and never received a response! I was super disappointed and was willing to give Samson a try until I realized their customer service sucks and I was never going to get anywhere with this Mic so I returned it back to Best Buy and picked up a Blue Yeti which works perfectly! Buyer beware!
