Not compatible with all components like it says. I had to return it for a refund. I was very disappointed with this product. You get free software but have to pay an ungodly amount in order to use this software, that's aside from what the microphone cost. This was a total waste of time and money.

Makes my voice really deep and for some reason can’t change it. Get a yeti!

BestBuy sold this to me when it wasn’t in stock, and I only found this out after calling them after a week (the package was suppose to be delivered in three days) . Beware before purchasing here.

The volume started shorting out after the 3 rd use. I bought it Oct 2020, and its Jan2020... Best Buy website says no longer returnable.. what do I do now?

the plug outlet from microphone thread is broken in less then a year of delicate use. Need to return or exchange.

I took back got a different one. Wasn’t for me, the sound and quality isn’t what I had hoped for.

My background: Audiophile since my teen years in the 1970s, professional broadcaster since 1978. I've spent many years talking on and listening to mics. I'll be the first to admit that my hearing's high end isn't what it used to be, but I can still recognize that this mic provides excellent sound quality and is a great value. I produce a weekly podcast of sorts, and I've been using a voice booth at the TV station where I work to do the raw recording, then take the file home for editing. That's rather inconvenient, so I got to thinking that I should buy a USB mic to use at home. The reason I picked this model is because it is available for local pickup, was on sale at $129, it has a headphone output, and it looks nice. Now that I've brought it home, I can add to the list that it has great build quality, and excellent sound. I'm sure that true audiophiles could pick at real or imagined flaws all day long, but for basic, clean vocal recording into a PC, it does an impressive job at a low price. I recorded several voice samples at home, and compared them to some recordings from the TV station voiceover booth. Although there is a slightly different coloration in the frequency response, the Samson G-Track Pro compares quite favorably. In fact, if I were not doing A-B tests, and you just walked up to me one day and presented me with a recording without telling me which mic it was from, I probably could not reliably identify the source. Clean, wide-range sound, reasonably low preamp noise, and surprisingly good shock isolation. The built-in headphone amp sounds very good and can drive low-impedance headphones to a very loud level. I didn't test the instrument input. I am confident that for any home, or even some professional voice recording scenarios, this mic will do an excellent job at a very attractive price point. I wish they had stuff like this at this price when I was cutting my audio teeth over 40 years ago!

did not work took it to best buy they could not get it to work

Been using this microphone for 7 years or something like that. I just bought a replacement one because my old one got damaged in a move but it has never failed me, it's high quality audio and I play 4 instruments that I can plug into the microphone so it's nice. It is just a high quality product and it is relatively cheap, the metal construction is heavy and solid and I love it. I plan on using this microphone for as long as I can, I am sure they will stop manufacturing it at some point but until something better comes along I will stick with this one.

One of the best pieces of hardware I have ever purchased. Fidelity is great for music, on par with XLR Microphones and for dictations, the polarity settings make using Dragon almost flawless. Its noise canceling features are also exemplary. Would definitely buy again. Well made.

I'm a recording artist named J-LEE and this mic has EVERYTHING a beginner needs and more!! It stepped my quality up to where it needs to be at. Professional audio quality for sure along wit the monitor is flawless 0 latency at all. I would recommend this to anyone at any level 10/10 the only flaw is whenever I bought mine it was only 50$ for some reason in mt. Juliet TN best buy. Lol no wonder I couldn't believe it

This is a great mic for streaming, podcasts, youtube, etc. Definitely a step up from my headphone mic. The knobs do feel a bit flimsy, but i don't think its too much of an issue once you have it dialed in how you like. My one problem is that the mic does not function with the supplied USB cable. While it will receive power (lights and buttons work), Windows 10 will not recognize it. Luckily I had some extra USB-B cables lying around that DO work.

After carefully researching all the pros and cons of going with USB microphones (even deciding whether or not to go with the Blue Yeti) the Samson G-Track Pro came out on top for me due to its sleek design and sturdy studio look. I have heard 100% positive reviews on its sound quality and clarity and I'd have to agree that it sounds crisp and clear, HOWEVER Setting this up, the drivers refused to automatically install. If you search for any of Samson's drivers online you'll come up empty handed. No install disc included and after hours of combing forums the problem occurred because of the faulty cable shipped along with it! The workaround solution for me and several others was to sacrifice a printer cable for the time being to get it to work properly. I really wanted to give this product a 5/5, but for $129.99 I think this oversight should have been prevented. Hope I saved anyone reading this a few hours of troubleshooting!

If your a gamer and looking for a good mic i would reccomend this. I bought the arm and the shock mount to go with it. All the items samson makes are high quality. Definitely the best mic best buy gas to offer.
