I bought this for my Shure microphone thinking it would work. Well, it doesn't. That's not Samson's fault, it's mine. This is a nice quality stand with a weighted base. But I knocked off one star because I think it should have some kind of adapter for microphones (like mine) that have a male type connector

I have to hold the whole stand in my hand because my deep voice creates revert through the table on my Shure microphone. Luckily it’s small enough. Overall it’s a great mic stand that just doesn’t work well when dealing with reverb. Shock mount recommended.

This is a really sturdy mic stand. My daughter is using it to hold a Shure SM57 using a normal mic clip (which isn't included). The weight of the mic doesn't cause the stand to tip or become unstable at all. Very nice stand over all.

We have a shelf in front of our baptistry and this stand fit perfectly to offer a microphone to amplify the wonderful stories of grace.

It was not heavy/stable enough to support my Rode NT1 microphone and shockmount w/pop filter....to compensate I must use something heavier to pull my XLR back to prevent it from tipping over. Otherwise nice stand.
