Customers admire the 15.6" Chromebook's ease of use, large screen size, and good value for its price. Positive feedback also highlights its performance and battery life, along with its lightweight design. Some users mentioned challenges adapting to the operating system and limitations with the amount of RAM and software compatibility. However, the positive aspects appear to outweigh the negative for most customers.

I am in love! Just bought the HP 8GB yesterday and returned it today due to slowness and issues. I got this instead.. Im a huge Samsung fan and I always have to add Chrome to all my laptops and decided to try Samsung Chrome. I am so glad i did. It is fast and not all the extra junk programs that come in the traditional Windows laptops. Plus I dont have to use storage to add it in. I can do my business plus personal on here! You will love this if you get it.

I have been using my Samsung Chromebook for a few weeks now and have no complaints. I love that the battery has a long life (more than 10 hours) and that It does not overheat at all! It is also quiet. I am able to use many apps (including Microsoft Word) for schoolwork and can see myself using this Chromebook to help me run an at-home freelance writing business. Having access to Word and Google Docs is a plus.

Surprisingly, this has been one of the best computers, let alone, chromebook that I have ever used. I love the 15.6” screen size and I love the keyboard on this chromebook as well. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a good laptop without the need for extra power for editing and/or gameplay.

When I first got it, everything was great, worked fine. The hinges eventually started to crack and made it hard to open and close the Chromebook. I just never close it now. Parts of the screen is not does not work correctly. The Past 2 or 3 HP products have had hinge issues. The next pirchase I think I going to try a different brand!!

This chromebook did what my other computer was unable to do. I was able to play youtube videos. The other computer lagged and kept cutting me off. I really enjoy my chromebook.

This is my first Chromebook. I am just wowed by the quickness and efficiency of this operating system and the elegant and substantial feel of the computer physically. This purchase was a very good value. It may not be a 2000 dollar gaming machine... But this is just what I needed for everyday general purpose use. I think it is much better than Windows or Mac OS if you are just using it for general purpose because this Chromebook packs a better bang for your buck when it comes to everyday performance for less money.

I have a Mac Book Pro that was collecting dust so I gave it to my daughter. I needed a laptop that I could do my income tax, create documents that were easily shareable, developing power point slides and streaming. For anyone who says "It's just a Chromebook", get this. You will be pleased at the size, sleek look, Bluetooth capability and ease of use. The key board is actually better than my Mac Book Pro. As for the screen, it isn't as brilliant but does the job. The speakers are not loud at all so I used Bluetooth speakers with it and I'm totally satisfied.
Pros: Great key board, large screen, light weight, sleek platinum titanium look, ultra fast booting up, long battery life, great for everyday tasks for school or work, does NOT get hot when plugged in....not even the charger, I can save my iPhone music and Pics on this!
Cons: Minimal sweet spot (when pulling the screen at the upward or downward position the screen is not clear at certain angles) but I just angle the screen for my sweet spot. Speakers sound low even at it's highest level but easily fixed with a Bluetooth speaker.

Great buy. Fast and simple to use. Chrome OS is perfect for browsing, email, and even word processing, etc. Well made and the screen is clear and sharp. Battery life is excellent. Overall, a solid laptop with no real downsides.

I really liked this. However I had to return it. Here is why (I should have known better I admit)
It's a fast and sleek computer with a nice size screen. The screen is great for presenting stuff like slides etc., but falls a bit short with regard to video streaming (zoom looked grainy). That was okay, I can live with lower quality screen (even when setting was set to HD) but what the dealbreaker turned out to be was that Zoom has not configured their software to allow remote mouse control with Chrome OS. This happens to be crucial for what I am using the computer to do, so I had to return it and get a more expensive Windows Home computer. Had zoom included the functionality that I wanted with Chrome OS, I would have kept this computer even though the screen resolution for teleconferencing was relatively poor. On the plus side it is fast, it was reliable, and I like the stripped down operating system that allows it to turn on very quickly. It was easy to use. Basically did all I wanted except the most important thing, which was why I took it back.

I've been a long time fan of Chrome OS and it has aged very well over the past few years. After moving to a desktop, I wanted to pick up a Chromebook to still stay mobile when needed. I picked up this Samsung Chromebook 4+ and there's a lot to like here.
The fit and finish are pretty solid. The overall looks are very well thought out and it feels well made, even if most parts of the laptop are plastic. Battery life is outstanding and the keyboard is responsive and spacious. Having 128GB of space is great as well. Even with a lesser Celeron processor and 4GB of RAM, it's able to handle most of my daily tasks with no major problems. The main complaint here is the screen, which is a FHD panel. While it is FHD, the viewing angles are VERY touchy and the screen itself is not overly bright or colorful. However, I do find it tolerable for use especially given the price point when I purchased it on sale. I might have more gripes about it if this machine were my only computer or I used it all day everyday but for now, it's not a deal breaker.
Overall, this is a well thought-out package at a very approachable price point.

I actually bought another laptop first (a Windows) and was VERY disappointed. I bought two of these, one for each kid, hoping they would be better for use by my 4- and 5-year-olds for digital learning and I was pleasantly surprised. I have never used a Chromebook before this, so there was a learning curve but after a day or two, I felt like a pro! This laptop is VERY compatible with Google Family (another learning curve, but it is perfect once everything is set up. They also have great customer service!). This laptop is locked down like Fort Knox and I have no worries about my girls getting into something they shouldn't. They have access to the internet, but Google Family puts a filter on there. So far, I have been able to get them everything they need and want in apps so I don't even have to worry about an internet page slipping through the filters. Google Family also limits the Play Store so you can only see kid-appropriate apps and when they go to download something, they have to get mom or dad to give a password or approve a notification on your phone. They have TONS of games (including Candy Crush for my 5 year old), Youtube Kids, and learning Apps like ABC Mouse. You can limit screen time for certain apps, but I monitor their use pretty closely since their desks are in my office. These are absolutely essential to successful distance learning and homeschool Pre-K program. No problems with speed or display either. I would easily buy one of these for myself if I needed it.
An additional plus: about a week after exchanging the Windows laptops for these in-store, the price dropped by $50 online. I opened a chat and the representative gave me a price match refund for both of them back to my original payment form with no problems.

I got this at a great price open box and am reasonably satisfied.
The Good
- solid keyboard and touchpad
- good aesthetics
- lightweight for size (3.7lbs)
- FHD display.
- USB-C charging ports on both sides
- Decent speakers
- Acceptable performance
The Not So Good
- Dim screen with dull colors
- 4GB ram is on the low side - you will notice if you multitask or have more that 5-10 tabs open.
- Performance is ok but will lag at times
Overall the screen is definitely the weak point, with the performance being tolerable but acceptable for basic surfing, productivity, and light gaming tasks. I was able to install Linux and a few older games via steam which it handled ok. The overall look and feel are solid if you can accept the screen, which is very dim and washed-out. It’s going to be a deal-breaker for some, the Lenovo C340 is a much better package when on sale with its superior IPS screen and i3 processor, but the Samsung gets the job done.

I purchased last summer. Very easy to use. Nice size. Battery life is good. I'm use to a desktop so I had to get use to the keyboard. I wanted to add a separate number pad when working at my desk but there is only one port and I use it for my wireless mouse. For me I don't like using the pad. I know you can add a docking station for more ports, but it's not that important to me.

A littel slow here and there but expected for a Celeron. Great for basic browsing and Google Docs. I don't like that a LOT ofAndroid apps have to run in Linux box and are not actually native.

I have had many lap tops in the past, but this one for its screen size, ease of usage, just seemed to make this product a win win combination. The delivery to my house was very fast and on time, making it more of convenience during the period and times that we are now facing. Thank you Best Buy and Samsung for your support and help making this product a real asset.
