Purchased this fridge 3 years ago. Spent a decent dollar on it and it is not intended for a family of seven. Really hard to get to foods because its so narrow. Ice machine lags. Food in the drawers does not stay fresh very long unless you have the temperature really cold which is contraindicated if your trying to save money on energy. I was spoiled with a Whirlpool prior to this one and I regret this purchase. The bottom drawer failed under the first year. It was a headache dealing with the manufacturers to get a replacement under warranty. Keep sending us the wrong parts. We gave up after about the second wrong replacement part. I was really looking forward to having matching Samsung appliances as I also have the microwave in the same color and style. My third purchase would have been the Samsung dishwasher.

One of the refrigerator doors shelves was scratch like it was scraped on concrete. Plastic was left under rubber! Too bad I wasn’t there for the delivery, had to arrange for someone else to be present due to 4hr delivery windows!

I read a lot of reviews complaining about the icemaker. I just had this installed yesterday and in a separate cup, it made ice within hours. I still can't get it to make ice in the icemaker, though. The water runs fine. I did an instant chat with someone overseas this morning, who basically was reading the same manual as I was. Online, I found a reset button (which I hadn't seen in the manual) and tried that. I find the bottom of the icemaker hard to put back on, which you seem to have to do to get to the reset button. Looks like I might already have to have repair come out to check the water valve to the unit. disappointed in that. Also, be aware, that the words on the side of the display panel: Energy Saver, Freezer, Frig and Lighting, don't light up! See picture below. You need a light on and be right in front of the panel to see what they are. The support person today told me they're not supposed to light up. A miss on the part of Samsung. When measuring for delivery, do be aware you can rely on the dimension of the depth without the handles since those are put on in the house. They also have the capability to take off the doors of the frig if needed. Just some tips that would've been helpful in making my selection. Otherwise, it cooled quickly, the lighting is great in both the frig and freezer, and I like that it has the third drawer that I use for meat and cheese, that a lot of units seemed to have done away with.

I've had this fridge for about a month now and I have to say, I like it. Our fridge placement is in the middle of cabinetry, and not against a wall, which makes this thing look huge! It's average size we've learned after looking at specs for other fridges online. The stainless steel looks great, but with small kids it is always covered in hand prints. It's a little noisy, being surrounded by hardwood, but that may be due to our new floor plan as well. The ice maker is always full and I really like how the water dispenser is grey and rounded at the corners (this should make cleaning and hard water spots minimal). This is only our second new fridge (an LG we loved was our first) and I hope it lasts forever! Time will tell.

Beautiful stainless styling, LARGE freezer and a roomy, functional refrigerator! The sturdy glass shelving, large movable door bins and the great lighting really sold us on this model. Ice & water through the door without taking up a lot a freezer space is great. It's also much easier to dial in the perfect temperatures for both fridge & freezer.

Delivery was terrible.tore up my walls.a month later still no fix.

My husband & I are seniors and we are very happy with this purchase. Well lit inside and easy to clean. Easy to reach items. Lot of door space and drawers. Love the icemaker in the door, more freezer space.

It worked well since i got it few week ago. I like the side by side door, ice maker on the door so i had extra storage in the freezer. Very spacious and see through...Just wish the drawers and shell more study since it feel like it is easy to break. Overall, it is good with the price and the black stainless looks very impress!

First off, I have only had this a month and I gave it 5 stars as u have been impressed. After reading many reviews online for this side by side Refridgerator I was a bit skeptical as many people mentioned that they had issues with the ice machine, therefore, I did buy the 5 year protection plan for 149.00 from best buys geek squad. Also, keep in mind that I have only had he fridge for a month, but everything is working wonderfully and the ice machine and water dispenser in the door is one of the biggest selling points for me as it is in the door and does not take up space in the freezer area. I am very impressed with the size as it is the same as I had before in my side by side but the ice machine was on the shelf and took up a lot of space. The negative is that the display does not light up. Many people mentioned this but I did not understand what it meant as there is a light when you are getting ice or water that illuminates into your glass, however the light does not illuminate so you can see what buttons you are selecting. There is a digital display however there is no light that turns on to show you if you are adjust the fridge temp, freezer temp, energy saver or the lighting button. Other than that I have been very impressed, however it is only a month old. Oh yeah, it seems to scratch easily. But for the price it was a fantastic deal. When it was delivered there was a dent in the front panel but nothing that could not be covered by a magnet and we received an extra 10% off. Great fridge at a great price. The Best Buy delivery guy was great.

Looks good in my home and has decent features. I like that the ice storage is on the door freeing up extra space in the freezer. I bought a pretty basic model so not much else to say except it does run quietly.. keeps up with our ice demands .. water tastes good due to built in filter.. there are 3 drawers which we do use very easy to regulate humidity. I bought this to replace my old white side by side.. I had held off bc I wasn't to keen on the stainless steel .. I have children that would leave plenty of fingerprints so clean up would be a nightmare. I do not have that issue with the black stainless finish. I will say it is very nice looking BUT it is very delicate ..seems to scratch easily. I had my item delivered and there were scratches on the doors. Best buy apologize and sent a new one asap. That one had scratches. Both times units were taken straight out of box. Best buy has been amazing about all of this . I now have a scratch free unit in my home.. I just wanted to warn bc the finish is fragile and can not be repaired only replaced so keep that in mind when considering.

Been a great side by side. It can be just a little noisy at times, but works as advertised. Especially like the ice maker being in the door. This allows much more room in the freezer.

Very spacious, very Classic but w/ updated features like LED lighting. The Water/Ice Dispenser is simple to use and change settings(some i've seen, you need a manual). My wife loves it, kids thinks it's cool and contemporary

I like my new Samsung refrigerator. It has more space, better lighting, and seems to cool more efficiently. The only negative is it is a bit noiser than the old one.

The design on this Fruge is awesome. I've maker on door saves room in freezer. There's just so much room!

I did do research on many refrigerators before we made the decision to purchase this Samsung model. We are now three weeks in to the purchase and so far so good. Some of the reviews I have read are very scary. We have almost returned this unit a couple of times. The ice maker is in the door, and one of the things I do not like is that it is very noisy. I noticed that there were other people who had the same complaint about this unit. There were people who were kicking themselves for purchasing Samsung and wished they had their money back and had purchased something different. There are also many horror stories about customer service when there is an issue. Then you turn the page, and you will see people who will not ever buy anything but a Samsung again. So, it basically is a chance you have to take with this particular brand. That is all I can say at this point. After looking at other makes, such as Whirlpool, General Electric, Frigidaire, I saw that people had particular issues with these models also. So, again, it is a draw as to which one is going to be the best in the long run. One of the things that we found to be rather humorous, was with one of the installers that set this refrigerator up for us. When they were through with the installation, my husband asked why the refrigerator door was higher than the freezer door. The response from the installer was, "oh, not a problem. When you start putting items on the shelves in the door, it will lower the door to the right level!!!!!!!" My husband and I about fell over. This guy must have thought we were pretty gullible and/or major stupid. We just said okay, and let it go. We were going to call the service department and fill them in on this conversation. The next day, however, someone from Best Buy called to see how the installation went. We gave them the necessary information they requested and then my husband proceeded to tell the person he was speaking with, the story about how the installer said that the door would level itself once we added items to the shelves in the door. From what my husband said, it sounded like the man on the other end of the conversation probably fell off of his chair. He informed my husband that this is absolutely not the truth, and assured us that someone would be out to level the door for us as it should be. On the other side of the coin, other than that, the installation went smoothly and both of the installers did a great job and were very thorough and handled the removal of our old refrigerator and the installation of the new refrigerator very carefully and professionally. We still have mixed feelings about this purchase. We don't know what each day might bring us with the Samsung brand. We are hoping that we are one of the lucky ones, that does not have major issues, but deep down we feel that we might also be looking for another refrigerator within the next two to three years. Hopefully not. I am going to say that I would recommend Samsung to a friend, but I hope I am not making a mistake. If things go south on this unit with us, I will definitely be back to vent my concerns and problems with everyone.

This Samsung is so easy to load and makes items so evident with no rummaging around, I am in love. The water and ice dispenser is fabulous! Roomy, cool, easy-to-operate, and an energy saver too. How good is that?It [let's name him, Sam] makes noise occasionally, but nothing like the predecessor that lacked all Sam's advantages.. Now I can even give birds and feral cats cold water easily. This is a dream come true.

Since we got this Samsung Refrigerator we knew it is the right one the space the ability to adjust the temperature the shelves the lights water and ice the look all together perfect, the price is reasonable.

The title was a comment a friend made when he saw my fridge, and thinking back on it I must concur. I think I have officially graduated from a child-like adult to a full fledged grown up now that I own this gem of a fridge. It looks great, it works great, and I have nothing negative to say about this appliance. It's exactly what I was looking for for, an aestically pleasing refrigerator with digital climate control, ice maker, and plenty of space for a single guy. A big family may need a larger fridge, but it works well for me.

A little research paid off! This refrigerator is quiet, maintains even temperature, spacious, and the drawers are easy to slide in and out. The ice maker and water work beautifully. We are delighted with our purchase.
