It's been a long time since I went monitor shopping. Over the past several years, I've exclusively purchased and used laptops. When it was time to start researching PC monitors, to say I was overwhelmed would be a massive understatement. Seriously, why are there so many types of monitors? I quickly discovered there were two primary monitor types: IPS and TN panels. IPS provided a superior image while TN had faster response times which are ideal for gamers. Honestly, I wanted something somewhere in the middle. I needed something that looked nice, from all viewing angles, but also would be sufficient for gaming. Every day I decided on a different monitor and it was becoming a massive headache. A poster on a monitor forum suggested I check out this Samsung curved monitor. I had come across it several times, but never really gave it a look. Upon researching it, I discovered it was neither an IPS or TN panel, but a VA panel. Interesting. VA panels offer image quality and viewing angles that rivals IPS as well as response times and refresh rates on par with TN. Could this be the "Goldilocks" of monitors? I continued my research and read several reviews. Some were critical of minor issues, but they seemed like massive exaggerations. Finally, I made the decision to go ahead and purchase this Samsung gaming monitor. After receiving it and setting it up, let me just say that I'm still in awe of this beast. It's absolutely gorgeous! Not only that, but it's a an amazing gaming monitor (both for PC games and console!). It offers 1 display port and 2 HDMI ports, so you can easily hook it up to your PC and two game consoles (or other multimedia devices). My only two complaints about this monitor are the bulky stand which takes up way more room than it should and the lack of internal speakers. Of course, neither are deal breakers since the monitor is VESA compatible and internal speakers are usually low quality anyway. I picked up an inexpensive set of speakers and they pair nicely with this monitor (I hooked them into the 3.5mm headphone that on the monitor so they work with my game consoles as well as PC audio). If you're looking for a high quality monitor that offers an amazing display that works great for fast paced gaming (144Hz or bust!), look no further than this Samsung curved gaming monitor!

Zero dead pixels, good colors out of the box, and super fast refresh rate. The curve didn't affect my gaming with FPS at all. Worth.

It is an awesome gaming monitor. 144hz 1080p for under $300? Oh heck yeah! Watching movies and playing games is incredible. Bought it for the wife, so I'm just a peasant watching the queen enjoy nice things ;)

this monitor met my needs in terms of having a good gaming experience. i really like the curve as well as the display it gives.

Bought it for the colors and it also came with 1ms response time and 144hz. It is only 1080p.

QDOT monitor is great only drawback with this baby is no 4k.

This Samsung LED Monitor is great for gaming. It's just the right size for my desk.

Only downside is it is for AMD monitors only. Not for GSYNC.

nice graphics/speed for this moderate gamer but no sound unless headset plugged in. Curve effect nice touch too.

Best Gaming Monitor I have ever owned. Not only is the screen size perfect, but the curved design makes it to where you don't have to your neck physically side to side to scan for enemies. You just use your eyes there creating no blind spots.
