I did NOT want the ice/water in the door, from my experience that's the first thing to break. I've never had an issue on it. Only thing is maybe a chime on the freezer door.. something got wedged under it once so it was cracked open for a long time in the summer and got major frost. had to unplug for a while and thaw it out, lucky it didn't burn anything up. Still works great.

very noisy, temperature setpoints are useless

The noises are driving me nuts. The temp setpoints don't mean anything. I have the freezer set at + 3 F and the freezer is actually -21 F. The refrig is set at 36 F and is actually 30 F. The only positive is the inside layout of the refrigerator is nice. Easy to find things. Overall, a big disappointment. I wish I had kept my 17 year old bargain basement 18 cu ft Whirlpool, or spent a couple hundred more for an LG or Kitchenaid.

Seems like a waste of money. This is an amazing fridge at a reasonable price. I’ve had no issues with it over the year and a half. We don’t use the ice hookup but it’s pretty straight forward and can be easily added by a homeowner or landlord.
