Purchased this model as a replacement for the previous model which broke due to freezer sensor being ripped out due to poor placement of the freezer sensor. Very happy with the size and layout of the fridge and I love the middle drawer, as well as the showcase door. That is why I bought the newer model of this refrigerator. However, the ice maker is really small (typical with new refrigerators these days), and the top freezer drawer inside the freezer drawer does not come out all the way which is different from previous model. This makes it really hard to put ice trays in the top drawer if your family makes additional ice. Beware of freezer sensor - it is located on the ceiling of the freezer with a cap that protrudes (it is not flush with the ceiling). If the cap pops off, there is a possibility that the freezer sensor can be ripped from unit if it gets stuck on food. If this happens, the refrigerator can not be repaired. Luckily my previous model was still under warranty and I was able to replace it. As long as you know where the freezer sensor is and what to watch out for, you should be fine.

I would have preferred the larger model but due to space limitations we went with the counter depth refrigerator. For the most part your don't hear the refrigerator running. You get some popping noise when the ice maker is loosening up the cubes and you get a noise when it dumps its load. Love the door in door for items you use frequently although because of the door in door, the door shelves are not adjustable which is limiting. French doors are the way to go. So much better then side by side doors. Love the refrigerator flex drawer and it holds quite a bit for being counter depth. Pleasantly surprised the freezer drawer holds more than I thought it would and I don't have to get down on my hands and knees to find what I'm looking for. I know everyone wants stainless appliances but I bet those that want them have never had them or if they have them they never use them because they are a pain to keep clean! Black stainless is a good compromise. Thought it would make the kitchen dark but with the bright stainless handles it matches the other appliances including the cook top which is black glass and stainless. Having said all that, if you are going from a large refrigerator that is well stocked, to this one, it will definitely be an adjustment. Obviously the shelves are not as deep but on the up side you can see everything inside. You can't store as much stuff as before but that forces you to use up what you have before it expires. If I had some suggestions to make to the company about things to improve on they would be: I wish there was more room and taller spaces on the doors for condiments. I would like the ice bin to be reconfigured to hold more but not take up any more fridge space. I'm only giving this 4 stars because of the storage space on the doors being so limited. That might be nit picking but with the refrigerator depth lessened due to being counter depth, I don't like loosing precious shelf space to a bunch of condiments. Salad dressing bottles don't fit that well because they are tall or biscuits tubes are to fat. Now, if you don't want the door in door feature then the door shelves are adjustable. If you do want the door in door like we did then you compromise you have less and buy shorter skinnier containers. For a smaller family this refrigerator works well and I would recommend. For a bigger family, the larger model would work well, the counter depth model not so much.

This fridge is terrific. It has a lot more usable space than my old side-by-side refrigerator. The separate compartments are a wonderful way to separate items by frequency of use; and makes "loosing" things in the back is no longer an problem.. The door-in-door keeps me from opening entire fridge up for most frequently used items (milk, juice, etc). The 4th door is a nice drawer that allows you to select temperature different from the fresh food and freezer compartments..Love this feature, it makes a terrific wine cooler.. The freezer contains another drawer that allows for separating ice cream from items that you don't use as frequently.

my wife and I weren't sure about the middle flex drawer, but now that its home and were using it we absolutely love it. Its like having a giant meat drawer. Perfect for kids snacks, juice boxes, sandwich meats & cheeses. The freezer is plenty adequate as well. This unit cools down faster than you can believe and the ice maker keeps up well w/ demand. All in, we are extremely pleased with this product, id recommend it to anyone. it has a couple very minor things that any new buyer should be aware of: the water dispenser has no grill under it & nothing is available, but it is easy clean up as designed. the doors only open to 45degrees, but you can access everything w/o any issues (drawers pass by doors etc)

I've only had this item for a few weeks and so far I am extremely happy with it. After intense market research and technical investigations, I decided on this one in the black stainless. The black is more of a velvety color and matches the Samsung dishwasher I bought along with it. This refrigerator is a beast and definitely takes up space but I had planned for that in my kitchen. I am 5 feet tall and cannot reach the back of the fridge on the top shelf because it is considerably deep. Measure and measure again including the door hinges. It is a sharp looking piece of equipment and we have yet to fill it up. We have a 3 person family and haven't made a dent in capacity. The matching dishwasher is awesome as well. It sings a song when it is done and has a commercial dishwashing technique that isn't your standard. Again, I've only had it for a few weeks but so far so good. The extended warranty is a good deal being that they will send out Samsung certified technicians that understand the system. Delivery was quick and make sure that they list on the paperwork that you need a refrigerator either moved or disposed of. They won't do it otherwise. Our guys did because they were cool about it. Clearly unless you are buying a new house without appliances, there is a good chance of there being an existing fridge. We moved ours to our garage and fill it with waters, sodas and bulk items so in the long run, we do save money. One last thing, the motor on this runs all the time, smoothly and quietly. It prevents energy spikes by maintaining cooling not by kicking in when the thermostat rises. It is actually more energy friendly however, this new type of "engine" is what makes the fridge a tad pricier. Samsung utilized the KISS (keep it simple stupid) strategy. Clean lines, not hugely high tech so easy to use. It is just a refrigerator after all.

the new black stainless steel appliances are sexy!!!!! the interior lighting is bright and luminous and looks very modern. the door-in-door feature is very convenient and the metal panel in the back end of inner fridge looks awesome, as well as provides better cooling through out. the digital cool blue display on ice/water dispenser is very elegant and the fact that it has no physical buttons but rather touch sensors is a nice touch (no pun intended) as well. I have the whole black stainless steel set from Samsung and it is indeed an eye catcher!

I've read the reviews about the one problem this model had (faulty internal fan), but there weren't many of them so I decided to go ahead with the purchase (there was an AMAZING deal on black Friday). Well, with my luck being what it is, I got one with this defect. Fortunately, I purchased GeekSquad protection, and was able to get it fixed relatively quickly (if you're unsure, get the protection. My repair bill would've been 350 bucks). Now, the fridge is amazing. Super quiet, very efficient, lots of room and organization options. Would definitely recommend.

We searched for months for the right refrigerator and narrowed it down to the Samsung because of the price, quality and features. We went with the 4 door because we like the idea of having that drawer for "flexing" and the showcase is a great feature. It makes accessing the things you use daily right at your finger tips. It's functional, has good space and not to mention the black stainless is attractive. It's everything we hoped for and so far it has been great. It's like art in your kitchen

I had a similar model extra large LG fail (only 2 years old!) and was forced to find a similar fridge with the snack drawer (my favorite feature) on short notice. This one is slightly smaller and I’m still trying to fit tall items around the ice maker, but I think with some more time to adjust the shelving for my needs it will work out fine. Although the similar model Whirlpool ice maker is in the door and frees-up room in the “cabin” of the fridge, I still chose this one because the whirlpool ice maker/water dispenser is super noisy when dispensing and the water squirts outward and doesn’t work well with narrow drinking glasses. The LED lighting is bright and so far the ice maker/water is very quiet. The surprise came when I was waiting for the fridge to cool down after delivery...it appears to give you the ACTUAL temp of the freezer/fridge in the display when you open any door!! This is huge because my $4000 lg and almost an other fridge I’ve ever researched just displays the temp you have set. So after losing many batches of food over the years, I’m happy that this model’s display will flash if there is an unexpected temp increase. So maybe now I can put my wireless fridge alarms away and relax.

We left our Samsung refrigerator when we sold our previous home. We absolutely loved that one and wanted another for our new home. This model is awesome and we love the middle drawer and the showcase door. The showcase door is far more useful than I would have imagined. Quick and easy access to items you use often like coffee creamer, condiments, etc... The middle drawer is great for canned drinks, deli meats, cheeses, pies, cakes... You do lose some height in the door storage due to the middle drawer being a separate compartment. But the convenience more than makes up for it. The ice/water dispenser takes a lot of real estate in the left side door, but there is room for smaller items that often get lost in a large refrigerator, so it actually helps some organization wise.

Thanks to Hurricane Harvey I had to purchase a new refrigerator. I decided to go with Samsung do to past purchas of cell phones and TV’s. Samsung make quality products. I have received so many compliments on the refrigerator for its looks and design. But my favorite accessory is the the flex draw. The flex drawer will keep your wine at preset perfect temperature. What more would a girl ask for!

Based on the features of this refrigerator on this price range, there was no other that could be compared. I read some reviews about the ice maker potentially can cause problem, I was told by the person that delivered the appliance that it needs a little monthly cleaning, too early to tell if we will have problems. So far we love the quality and how quiet it is compared to the one we replaced.

It's a very slick looking and accessible refrigerator, I love the door in a door and the flex drawer is a real advantage. The ice dispenser needs a little work the crushed ice deispences it and makes a mess,falling out around edge of glass,otherwise it's a great frig.

There is plenty of room in the refrigerator and freezer. I love the middle drawer for party trays/large items. So far, we are very happy with the fridge itself. However, the lighting did not work the day they delivered the fridge. Best Buy resolved the problem in a timely manner.

I have found myself checking to make sure that the stove is not turned on this thing is so quite. I hope I don't get so used to the sound that one day I burn the house down by leaving the stove on... any who... The showcase door is super cool. You do have to know where things are in the door because I have often opened the full door only to realize that the item I want is more easily accessed through the showcase... bit of a learning curve. The shelves really feel strong and secure. The refrigerator is missing a Deli Drawer so our cheeses, deli meats, and soda is in the Flex zone drawer and it is set to the beverage setting. So for our purposes its not likely to have its temperature manipulated to fit the other settings available. The ice maker does take up a considerable amount of shelf space but since this fridge is an upgrade in size for us its not as if it impedes on our previous available space.

We were very impressed with the new black stainless finish and loved this refrigerator. The first one that was delivered made very loud popping noises many times during the day. Sometimes it was so loud that it would wake you at night. Best Buy was very good about replacing the refrigerator and it still makes popping sounds but not nearly as loud as the first one. Samsung says that these noises are normal expansion and contraction noises but I have had many refrigerators over the years and have never encountered this kind of noise in any other refrigerator I have owned. I only hope that the noises don't get louder over time or I will be looking for a replacement.

This fridge is great, beautiful!! Black stainless steel is fantastic. crushed ice, cubed ice works great. ice maker does run out a little quick, best to keep a container in the bottom freezer in case you are having a party.

Salesman and delivery guys were awesome. We reviewed it prior to our purchase, so we knew what we were getting into. Some have said that the ice maker is loud, we can hear it but no big deal (they all make noise). Didn't think I would care about the right side compartment door, now we love it! Very impressed with the unit. We have only had it for a couple weeks but have found no issues. We learned to adjust the inside shelves to fit taller or gallon size containers. Once that was done, it has all the room that we need. We have a water purification system and like the fact that we can take the water filter out and it will bypass the internal system and just run off of the house system. (We have not done this yet, might as well use what it came with for now.) No extra filters to buy now for no reason, unlike our last unit. The front can hold magnets as well, we didn't know until it arrived.

I have the black stainless steel, you have to be extra careful not to scratch it otherwise it will be noticeable. Surprisingly does not leave fingerprint marks. The freezer section is very spacious with 2 compartments within the freezer. The mid section is amazing for drinks, meal preps and stuff that you use the most. I love the showcase since alot of stuff is accessible although I found some trouble fitting in some stuff due that is not height adjustable. The inner door where the icemaker is there's some compartments but they're not really too big to fit anything bigger than your bar of cheese and small things like that. I had trouble fitting in jars of sunny D, milk or regular 1 liter sodas standing up, they will fit but you need to sacrify some counter space since you have to modify the inside in order to fit these items. For me it's not a problem because it's only me and my wife so we usually buy food to last us a week otherwise it will go bad. But it might be an issue if you have a larger family and need more space to place all the food . Some reviews complain that it's really loud , but it really isn't you do hear the water and icemaker every once in a while but nothing too loud to wake you up at night. Looks great, cools really fast and it goes great in any home.
