Fridge has plenty of storage, sparkling water awesome, the best part of the frdige is the beverage (flex zone) drawer it keeps my beer nice and cold at 29/F!!!

I purchased this refrigerator in December 2013. Within the first month of moderate use, the writing on the top paddle began to wear off, marring the cosmetic appearance. After numerous calls to both Best Buy and Samsung customer service departments, I was informed that the replacement paddles weren't covered under the manufacturer's warranty because it was cosmetic. Geek Squad would have covered the replacement, I was told. Fast forward 3.5 years- major leakage in the middle drawer, ice maker freezing over and freezer completely and randomly stopped working- all at the same time. Estimate cost of repairs was over one thousand dollars. Sadly, the repairman said he sees these problems frequently and advised that I consider whether the expensive repairs were worth it, or would it be better to buy another refrigerator. Not a big sign of confidence for such a pricey appliance. That said, I love this refrigerator- the spacious interior, the sparkling water dispenser, the elegant look. I only wish that I had a better experience with the longevity. I can recommend this refrigerator, but ONLY with an extended warranty.

Love having the middle drawer for things we reach for most often (yogurts, cheese, deli meats etc.) My 84 year old Mom only eats snacks these days so I prepare them in advance and stack them into a section of the center drawer which is a great height for her. That's work well for kids too. Nice to have the shelf that opens up to allow taller items. I made a 20" tall Trifle for dessert and it fit in there just fine. InterDesign makes highly functional BPA free plastic containers that are frig/freezer safe. Two of their egg holders fit under the ice maker. Also try Snap n Lock glass containers. With these additional items I can now find and reach everything in my frig. Imagine that! The crispers are excellent and keep produce fresh for weeks. Easy to replace the filter located in the middle of the boxes. Not much room on the door near the ice maker but you can fit a few condiments. See photo. Other door is spacious. We have a freezer in the garage but this one holds quite a bit. The top shelf is perfect for tubs of ice cream. I split it out with 6" plastic bins and a few ice cube trays with covers. The ice maker is OK. It makes enough crushed ice and small cubes for our use (2people) but we need more for parties. The bottom of the freezer is deep. The tiny shelf on the freezer door is handy for frozen steaks, small bags of fruit etc. Overall, it's a great frig. We can occasionally hear the ice maker or a bit of a hum but it's definitely NOT loud. It was a big debate over the flush counter model and this one. The 31" sticks out a bit but we adapted quickly and it is marvelous to have that space. 24" depth is just too small. Dramatic difference between our old side by side and this. We no longer waste food.

I really like the refrigerator. As people have said, it is large. Because of the large size, I don't end up wasting food due to items getting lost behind other items. There are large open areas for larger items and smaller areas so I can store "like" items. I just wish I could have bought this some place else! It was due to be delivered on a Wed. We had a snow storm and I was very impressed with the delivery people. Not only did they get through and up our driveway but before bringing in noticed that there was a large dent in the front door. They called Best Buy and had them call me. I was promised 3 times, that the new one would be delivered on Saturday. On Friday evening found out that it wouldn't be delivered until Mon. I work during the week and was unable to be home until 6PM however I was never told/offered that we could request a set time - for an additional price. Of course the time on Mon, was a morning time. I called them on Saturday to let them know that I wouldn't be home on Mon morning. Monday I received a call at work to let me know that they were running late and would be there around the lunch hour. I once again said that I wouldn't be home until 6. When I called at lunch about setting up a time for Tuesday. I received a voice mail that it would be delivered between 5-7 on Tuesday. I took off work early. At 6:30 PM I called because of not receiving a call stating that they were on their way. I was told that the delivery had been CANCELLED! After making yet another trip to local Best Buy, having them listen to the voice mails stating it would be delivered between 5-7 and much discussion and being very assertive - trying to cancel the order 4 times. They and the warehouse agreed to deliver it on Wed in a 1 hr time zone that I requested. At one point I was offered a price reduction - $25 on a $3000 refrigerator! That was not offered when I told them that I wanted a 1 hr time frame not the standard 2 hr. The refrigerator was delivered 30 after the 1 hr time frame, Do everything possible not to have to deal with their warehouse! The delivery people are fantastic. They got the refrigerator in without a scratch. One warning, if you have copper plumbing, they will not hook up the water line.

Overall, my wife and I are happy with this purchase, when bought at a discount. Still, you pay for fad french doors when it really should be $1K less. Holds everything. The ice dispenser is adequate. Although, we're a sports family and it holds half as much as our last ice maker. Although we measured, it sticks out 4-5 inches more than our last fridge -- which makes the unit a "centerpiece" of the kitchen. You feel like you're on a stage when you open the doors. Quite impressive. Loud popping noise from the freezer drawer which we haven't figured out yet. Hopefully a oddity of our particular unit. We'll need to get that serviced. The water dispensing on the front door is okay, but it assumes a large cup, so small cups can make a mess if you're not careful. Our 3 boys use small cups and they have to pay careful attention. I have a sodastream stand that I've been using for 2 years. It's really nice to get your water and CO at the same time. Particularly convenient, although I can only fill about 3 cups before it "processes" more from the tank. I'm okay with that usually. We haven't really started using the pullout drawer much yet, even though I have young kids. Just haven't started that learning process for them, but I think it'll work good in a few years. The noise level is average -- slightly more than our previous fridge, but it doesn't really bother me. My heatpump water heater is much louder. All the lights on the front are pointless. I don't care to see the temperature every time I open the fridge. Switching back and forth between ice and the sparkling water is a bit of a pain too. I wish it were harder to change the sparkling water level because it's constantly getting adjusted accidentally. Oh well, just inconvenient. Overall, a worthwhile purchase, but I sure hope it lasts. My last Amana survived 15 years, which seems like an acceptable lifetime.

We bought this refrigerator when it first came out and were very happy with the purchase initially but after few months of use the ice machine started having issues like it didn't make consistent ice cubes in size and shape but we ignored it thinking that's not a issue for us but one day we tried to emty the ice bucket to use ice for something that's when we realized there was a problem going on with the machine itself and that's why we weren't getting consistent of ice cubes. Basically the ice has started forming around the ice machine maker. Very disappointing with Samsung product how can we already started having problems with the frige after paying $3,000 ? We called Samsung about the problem and they did send in technician for repair but he did some temporary fix rather then permanent and while he was trying to address the issue he was telling us how he doesn't like these type of design in refrigerator because this becomes an issue for ice maker. We already have purchased this fridge so no going back but we thought it is fixed now. So after some time same thing ice cubes are getting stuck not coming out very consistent and one day I got tired of it and tried to pull the ice bucket out and I saw a layer of ice froze on the ice maker part and We thought omg we are in big trouble. By that time we were out of 1 year of warranty range and Samsung refused to fix it under their normal warrenty. They suggested purchasing extended warranty which was $499.00 so my husband said no let's just not use ice machine any more..I'm like No we paid big bucks for this fridge and we're supposed to have fridge that functions very well for at least some good years. But we definitely are very disappointed with Samsung and especially their way of handling customer service. When we called them second time for the same issue it had been just out the one year of warrenty range but we were hoping they will try to help us since the tech didn't fix the problem in first time. But no their operator said no we cant help you with anything since its out of the one year warranty so I asked someone like super wiser can help but no same thing said no sorry but we won't be able to help you since you're out of the warranty so now on for us no more Samsung because this is the first time we had to use the company for the issue with their products and they don't stand by their products if you have problems.

We love our fridge. It is very spacious and attractive. I will warn potential buyers however that it does not make seltzer, it makes sparkling water, which, even on its most bubbly setting is NOT seltzer, it's like Perrier. If you like your seltzer really bubbly and are thinking of this as an alternative to your soda stream then this will be a big disappointment (for some reason the reviews that we read prior to purchasing this did not note this fact). We were not told these facts before we purchased our fridge and were very disappointed to find this out. We have since gotten used to the "sparkling water" and actually enjoy it with a lemon or a lime. Also, the "sparkling water" maker does not make much sparkling water before it needs to pause for about 20 minutes to refill. So if you have a large family of "sparkling water" drinkers you may find this frustrating. Also, we can last about a week before we need a new CO2 canister installed.... we are going through these quickly (family of 5). Otherwise the fridge is fantastic. Really spacious! Love the interior lights.

This behemoth of a fridge is great. Works really well, slightly noisey, but not noticeable to me, and the sodastream is a plus! The mixes actually stink and do not taste anywhere close to the real thing, but I love me some seltzer, so I'm happy!

Much louder than my old inexpensive fridge (deep drone that sounds like a truck is running outside house). Carbonation is nothing like what you purchase in a bottle but is saving me from purchasing bottles of seltzer and storing them inside fridge. It also has stopped working on occasion requiring a reinstall of CO2 but this may be mistakes in hitting buttons (which can cause a 20+ min delay for reboot). Inside has many possible configurations and quick fixes for placing large items inside. Middle door/compartment is very useful. Pizza drawer and quick reach shelf in freezer has turned out to work well for our needs. $1000 off sale made the little annoyances easier to swallow. Teens in house find items easier so less waste of leftovers and other items as well as less "mom, dad where's the...?".

This refrigerator is really a great appliance, once you can figure out how to work it. the service is another story. Three days for delivery and scratches and dents all over the place. You should not use SUB -CONTRACTORS.

This is a great size and holds a ton of food. I shop in bulk when I can and so far have had plenty of room in the frig and freezer sections. It is quiet and I don't even notice the ice maker most of the time. My kitchen, dining room, and living room are all basically one big room, and I was worried about noise, but am pleasantly surprised at how quiet it is. My daughter likes the drawer in the middle. My only negative thought about this refrigerator is the that I am not impressed with the soda stream feature, but I had never used soda stream before and actually think that my opinion is more of how soda stream works, than specifically how it works in this refrigerator.

I love this Fridge!!! Tons of space with lots of exchangeable/foldable shelves. I was stuffing my last fridge but now I have tons of space. The shelves are the appropriate height for most things and when they are not it's so easy to fold up or adjust. I can store 2 gallons of milk in the door on the same shelf! Awesome!! The drawer inside the freezer works perfectly to keep those smaller items like breakfast sandwiches accessible. I just wish it came in bisque so it would match the rest of my appliances. I like stainless steal and I know it's the hot thing right now but bisque would have been better for my kitchen. I may have to look at getting it skinned with a bisque color so it matches the rest of my kitchen.

This refrigerator has lots of room. The bottom freezer is easy to use and access. The pull out drawer is really good for items that we use regularly. The refrigerator is arranged so that is easy to find items and use. The sparkling water dispenser works great and we use it daily.

Overall, my wife and I love this fridge! It has tons of room with adjustable shelves that makes it quick and easy to reconfigure when needed. The gallon storage bins on the door are great for milk and juices which leaves the main shelving open for other items. The seperate drawer for drinks or party platters is awesome and very convenient. The freezer provides ample room for everyday freezer items though organization of the freezer drawer is somewhat difficult. This is not a particular issue for us since we have another full size freezer in the garage to store bulk/family size items and the freezer drawer serves its purpose. The water and ice features work great with no issue. The biggest complaint I have is with the sparkling water feature. This has not worked or worked correctly since the fridge was installed about a month ago. We did not purchase the fridge for the sole purpose of this feature and even if it did work correctly, I would probably not use this anyway. With that said, this is certainly something to consider if the sparkling water feature is important to you. Despite the high price, we would definitely recommend this fridge!

This refrigerator is large with lost of space to store a bunch of groceries and the sparkling water is an awesome feature. However its very quiet except for the loud clicking sound from the ice maker that happens at least once or twice a day.

This fridge looks great and has tons of features. The sparkling water works great and having 4 doors is fantastic. It has quiet operation and all features have been working great so far. The only downside is its large footprint, but the others we looked at were similarly sized.

Very quiet, excellent features including sparkling water, extremely roomy and well organized cabins, drawer between fridge and freezer is handy and excellent to keep things ready for next use, interior lighting is excellent

Overall the fridge is an excellent product. It works well and is easy to use and program. Food stays fresh for a long time and the water and ice dispenser works flawlessly. The soda stream feature is pretty awesome but my only complaint is that it only produces 1 ltr at a time and depending on what carbonation level you choose it takes a while for it to be ready to dispense again. Level 1 is about 10 mins, level 3 is about 30-45 mins. Another issue I came across was getting it into my house. The fridge is BIG and will not fit through a standard doorway. Thank goodness I had it delivered because the Best Buys guys had to literally remove the doors, drawers and my front door to be able to get it in my house. Overall, I have been more than happy with my purchase but would just advise to check your measurements to make sure it'll fit through your doorway and into your refrigerator cubby so you wont have any issues or disappointments.

We really like the fridge but it is really loud at times. The interior lights are great and the versatile configuration makes it really useful. The extra drawer has come in really handy in the few weeks we've had it. It's great for water bottles, party trays and such. Make sure there is room to get it through your doors and around the counters. Our installers had to take the doors off and lift it three feet of the ground to clear the counter top. Despite the noise we are going to keep it.

We bought this unit recently after moving from a townhome to a larger single home, replacing our reliable 17 year old Kenmore. We were fortunate to find an Open Box unit that was marked down in price significantly. Combined with the discount for using our Best Buy credit card, we scored this unit for under $2K. We wouldn't have even considered this unit at full price. In the store, I wasn't convinced I would like the middle drawer. I thought it was more of a gimmick than anything. But, it turns out this is one if the features we like best. It's great for storing soda and beer cans, juice boxes, yogurt, and left over pizza in box. The freezer has more than ample room for us, although we do have a full upright freezer in our basement. The door shelves are large and very deep. What is a little frustrating though is that you cannot fit 2 gallons side by side. You can, however, fit 5-6 half gallons on one shelf. The flip up shelf inside next to the icemaker unit is brilliant. Our kids are split on their opinion of the SodaStream feature. Our 15 year old daughter "could really care less" about it, while our 12 year old son absolutely loves it. We would recommend purchasing the special SodaStream storage bottles, as they seem to make better results. I wouldn't have bought the unit just for this feature. This thing is just plain massive, so make sure your kitchen has room. The installers mentioned this was the second largest unit they install. It was necessary to remove the doors of the unit to get it into our home. Even pushed in close to wall (I needed to purchase a 90 degree angle fitting for my icemaker line), this unit still sticks out quite a bit past counters. A day after installation, we did notice an intermittent rattling noise that seemed to occur when one of the compressors kicked in. We called Samsung, who sent out some techs who found some tubing was touching metal and causing the vibration. They fixed it quickly and easily and it has been quiet since. Overall, we are very pleased with our our base. I think Samsung does with their refrigerators, what they do with other consumer electronics: take what other manufacturers are doing and improve upon it. This is a beautiful unit for sure, and I would recommend it, but I would honestly have a hard time paying full retail price.
