I made the best decision buying this hood vent! Very satisfied!

This does not work with Smarthings unless it is connected to a range through bluetooth, it doesn't have wifi!!!!! As far as I can tell only Samsung cooktops have bluetooth and none of their ranges have it so this is a completely useless feature for ranges. Don't buy if you are range shopping and I just bought a brand new Samsung range and it doesn't work with it. I'm angry and feel duped, want to return it. I have all Samsung products in my home and this is the first time I feel disappointed in how this product is advertised.

As per checking, this range hood model is not wi-fi capable and does not work with the SmartThings app.
This appliance has a feature that allows you to pair compatible Samsung
cooktops and your hood via Bluetooth.

It does not work with Smartthings

It is too late when you figure this out, and you need to stay 1.5 hours with support who also had no idea about it ... And at the end even the Bluetooth you cannot use it with any gas range. False advertisement here and on Samsung website.

The over the cooktop microwave exhaust was never enough! This doesn’t the job and even when seating staeks or other meat the kitchen stars smoke free!
