I purchased the range on July 28th and as of today August 10 , the range does work and never has. From the beginning the sales associate said I was STUCK with it. The manager Brianne refused to exchange product as well even offering to buy another product and pay the difference

We have only had the range for 10 days, so I'll revisit the review if we have any quality issues, but so far everything has worked perfectly. I've used cast iron on the range and the glass hasn't been scratched. We did have to buy new pans, but we expected that and had new ones ready before the range arrived. Do use the magnet trick to ensure your pans will work. Water for pasta boils fast...so fast. I use the boost button and though I haven't scientifically timed it, I estimate it takes about 2 minutes to a complete boil for a medium saucepan half full of water. That is just so fast. My other electric range took like 8 minutes to boil. I anticipate some good energy savings too. I also like that the heat is even, rather than a hot spot in the middle of the pan and cold spots on the edges. I read some stuff on Induction that said the stove top doesn't get hot. This isn't entirely true. Heat transfer does occur. Think of it this way. If you touch a hot pan just after removing it from the stove, it's hot. It will burn you if you leave your hand on it, but you can tap it without injury. The stove top is like that after you're done with it. I can tap it easily and know it is hot enough I'm not going to rest my palm on it. The display also has an H to warn me it is still hot. With a 4 yr old around, I like that it is less hot than the electric range was. It is much more pleasant to cook because the kitchen doesn't get nearly so hot. In Phoenix, we value that. Bottom line...it costs more, but I fully expect it to be worth it!

I purchased this range, in September of 2013. Thought it would last me the rest of my life HA HA. Last November the fan went out in the oven. As I was medically sick at the time and not doing much cooking (living alone) so stove is and never has been misused or overused. In April of this year 2015 the back burner on the left and also the front burned quit working. The local repair shop that is a warranty authorized for Samsung. Order these parts then and still they can't get the parts on back order. So now I am cooking on an induction hot plate I purchased before I bought this range. Wanted to see if induction was something I liked. YES even though they say any pot or pan that is listed works NOT TRUE. Calaphone (spell) don't so I purchased a set of stainless Belique and use old wrought iron cookware. At this point I have one burner that works at the back right . The right front won't work with just any size. It is a large burner and won't except smaller pans. NO I would not buy this if I knew today what I was in for. Haven't phone Samsung yet but plan on it this next week. Beings as I've had the stove for 2 1/2 yrs am sure they will say OH Well no warranty. The black top also I think is a problem you can NOT just wipe it down it is streaked and ugly. Have to use glass cleaner on it every time I cook. NEVER would I recommend this stove. Love the induction cooking over electric or gas.

Pans can be found at Bed Bath & Beyond, or a nice stainless set from Target. You don't have to go expensive. This stove has 4 burners. Either 4 independent or 2 and a larger 'flex' area (2), that cooks together as one. I especially like the split shelf feature of the oven. There was a small learning curve from electric. Just getting used to how the cook levels perform. I first cooked a large pot of soup. After it was brought to a boil, just hit the simmer button til done. It was simple! Just read through the manual once to understand the symbols and find quick tips to getting started.

So, The first oven arrived damaged - Best Buy promptly sent a new one. We really like the induction cook-top. But, the right front burner takes a really big pot to work. You need to actually measure the base of the pot to make sure it is big enough. We only have two that will work on it. Cook top heats fast and is great to set the temps - if you need consistent water boil set it 5.5 and it is perfect. Oven is great- really like the convection feature. We have not used the warming drawer yet. Best Buy is great. Samsung, well I like the oven but I am having trouble getting my rebate. Samsung is telling me the Best Buy is not an authorized retailer. I'm still happy with the purchase - just not happy with Samsung rebate center.

Makes noises I am not use to which is related to the way induction cooks I am told. I LOVE the sleek look it adds to my kitchen with no nobs- looks very high end! It's easier to keep the induction clean too compared to the electric. The food cooks more evely and l feel like I can cook with more control because of a quick temperature response time. Did need to buy new pans, but it was worth it all!

Love the convection oven and the induction cooktop, but fails due to shody wiring and assembly. 2 service call in 10 months cooktop wiring harness has multiple broken thin gauge wires. Oven element failed earlier due to broken terminal. Samsung customer support is a joke, they can't find a service company to service there product in central Ohio. Stay away and buy from Maytag, Frigidaire, or Kenmore as long as it not Samsung. And buy the protection plan. I feel like A&E Serivce is a close friend due to the number of trips to my house for Samsung products.

    Awesome Stove

I cooked with gas my entire life until I moved to AZ where I only had an electric stove. It was horrible - long heat up times and it took forever to boil a fairly large quantity of water for cooking pasta and the like. Moreover the temperature controls were ineffective and slow to respond, especially when less power was required. The oven was also not a convection type and had horrible and inaccurate temperature controls and everything I baked took at least twice as long as the recipe called for. NO MORE! This induction stove responds the same way as a gas stove and instantly raises or lowers the heat and no more boil-overs. Set on 'boost' and water is brought to a boil faster than any gas stove I cooked on, amazing my friends with its speed. The oven is accurate and everything is cooked in the amount of time as prescribed in recipes with even heat distribution. It also retains heat better than my former electric stove but not quite as well as the 50+ year old Chambers stove which I previously cooked on in NYC - but that's a tall order for any oven to live up to. Extremely pleased and so far it works as advertised and I can only hope that it is as trouble free as my Chambers stove that needed only 1 repair from 1955-2012, but I won't bet on that kind of trouble free service with anything made in the last 20+ years. In addition it is more energy efficient than my former electric stove and my former gas stove.

We picked out this range after considering several others and are very happy with our choice. We also have the Samsung over the range microwave and they make an awesome pair! So far we are amazed at how quickly water boils and fast the temperature adjusts to changes in your settings. It's like have a gas range without the gas!

I haven't used all the features yet. But I really do like the control knobs. and the stove top with all the different sized elements. I don't think the fast boil is really THAT fast. I love how the oven bakes. It is a nice stove.

The sales material for the flex burner shows a griddle with two eggs, bacon and pancakes. Any griddle I located was not for induction or was not to be used on a glass top. Even the one sold by Samsung parts. Even the store salesman tried to locate one. It's a long reach down to the warming drawer and the drawer seemed of poor quality. Finger prints and spills were difficult to clean from the glasstop. Limited pan size choices for burners. Thankfully, the store picked up the range and gave a full refund. They will be my first choice for an appliance purchase in the future.

    Great induction Stove

I bought this stove as a XMAS gift to myself. I'm really happy that I did. I spent a lot of time researching induction stoves. I really liked this one because of all the features. It has steam and self cleaning. Steam cleaning only really works for minor clean up. A lot of the ovens are moving to steam only. Oven has bake and convection features. I'm still working with the learning curve on convection and am not completely sold on it. It's great to have the choice. There are 2 broiler settings high and low. The induction top heats quickly and is amazingly easy to clean. I have had a lot of problems with cleaning flat glass top stoves that aren't induction. To be honest, this is what attracted me to induction and I haven't been disappointed yet. My only complaint is pots. The pots have to work on an induction stove top and they have to be a specific diameter range to work on the burner. You are not going to be able to buy one pot which will work on all the burners. I spent a long tome searching and returned 2 sets before settling on my current set. I really wanted a non-stick cookware. I couldn't find a set that would work with an induction stove and had pots with the correct diameter. However, the set I did purchase works fine and cleans up pretty easily, even without nonstick. I would definitely recommend this stove.

I spent a LOT of time researching this purchase and had narrowed down the choices to just a select few. Then I loaded up my stack of reviews and Consumer Reports ratings and price info and headed out to do some shopping (and hopefully some buying, as well). I spent a couple of evenings at Best Buy and other stores looking at the various products in this price range and compared features, controls, warranty, and price, and finally decided on the Samsung convection range. It included all of my "must have" features, and a few I had never considered. That it did so with a terrific warranty and at a lower price than any competing model made the decision easy. Installation was easy and after four weeks of daily use, I am absolutely thrilled with this range--I literally have zero complaints and if anything, the range has exceeded my expectations.

This is my third Samsung Induction range from Best Buy. This is the latest model # (the other two were the FTQ307NWGX replaced under warranty with 3 tech visits and 3 days lost from work, 2 deliveries, 2 more day's of work lost (Geek squad does not give a darn about you missing work! TRUST ME ON THAT!# This range was defective right out of the box. The right front large element #burner) does not workl. No heating of any size pan at all, but it "senses" a pan according to the display. The other 3 elements do not seem to have the power of the older FTQ 307. They boil water about like a convential electric stove IMHO. The FTQ307 boiled water FAST! The oven works just fine. All of the fan noises of the older FTQ307 are GONE. This one is WAYYYY quieter!! I hope I didnt purchase the first year problems of a new appliance. It still has the problem of liquids draining between the glass in the oven door, and this one doesnt seem to convert the oven temperature when baking/roasting in the convection mode like the FTQ307. When you type in 350 degrees for the convection bake, it does not convert to 325 degrees automaticaly like the FTQ307 model.
