      I'm sorry to hear about your issue, Wisconsinite. The WA40J3000AW, like many other models, is designed to add water during the spin cycle if an imbalance is detected. This often enables the Washer to redistribute the clothes to reduce vibration. I'm glad to know you have service scheduled now to help resolve this issue.

While I realize you may have already returned your Washer and Dryer, for the sake of others who may see this it's important to note that there may be troubleshooting steps that can be taken to prevent or correct such issues. For example, adjusting the leveling or redistributing the clothes in the Washer may prevent the WA40J3000 from needing to add water during the spin cycle to correct an imbalance. If the problem persists, the Customer Service Team at 800-SAMSUNG is available to help resolve the issue.
