Bought last year for Black Friday on in impulse buy due to price and currently owning a 61" Samsung Smart TV. It's nice to be able to stream stuff from different services on yet another tv in our house. No issues/complaints.

Okay TV, Limited Smart Abilities

This TV is okay for under 400. But I had to return it and buy a few models up because, while this TV says it's a smart TV, it's not very smart and will not access DLNA Devices or stream multimedia. The Smart hub on this TV only gives you the ability to access Apps such as Netflix Hulu and Pandora. I tried a work around to locate my server using an app but that didn't work either and would not play any video file types. Not even the most common MP4.

The TV arrived in perfect condition. Setting it up was surprisingly easy. I have had it for 5 months now and I've not had any issues with it. The apps don't take long to load which I was worried about and they have pretty good apps.

I ended up getting this 40" tv for my bedroom and I have to say the only complaint I have is that the remote is quite unresponsive. Not as good as the better models which I have in the living room. All and all good value

This is the third Samsung in my house and the second one that is a Smart TV. This particular model is just not good enough. The picture looks great and setup is easy, but the speed of the TV is just awful. It is literally at least a three second delay from when you press a button and for the TV to respond. Even a simple volume down has a three second delay when using any of the Smart TV options like Netflix.
Finally, just to clarify what "Mr. Samsung" says in one of his responses, Hulu Plus IS NOT available on this TV as of 8/18/2014. Yes you can download the app as he indicated but after opening the app, it simply says that Hulu Plus is coming soon.
I returned this unit and am trying out the 6203 which is supposed to have a faster processor in order to fix the speed issue.

NOT a keeper

No matter what picture setting I choose, the corners of the screen are dark. It's very distracting. My Netflix and HuluPlus programs are always freezing. I can't get the PBS or Crackle apps. And even though I can access my DVD player using the remote, I can't make any selections (like "play"). My decade old Samsung has a far superior picture and works quickly with my Roku. I'm returning this so-called "smart" TV. Instead, I'll buy another Roku and a regular LED.

Good Smart TV, some minor issues

Good Smart TV, it has everything I was looking for. The only two issues I've found so far are:
1. It takes a few minutes since you turn it on every time in order to allow you to start viewing online videos in Amazon or Netflix. But as long as you can plan 2 minutes ahead, you'll be fine.
2. I can't watch 2 consecutive videos on Amazon Prime, it just won't load the second one. I need to exit the smart mode and then go back. It doesn't take a lot of time, but it shouldn't work like that.

built-in browser is very limited

I bought this TV because it features a built-in web browser. I was hoping to use the internet to stream channels, etc. HOWEVER, the "browser" does not support Adobe Flash, which is what most of the sources of video require. Basically, it's a screen. I can plug in external cable box or another device: it is not "smart." Samsung customer support says there's nothing they can do. As a screen, it's fine.

More to do with "customer service" than the item

Ahem - somebody bring me a soap box---I purchased the item as a gift (09/2014). I was in the middle of setting it up for this new convert to everything Samsung and smart et al when the screen froze on set-up. Unplugging it (no power off/ on button on the TV) could not reset it. I called BB customer service (local store - 1501 New Britain Ave West Hartford, CT 06110 ), got transferred to a Samsung rep who was at the store- 45mins later after a very frustrating remote control code punching gymnastics with the rep and we both having to go the "really" route, we opted for the return/exchange solution. This is when things got smug CT. I walk into the store, 40'' TV on my shoulder accompanied by my wife to a service rep who wanted to take me through the "Siiiirr, did you plug the TV in" routine. I get it, procedure, but maaaoom!, I just spent about an 1 1/2hrs of my life trying to solve this, with help from your store- I just want to exchange the TV as promised over the phone and I will be on my merry little way back to re-converting the non Samsung believer that this occurrence is an anomaly and here- look all fixed! Brand spanking new again! She (service rep at the counter) rolled her eyes, called in a team of "tech experts" to educate this dude with a FL DL on how to troubleshoot a nonfunctional smart TV- it's smart ain't it, we should figure this out in less 60 secs – this is CT after all!. Now we have about 6 techs remaking "men who stare at goats"- where is the power button, I overheard one ask. After an agonizing 15mins, my replacement TV comes - smug service rep starts talking to herself and my replacement TV is delivered to her- by a person who carried it from the back stock room- this point is very important. The person stands next to her, I am assuming to wait to help me carry it my car- standard customer service at BB. She gestures to him that she will be handling it from here forth- exchanges it out in the system for me, and then it happens....She drags my new replacement 40" Samsung smart TV from behind her desk to front of the counter where were - everyone watching in bewilderment expect for her colleague, pink hair and all- where they were now the tag team of smug CTans! I am tired, I just grab my TV and walk away (carrying it), thanked the guy who carried it from the stock room- I just want to watch the game, you know. As we left the store, the two mentioned loosely above "made sure to escort us" out of the store, she behind and pink hair with her nose, I am not making this up, up in the air gesturing superiority of some sort, walked ahead of us and saw us out the door of their store! They bid us "Good DAY!" At a freaking BB mind you, not a Ritz Carlton. So why did it take me this long- I just wanted to see how the 2nd TV would fair. This one worked out well, the smart feature is its new owner's favorite- besides everything else nice Samsung TVs. I would recommend the TV, not so sure about the store if that's how customer service works. P/S- the remote lags a tad bit- the 2nd one worked better than the first- no, it's not the batteries. Yes I am back in FL after 9 months in CT- for those who care.

I've had this tv for a year now. We call it the stupidtv b/c it's so slow & glitchy. We have a 10yr. old flat screen that we utilize w/ an apple tv box & it works effortlessly. This has to "warm up" before you can even use the smart features - which are very limited. Sometimes w/ netflix or amazonprime it's always "thinking" and won't play so we have to restart the whole system again which can take 10 minutes. And now that it's winter again... I just decided to hook up our Wii system for the kids. Come to find out, the input/output hook-ups are on the back of the tv which in hanging from the wall so we can't gain access to it. Poorly designed in so many ways. I wouldn't get another "smart tv" again. I would much rather get another apple box or roku box. And would look for outputs on the sides or bottom.
