Originally bought a different Samsung 40,J5200 model, right after Blk Friday for $307 ( open box ). After setting it all up I was so disappointed. First off, if your not sitting right in front of it, the blacks turn purple and since the refresh rate is 60 forget watching sports or anything moving too fast. Drops the pixels...All hooked up with full HD and I thought I was watching a upgraded Standard TV. Next day all boxed up, back it went. Tony the Mgr at the Beaumont store was Great. Found me this Samsung 40JU6400 on sale for $449 This one was not on the floor to sample, but for a few dollars more, I thought I'd give it a try. Soon as I got it all set up and switched to Dynamic mode. Wowie, Wowie, did my eyes get a sight! So crisp and clear. This definitely was the right choice. Just maybe wait till it goes on sale again. I saw it go up today to $749. Thank You, Russell, Tony and the gang at BB.

This 4K is awesome. I wanted a 4K TV that wouldn't take up the entire wall and this TV fits the bill perfectly. I love all the built in Smart TV features since I no longer have to start a connected device to stream video. I have had no problem streaming HD video so far, and the wireless stream has actually been more stable than my laptop. It was really easy to set up and has a user friendly interface that even my 60+ year old mother can easily navigate. Overall a great purchase.

yes my ex. she had a 32' sharp from 09 that was twice as much, twice as heavy and half the picture quality. at first it did not look to good, then I got the hdmi cable and upgraded her cable box and she was blown away! very good picture, great value, easy to set up and great price. delivery from UPS was on time and free. the reviews had it right on this!

I bought this to use mainly as a monitor for a computer, and to that end it has been just fine. the default refresh is 30hz, make a step up in the model line and you get 60hz. this has not really impacted me as the HDMI can really only handle 30hz, and a single GPU can't really cope beyond that. I don't play FP shooters, I play RPG's and the image and colors are awesome. Be ready for the impact on everything you do, so many pixels means that wallpaper that filled your screen is small now, and you had better have great eyes, because text will be tiny (yes you can adjust that later). That is why it is overwhelming, so many dots. Color and picture quality have been great, everything is so sharp, can't wait for content to catch up. One note, area dimming can do weird things with the backlight when looking at images that are darker in tone, might be an issue for people who do lots of photo editing. Over all, I'm very happy.

I purchased this TV on Black Friday for $450.00. I just opened it today. The TV was easy to setup. It took just a few minutes and it is very light in weight. I like the thin frame, the picture is very nice. It has good sound. I was able to connect it to my cable remote with no problem. For the price it's a great TV. I was totally disappointed when I saw the size of the TV. I saw 40" and thought that's what I was getting. Instead the TV from frame to frame is only 36". It seems that 40" Class means it falls within this TV screen class not that you're getting a 40" TV. I was replacing an actual 40" TV in my family room with this one however, it seems to small so I am putting in my room. I am considering purchasing the 55" or waiting until next year.

Purchased this TV for our RV because of it's Smart capability and got the added bonus of being 4K too! The TV that came with the RV was a good picture, but did not have Smart Capability. We like the fact that with internet service, we can view our Net Flix, current news events, check emails or simply watch a sports event LIVE while away from home. Easy set up! Great picture! Easy to use Smart TV. We have a Samsung 55" Smart-4K in the house too! Highly recommend any Samsung Smart-4K TV to anyone.

I've been a Samsung fan for a while, and when I wanted to get a new TV for our "sitting room", it didn't take me long to settle in on this model. Smart? You bet. (I'm talking about the TV...) It was a cinch to program it for my current cable operator, as well as Netflix and Sonos. When I add in my Amazon Prime, I'll have it full of the goodies that I currently have. The TV is intuitive and very easy to operate. I'll be looking at Samsung for future TV's when the "cave" if finally finished.

Cant beat the price. Great deal. Remote could be better. Only 3 hdmi's. 4k picture good. Motion rate isnt bad. Great for gaming and sports.

A smart TV is worth nowadays! It was a great purchase, I can watch my videos on YouTube wireless from any of my devices on the TV and it has so many other features. The image is great, real and clear. You see the difference between HD channels and regular ones, its amazing. TV is very light and it was so easy to put it up on the wall. So far I am very happy with my purchase specially since I got it for almost half price on President's day Sale. Thanks Best Buy :)

I read reviews and did my research before purchasing this tv, so I knew the specs I wanted. First off, you must use the remote to power up/down the tv....to my knowledge this unit DOES NOT HAVE A MANUAL ON/OFF BUTTON!!! This is so annoying because I rarely know the location of my remote. Speaking of remote, the keys do not light up when you press a button, so good luck finding keys in the dark. Also I originally hooked the tv to the cable box using the coaxial cable and the picture quality was garbage. I switched to the s-video/audio cables and got much better picture quality. Maybe I need to adjust my settings, but I see the picture freeze from time to time. The picture quality (contrast/color/sharpness) is fantastic if you sit far enough away and directly in front of the unit. Regardless of the distance, I can see the picture freeze from time to time. The freeze happens during regular movies, football, even during commercials. If you sit too close to the tv, you see some picture noise, but from what I read, that is the drawback to the Smart UHD's. Also, if you are looking from the side, the color looks washed out and the sharpness is splotchy. I was never able to connect to my Wi-Fi, I believe I just skipped that step, so never used the apps (major feature of the smart part of the tv). As for the aesthetics of the tv itself, it is quite sleek and lightweight. You can deliver and setup yourself without help. I gave it three stars because I'm not sure if the freezing is a bug in the tv, or my cable-connection choice and the fact that this tv does NOT have a manual on/off switch baffles my mind. I also expected a better picture quality from all angles. I use this set in my bedroom so I'm pretty much directly in front of the set in the dark. I've had this television set about a month and was hoping to get used to the freezing and other annoying things I didn't expect such as non-lit remote, lack of manual power button on set, and detachable power cord. I would like to mention one really nice feature includes the ability to program a time to turn the tv on/off.

I was able to get this Smart TV for $599 + Tax and I'm very happy with it. Having the Apps built-in is awesome, Netflix, Youtube and the other Apps work flawlessly. Only a slight problem, there's a slight lag on raising or lowering the volume. It just started, it think it's related to software updates, but other than that it's great. I highly recommend it.

Have had the tv about a month now and very happy with it so far. Easy to set up and working fine on both cable and antenna, used AV input for old vcr and HDMI for dvd and they look great too. It replaced a Samsung 27" I had for over 15 years that finally started going bad. First time I turned this set on I realized how bad the old set had actually gotten, picture is excellent, colors are bright. If this one lasts half as long I'll be happy.

My first review was on the same Tv but I purchased it for my son Bday; Now I purchased the same Tv for my Bday because I was glued to the first purchase. AMAZING picture :) AMAZING TV:) I'm very happy with both purchases:)

We had an excellent LG 32" in our bedroom, but we're not getting any younger, it was getting hard to read the CC, so I decided to start looking for TV's, when I saw the Samsung 40" K, I loved how the image was so clear and bright, and we got it on Black Friday, I am very happy with it. It also have a lot of apps and features.

Love it! Not my first Sammy, but my first 4K, Smart TV. Wow! The picture is stunning. And the apps are great. Hookup to the WIFI was a breeze. Web surfing is a bit cumbersome having to click one character at a time. But most of us are used to it by now thanks to TV searches with our cable providers! No cons, love it!

if you are in the market for a 4K TV but don't want to go 55" route the Samsung 40 class is your next best bet. The clarity of this TV is unmatched. Perfect for that smaller space The den or the bedroom.

Lovin my new tv. I orginally had a 32in basic tv. when I bought this, it was the difference between night and day. I love the sound, the look, the abilities to get online. I am very well pleased with this tv. It is taking a little bit to get used to with the smart features but overall, i love it.

This is a wonderful product. The picture quality is great. This is my first smart tv, and I love it. I got this around Black Friday, so I got it for a good price. I got it for my bedroom, and it's almost too big for it. I would recommend it for a living room or a large bedroom.

I got this on sale after looking at a lot of HD TVs trying to save money on a TV for a vacation home (so it's not used much). However, the price on this UHD TV was amazing so I went decided to get the UHD. It's got great Samsung picture quality and good smart tv features. the only problem is that you may not find one. The replacement has a few new signal options but costs $300 more.
