I'm a loyal Samsung customer. I've owned Samsung TV's my whole life. I have a Samsung cell phone as well. Now for the quick detail to why I'm very disappointing. I specifically bought the latest UHD (8 series) to be somewhat ahead of technology. I figured there would be improvements on any glitches by now. I was wrong. I had this TV all but 3 days before it went black and blue. The screen would oscillate from black and blue, almost as if it were trying to connect but couldn't. It would shut down in irregular intervals. I had to unplug it all together to stop the oscillation. I waited a couple of minutes before I plugged it back in hoping it would fix the problem with no luck. I left the TV unplugged all night, nothing, no change. Still oscillating. Of course I returned the product for a full refund. I didn't want to take a chance of doing an exchange and having it go out after the 15 day return policy and/or the 1-year manufacturer's warranty.
On the plus side, I was within the 15 day return policy.
I will talk about the positives; when it was working. Sound was good. Picture was excellent. When first initiated the TV made it easy to connect the features needed to control. The design was sleek with thin edges. Very light weight.
As reference with my last Samsung I had purchased. I had a 32 inch for 8 years. About 6 years in, the smart portion of the TV was having a hard time connecting. I had to hit the smart button at an exact moment for it to connect. Finally, after two year later it was no longer connecting. I was some what disappointing with this TV, as I thought it would at least last 10-12 years.
I'd hate to say it, either Samsung TV's have dropped in quality and workmanship, or i just got a lemon. I will attempt to stick with Samsung but a different model, in hopes of successes and an excellent Samsung I know to be.
However, beware of this particular TV. (Samsung - 43" Class - 8 Series - 4K UHD TV - Smart - LED - with HDR)

Had my Samsung since 2020 and it's still holding up. my only complaint is sometimes I'm unable to see darker images. for example if I'm on Netflix and the scene is dark or has minimal lighting, I'm unable to see what's happening. I looked for a brightness setting but was unable to find one.

All in all its a good TV for the price. But the up scaling processing is not what i hoped it would be. it works better off of movies and games but when it comes to streaming apps, slower internet speeds that can't hold a constant 1080p you'll notice the picture go in and out of smoothness/clarity.
other than the not so great up scaling, im happy with my purchase.

This TV stopped working less than two months after I purchased it from Bestbuy. I have been on the phone at least 6 times now with Samsung, had a warranty technician out who said it wasn't fixable and Samsung said my local Bestbuy store would be contacting me with details of a store credit. Bestbuy never contacted me and the store doesn't answer the phone (I tried several times over several days, waiting on hold for over an hour once). After buying exclusively Samsung TVs for years now this is a HUGE disappointment, both with Samsung and Bestbuy.

Quit working at 2 hours

It went black with no picture after setting it up and using it for about 2 hours. Samsung is sending out a tech to try and repair 4 days from now to try and fix my brand new TV. Very disappointed all the way around. I liked it for the two hours it worked.
