    NOT WORTH THE PURCHASE for 4K streaming.

    I needed a new TV only for 4k movie/TV show streaming (Netflix, Hulu, HBO Now, etc.). My Samsung MU7000 ($550) was not repairable so Geek Squad agreed to return the money in a gift card. For an additional $150, I decided to buy the Samsung Q60R (on sale $699) thinking QLED was an upgrade but I was wrong with the overall performance. My internet download speed is at 142.6 Mbps. My MU7000 4K movie performance was perfect when paired with the Xbox One S (Netflix, Hulu, HBO Now) and performed well when using Samsung's TV apps. The Q60R TV apps made the 4k video stream quality look grayed out. So I decided to have an Apple 4k TV connected thinking the quality will perform better but got the same result. For the original price of $799, this Q60R TV does not perform as good as the MU7000 (2017). LED bleeding was noticeable on the top left & right corners on the Q60R on day one. I worked on the advanced Picture settings on the Q60R but the performance still does not come close to my previous Samsung. The night/dark scenes on any movie look horrible on the Q60R. The MU7000 was a lot smoother on fast moving objects compared to the Q60R. I will return this Q60R. I believe you can get the full potential of this TV if you are using 4K Blu-Ray disc player but who still buys movie disc? Even Samsung have announced they will NO longer make 4K Blu-Ray disc players. I gave a rating of 1-star since this TV under performs compared to a two year old 7-series model.

      Our Q60 R series are powered by Quantum Processor 4K, Quantum HDR 4X, and deliver over a billion shades of color with sharp details, and fine-tuned black level.
      It is possible that your particular set was either defective or required adjustments in settings. Nonetheless, I do sincerely apologize for the let-down.
      If you have not already returned your unit, please give us the opportunity to investigate the issue and provide step-by-step troubleshooting. If this TV is performing worse than a 2-year-old UHD TV, then something is definitely not right.

    Don't buy Samsung

    This is my 2nd Samsung TV. The first Samsung I could not ask for a better TV. After many years of use the color started streaking. Because of the excellent service I got from my first Samsung I decided to get another Samsung. The TV would not pick up the local channel 5, the educational channel would fade in and out, and some times would not work at all. Plus the 40 --- channels and the 62 --- channels would not work at all. The remote was not designed to select individual channels. If you wanted an individual channel you had to surf threw all the channels to get where you wanted to go. I was shocked to see how far Samsung has fallen.

      I am sorry that you are experiencing issues viewing your local channels.
      First of all, you need to have an antenna or cable connected. Then switch to TV source and press Home button on the remote and go to Settings > Broadcasting > Auto Program. Select start then select the type of signal (Air or Cable). Wait until Auto Programming is completely done.

      To direct tune a specific channel, switch to TV source then press the 123/color button on the remote to display the numeric key pad. Select the channel number from the keypad, then scroll up and select Done.

    Excellent picture

    This is my first "Smart TV" so it is a learning curve for me. The setup went well with only a small issue and the Samsung phone customer service was excellent. I have found out that since my DVD player was 11 years old and did not have HDMI output that this TV was not compatible since the interface did not have RCA jacks. Also be aware that the current Redbox streaming APP does not work with this newest Samsung technology TV so you can't stream from Redbox until they update the APP.

    The picture quality is like none other and so worth the price. However, I found out that my new tv likes to crackle and make strange noises. I researched and found I’m not the only one. It’s not constant but it’s there and it might be an issue for some. An intuitive remote and menu and stunning picture and sound is enough for me to over look this issue.

    Major wifi issues

    I seriously regret buying this TV. It won't connect to my home wifi or it randomly disconnects from the wifi. I have to unplug the TV multiple times each day to get the TV to connect to wifi. I've had this TV almost 1 month and these problems just started happening. This will probably be my last time buying a Samsung tv.

    Had to find a great quality tv to fit my antique entertainment center. This was the right pick for me. Looks ands sounds better than expected. User friendly during setup. Just can’t get my AT&T app to come up for HBO channels I can get on my phone. Other than that, I recommend this tv.

    My wife and I canceled cable TV, and were looking for a Smart TV that had YouTube TV built in. This 43” Samsung fit nicely into the cabinet space previously occupied by our old 40” Sony. Bigger, sharper, better picture, and a very easy to use remote with voice control.

    This TV will not disappoint. The Q series has features that got me to buy this as well as the 49" Q70. Both TV's produce vivid colors and the menu system is fast as well as easy to use. I have no regrets of buying these TVs.

    It's a great picture but the blacks are not true black like in some other high end models. That's the only negative comment I have. You can see some of the backlighting during dark moments in a movie or game.
