This is my first samsung tv and the first smart tv. For my surprise is a excellent tv, good shape, slim, good apps, good picture quality, the sound change depending the device you are using and this is bad, some case is very loud and other you can't listening. Im thinking to by a sound bar soon. The other really bad is the remote, it is a new generation of remote, no have numbers, just one pad, in some case is hard work with it and no function very well controlling other device like cable, the controller only accept three numbers (you can draw the number on the pad) so is hard to view HD Channel because it has 4 numbers. search in the cable guide is hard too, because you push the guide bottom and open the guide with the first page of the guide (channel 1 to 12) if you are seeing the channel 1000 and you want view whats next you need to find the 1000 first... that is very bad. You can access the DVR function with the remote but you can't programming recording with it, or is difficult to do, for the same reason of the guide. And the 3D is amazing. This TV is really good, is amazing, but do not expect to much with remote.

Purchased TV on special. More than I wanted to pay but after seeing the picture I had a hard time convincing myself that it was OK to get a lesser TV. Picture is amazing. Whether watching Game of Thrones or playing Titanfall (OK I don't my kids do) the quality and detail is so sharp you almost feel like you are there. It also comes packed with lots of features, like Wifi and 3D (haven't tried that yet, need 3D BD player). After using this TV it's tough to watch an old TV, feel like something is left out.

This TV is like a dream! The picture quality is great and setup was easy. I love the nearly edge less design. It's extremely thin and light. There are so many apps and features that make it fun. The voice control option makes this TV unique in my opinion. It comes with 4 pairs of 3D glasses and you can watch live TV in 3D.....something I was totally amazed with. I wasn't planning on spending as much as I did with this purchase, but I don't regret my decision at all.

The TV is capable of a great picture, but you may spend hours tweaking the picture configuration to get an optimal image. Read through these reviews and you will find some configuration recommendations. However, once you lock them in, you'll be the delighted by the bright and crisp picture and the good sound. I have the 8000 Series Samsung from about 5 years ago, and the image quality was perfect out of the box, so I know Samsung could have done a better job with the defaults. The remote is just weird to use -- some of the key functions are buried (you have to touch more than two commands to get to them). I miss having numbers on the keyboard face. This TV is not for someone who gets easily frustrated with technology.

Overall, an excellent TV. I went from a 60hz to a 240hz - so worth the upgrade!! The picture quality is stunning and with the numerous options, I can choose picture adjustments to fit the mood i.e. dynamic, movie, natural. This, in conjunction with the other picture enhancing options, allows me to create the type of picture I want easily. Internet connection and streaming is also seamless! Another fun option is the touch pad remote. Would highly recommend this TV.

The picture is great. The tv itself is very attractive. The features seem very good. The issue for myself and others my age is there is no hand held instructions to refer to while operating the tv. making it more confusing and stressful to operate.

Love the picture quality - colors jump out at you. 3D is fun. Appreciated the light weight when my husband installed on the wall bracket. Trim around the picture disappears - looks like the TV is part of the wall. Remote is easy to use.

This TV replaced an eight year old TV and it is stunning the difference. I have a 9000 Samsung in my entertainment room and the fact that I am as impressed with this little TV for my bedroom goes to show how nice it is. Thankfully I don't use the remote as it is the weakest link on the TV. I have no problems using it and I like that you can swipe it instead of using buttons, but it seems that Samsung is trying to get users into their way of doing things and it just doesn't work for non-technical people. I get endless questions about how to do things if others use the remote, so I just use a third-party remote. If you are technical and enjoy a different way of doing things (and I think it actually is a better remote), you will like the remote. But nowadays, with all the third party options, it is easy to overcome if you don't like it.

Great TV. I'm glad I purchased it. I actually like this older model (UN46F7100AFXZA) better then the new one. Had both models side by side at Best Buy and set all the picture quality specs identical to one another. I just preferred this older model because of the brightness. The new model was to dark for me.

Picture quality is very sharp and clear. I don't like the remote and find it difficult to use. The touchpad 'feature' reminds me of the BMW i-Drive which makes using infotainment system harder and slower. Yes, less buttons and clutter, but slower to click, click and click to get to the desired option. Even to input a number, you have to right-click, then swipe the number and hit enter. The remote's favorite button also failed me with less than two weeks of use.

I had to step up to this top of the line set when the less expensive model would not fit our furniture. Wise choice was to spend the $$ on technology instead of cabinetry. So glad we invested in the "smart" TV. Still learning about some of the features. But thoroughly enjoying streaming netflix, and have discovered some wonderful concerts on YouTube. The geek squad was able to make the installation and integration with our surround sound very easy.(More $$ well spent!) Picture quality, ease of operation, and learn-ability for some less-than-techie seniors can't be over-rated!

an amazing tv. the refresh rate makes the biggest difference, and the sharpness and depth of the picture makes me feel like i'm watching in 3-D - without using the four included 3-D glasses or having it turned on. i'm watching more tv and in awe because of it. the internet access is good, faster than the access my dvd player provides. the apps, at least the news apps, don't have the option to expand the 2-3 line headline, only to email the headline. very annoying. overall, we love this tv. really love this tv.

Really love the tv. Picture is great. Sound is good. Love being able to watch Amazon prime movies now. Only thing we didn't love was the fancy remote that came with this TV. Preferred the basic Samsung remote.

Picture is superior to prior LCD 120HZ Sony and best for its size. Needed to fit it in a built in nook area as its ultra thin size is about 3/4 inch less than others, and just fit. Expensive compared to others in the category and probably would have saved the money if another would have fit the space, but quailty is high. Hooked up easily to the internet. Would have liked qwerty keyboard instead of touchpad for ease of use. Very lightweight made it a lot easier to handle and setup.

We purchased a Samsung Smart TV in March of 2012 and by August of 2013 the main panel had blown out. There were static and lines and ghosted images all over the screen. The quote from Samsung for the replacement part was $1606.43. We would have to add the cost of labor to fix it. We also contacted Best Buy. We were charged $150.00 for the Geek Squad service call and were told there was nothing they could do. The TV lasted a total of 18 months. The support from Samsung on this was also horrible. We were disappointed since we had liked the picture and the features. Essentially, it was our problem to get it fixed or buy a new one.

This TV set up in no time at all, very simple. I am very happy with the picture quality, and the functionality is very intuitive. The sound is fair, but I added a simple sound bar/subwoofer combo to boost the quality. The remote control is simple to use. I am not really into the whole 3D thing, but my kids are absolutely enthralled with it. I have to admit is kind of cool. For the price point, it is hard to go wrong with this….

Excellent picture, great features, easy to use. Only thing I dont like about the TV is putting the stand on it and the remote. I dont like the touchpanel for using youtube and smart functions. Seems to go all over, instead of where I want it to. Otherwise this is a awesome tv and I would recommend to anyone

I purchased the 40" 240 Hz Samsung, 3D, Smart TV. I am impressed with the excellent picture quality and the ease of use. The voice command is a great feature. I installed this unit on the wall of my bedroom and hid the TV box and DVD player in the closet and can control them through the TV's remote and on screen menu's. This eliminates the need for the other remotes.

I looked at a lot of different brands. I chose this one for its picture quality and style. The 3D is great. I would recomend this model to anyone looking for a lot of bang for your buck!
