I love my new TV... I've had it for close to 2 months now and wanted to wait a lil before giving a review. It looks amazing especially when watching movies on my Blue-Ray Player. The colors look so realistic and couldn't be happier with the picture quality. My only disappointments are when watching sports. At least with my TV, the great picture quality seems to suffer a little when watching sports. Also, the stand is flimsy but other than that the TV is a good buy.

After researching all 40"+ flat screens, the Samsung 4K Ultra kept coming to the top of the list. And with the thorough demonstrations and explanations by the Best Buy Associate, I decided on the Samsung 48" 4K Ultra. The absence of any 'pixels' makes this picture so crisp, it is most realistic. With the built-in 3D, WiFi and clever remote control, this investment was well worth it.

I'm a very cautious buyer. I don't have much money. Brand names don't mean anything to me, I always look at the specs and the look of the picture and I do a pro's and con's list for 5 selected products regardless of type of Brand so I know exactly what I'm doing with my money. This TV is exactly what I was looking for. This TV is amazing in every way. Some people would say the price is to high and I could of paid less for something similar without the brand name of Samsung. Honestly, the picture was so amazing compared to anything. Specs don't mean everything, this particular picture it was so obvious that it had something that the others didn't. The price to me was worth it because it being a smart tv, where your actually able to add the apps you want, a lot of smart TV's you only have the apps that come with the Television. Also you have the 3D, which comes with 1 pair of glasses. You also have the Ultra HD function. There are also so many functions that I can't even name, because I haven't been able to use them yet. The Brand name did play in the decision, but very little, it was between this TV, and a different TV that I can't remember that wasn't as famous, but it didn't give me that wow factor, and it was only $130.00 cheaper, and to me spending the extra $130.00 to receive the wow factor, and also receive the customer support of Samsung, because of the Grade A Parts that they use, I knew I would have this TV for awhile, unlike the TV I bought previously which I was happy with, but only lasted about 1year and 8 months since purchase date. I'm a TV Junkie and this TV has already exceeded 5,100 hours of use. The TV usually receives about a 7 hour break, but sometimes it doesn't. I rate it a 8 1/2 for Gaming, 10 for Movies, 10 for sports. The Refresh Rate is great, and the Picture is amazing. For the price you can't go wrong with this choice, even if your a bargain hunter, it's worth putting up the few extra dollars for this tv, and just buying the warranty and your set. I love this TV. I hope I helped anybody in making this purchase for this television.

Everyone will tell you that you can't tell the difference between the 4k and normal HDTVs. And I always agreed. But, that was wrong! I have another Samsung TV (7series) that's a 60in TV that is a perfectly good smart TV and I thought it had fantastic picture. But, you can easily tell the difference in quality after you get use to watching it on this TV. The picture quality is amazing, darkest blacks and brightest colors I've seen on a lot of TVs. Smart TV functions still aren't perfect but they are incredibly better. The remove is great, you can use it like a pointer/mouse and its very responsive. Every now and then I run into a SMART TV issue but nothing that i would knock this great TV for. I definitely would recommend.. I mean, how often do you actually get a new TV!

I've never had a Samsung before so I was a little unsure at first. Bottom line is its a great tv. I already had a new tv so differences in picture is subtle but color is much better and picture is clear. Remote is Simple and the point and click for the menus are easy. Remote is so much better than my other tv. I chose this also because there are fewer 3D tv's now and it looks great. 1 active glasses is included. Apps like Netflix and Hulu are seamless. Upgraded my Netflix for 4d shows and picture is very clear. Sometime sound goes out when switching to recorded dvr shows but just switch back to regular channel and back to the recorded show. My other TV had the same issue.

The set took me literally 10 minutes to set up. Very intuitive interface. The SUHD picture is really impressive. My wife made the comment that it looked 3D. Took a while to get comfortable with the Smart Remote but have the hang of it now and actually prefer it over a standard remote. I'm replacing my Samsung TV I purchased 5 years ago with this SUHD model and moved the old one to our bedroom. I was a Sony owner for many years but prefer all of the Samsung products over Sony. Truly a well made product.

I went to buy a Sony and left with this Samsung SUHD. The appearance is great it blends in with its surroundings without scream hightech. The picture is great it really draws attention to pourly filmed or animated movies. Ice Hockey is fantastic on this TV which is something that is typically not the case. The universal remote is great. A good size fits in the hand and does everything you need of it. Finally that Samsung on / off jingle is gone. I am happy with this TV.

This TV has an excellent picture, with deep blacks and vibrant colors. It takes a little bit of tinkering to get the settings right, but I think it is worth it in the end- not that it wasn't pretty good right out of the box. I went from a Sony 550R, which I thought had a great picture, but this TV blows it away. And the Sony didn't handle sports motion as well (saw multiple footballs, golf balls and hockey pucks). No problem any more. The only problem now is some studded/judder when I replay some recorded material from my Directv DVR.
The Smart Hub works well and streaming Netflix and Amazon Prime is smooth.
Some people didn't like the mini connect box setup. I think it works well and is a nice solution.
I do not use the remote much, but it learns quickly. I still prefer my Harmony One.
I went from a 50 inch to this 48 inch, but don't notice the size difference anymore.
Again, great picture and I prefer it to the curved version (9000 series).
Can't wait for the HD Blu Rays and more 4K streaming with HDR. Then this TV will be even better.

This TV's image is even better at home than in the store. Perhaps it is because I'm watching some of the same programs that I watched on my old TV and the difference is quite remarkable. Besides a better picture, the sound, especially spoken words, seems more natural. It is almost like being on the set of the program and watching it live.
I also like the the internet connection. Watching YouTube videos on the big screen is so much better than on a PC.
Set up was easy and though it has lots of features, I have yet to access the e-manual. Using the menu is very intuitive.
Every product has a downside and the only one I've found thus far is that it does not run Flash (wanted to watch ESPN3). There is probably a work around, but haven't spent the time to figure it out yet.
Overall, I'm very pleased with my purchase and take pride in showing it off to my friends.

I have owned this TV for about 3 weeks now and I am extremely happy with it. First of all, the 4K picture quality is awesome! It's ability to upscale regular 1080p content is also superb. I even connected my Nintendo 64 and I have never seen Mario Kart 64 look this good...it looks like a Wii game! The downside is that currently there is not much 4K content available, but that is slowly going to change as time goes on.
In my opinion, the best upgrade to the TV is the software. I have a network attached hard drive so I frequently use DLNA to watch movies or listen to music on the hard drive. My previous Samsung TV from 2012 was unable to fast forward or rewind when streaming content via DLNA. You can imagine this would be very frustrating, especially if the movie stopped half-way for whatever reason. This new TV has the ability to pause, fast-forward, and rewind my content on the hard drive! Furthermore, the menus have been significantly upgraded. The software is definitely more intuitive and is far smoother than their previous attempts.
Another really cool new feature is the OneConnect mini. My TV is wall-mounted...so there's not much room in the back for cords/cables. On my previous TV, I had to purchase HDMI adapters that had 90 degree bends so that I could accommodate the cables. With the new TV, this problem has been solved. The HDMI ports, USB ports, and optical ports are all located on a separate small box called the OneConnect. It connects to the TV on the side, so there is no issue even for wall-mounted TVs. The fact that all the ports are now on a separate box make them far easier to access, and of course negates the need for any adapters.
The last thing I'll mention is the remote design. The remote is now a minimal design with far fewer buttons than previous iterations while preserving all of the functionality. The buttons on the remote are only the most essential but easily provide access to all of the features you may want to use. The mouse pointer is a nice addition which makes certain operations way easier (i.e. typing into a YouTube search bar).

Looks good, great pictures and features. I am happy with the set. It's a 48 inch version and just the right size for my needs. The sound is better than expected as having read "professional" online reviews, I had not anticipated it to be that good. If I have one issue it is that it could be brighter for a well lit room. Waiting on app development for more streaming and WiFi oppertunities. Smart features work way better than my earlier version set. I also own a 55" js7100 and find that excellent as well. I'm not sure I can tell much difference in the pictures between the two, but of course they are in different rooms.

I bought this about a month ago, and so far I have been impressed. Set up was easy, the picture is freaking awesome right out of the box, the sound is pretty decent, might get a sound bar down the road, the remote at first I thought it was so so, but after a while I was starting to get used to it. I haven't had a chance to try out the 3D yet as I'm waiting to purchase the new 4k blu-ray player, and the smart features are amazing. So if you're looking for a 4k tv, this is the one, and I promise you won't be disappointed.

I'm not a TV connoisseur, this being the first brand new TV I have bought for myself.
The color and quality of the TV are great. Netflix/Youtube looks much more crisp and cleaner on the TV than on my laptop. Speakers face the back but that hasn't been an issue for me since it's mounted in a medium size bedroom. Photos also look very good.
Setting up the TV is pretty straightforward as well. Some people complain about the remote, but it's like using a Wii remote that is activated when it senses your finger on the pad. Typing can be a pain with the remote, wish it came with a keyboard sometimes.

This picture on this TV is absolutely stunning. The colors are definitely over saturated out of the box but some tweaking in the menu can bring the picture back to more natural colors. My one complain would have to be the Samsung smarthub - it seems to be glitchy sometimes and somehow they think it is acceptable to put advertisements on a smart TV that you have paid for. Other than that, the TV is great. Really looking forward to more 4k content.

I did way too much research on 40"-50" 4K TV's and this one surpasses all of them. A little pricy since its a new model, but when compared to others like the new 48" Sony, the Samsung blows it away for picture quality, smart tv features and user friendliness. Its worth the extra money if you plan of having it for years. Also, the Samsung remote is much more streamline and fun to use. The sony remote has way too many buttons...

We replaced a 10 yr old HD model with this larger Samsung TV. So far, no complaints. It was easy to set up and install, even for us low tech experience grandparents! The picture color and clarity are so vivid the actors appear as though they are here in person. We have also viewed our vacation pictures on the screen and used the internet with relative ease.We were able to purchase this TV on the eve before Cyber Friday at a great price making this a sweet deal! I have already recommend this TV to a few family members who are looking for a new TV.

This Samsung is esthetically pleasing in design and has a great picture. I especially like the smart box mini used for set up. It provides connectivity to all your devices with no "bunched" wires running to the back and sides of the set. Just a power line and single connector wire. Brilliant! Check it out.
