I have to agree with the reviews that complain about the lines in the screen and pixelated mess that’s happening with this size and model (50-inch 6 Series). The reviews are very correct stating there is a glitch in the screen with tons of lines where you can’t even view the picture. You can hear the sound, but the picture looks like the old tube TVs with lots of distorted lines. I loathe having to load a product back up, but I agree with one review that I will exchange this for the 7 Series since I didn’t read any issues with the picture. I’m a dire hard Samsung TV owner and just happened to have purchased one that has a major glitch in the system that’s still circulating for sale in stores. I purchased this 50 inch along with a 43 inch to simply update TVs. The 43-inch 6 Series model seems to have no issues with the screen as the 50-inch 6 Series model does. Hope this helps anyone trying to decide on a model. Save yourself a could be headache and purchase the 7 Series.

My children first Smart TV. I like the fact we can stream movies and have less clutter with the Wi-Fi feature. It fits the room size for my children.

The TV seemed like an excellent value for the 50" size and I've always favored Samsung because they have always produced quality electronics. This TV has me rethinking... I bought it on January 12 and by January 15 the screen was showing a vertical green line (bad pixels?!) I've never experienced a TV go bad in such a short amount of time. I'm not going to mention who I spoke with but "they" said "they" have seen a larger than normal number of Samsung TV's being serviced for product defects. Needless to say, Best Buy was awesome with their return policy and I ended up buying another brand instead.

Do not buy this TV! We purchased it on sale at the end of the season (last years model.) It was a really good deal and we were excited to be getting a Samsung smart TV. As soon as we hooked it up we noticed many vertical lines from top to bottom in one portion of the screen. No matter what we did the lines stayed there. I went online to research the cause and see if there was an easy solution. Found it was a major flaw and would require an expert to fix it, if it could even be fixed. I have attached a picture. (Notice lines on left of screen) It's going back to Best Buy today. So disappointed.

Only lasted 3 years and now half of my screen is black. I loved it while it lasted.

I have had bad luck with this 50" tv shortly after I bought it. 1st problem was apparent about 2-4 weeks after purchase but was not annoying enough of an issue to return it (was probably after the return period anyways). The issue I had with this off the get-go pretty much was artifacts showing up down the center of the screen randomly. it's only there for a fraction of a second when it happens. The 2nd issue I have is a more recent issue where I have off-color pixels in the bottom right of my screen when I have whites showing it's a red a little below it on the bottom right. If I change the temperature to cool, it will seem to go away for now, but it's now showing up on more than just HDMI, it's moved to the TV+ (which mysteriously is not working while writing this review). I am working with support at this point and will try to remember to post an update of the results.
