Customers are saying

Customers consistently note the excellent picture quality and sleek design of the 50" Class The Frame QLED 4K UHD Smart Tizen TV (2022). Many appreciate the ease of use and the flat wall mount, which contributes to its aesthetic appeal. However, some users mention challenges with the remote control's functionality and the TV's software. A few customers also find the price point to be relatively high.

Really good tv and I specifically bought it to showcase my photos. Image is great and the ease of loading streaming apps along with installing, mounting, and connecting to power was really well designed. The SmartThings app could be better to allow easy uploading of photos. Overall I am pleased and would recommend as it won’t disappoint.

Great TV with flat mounting bracket included. I like how minimal the wire that connects the base and TV is, however I wish the connector ends were much smaller.

The display when off is beautiful and the picture when the TV is on is beyond what I expected. I would recommend to anyone interested or hesitant on the Samsung the Frame products! The only downfall was that the remote stopped working after a year and didn’t charge. I had to call a number to make a special request on the replacement for the remote.

We replaced our very old ~ 32 inch TV with a 50 inch The Frame. We don’t watch a lot of TV, and we picked The Frame because of how it looks when it is off, not how it looks when it is on. It’s been a month or so, and The Frame looks great when it is off, and a lot better than our old set when it is on. That’s why I gave four stars. The software that controls the TV is horrible though. That’s why I didn’t give five stars. It’s hard to upload your own images for art — it’s always the last option after a bunch of Samsung subscriptions. It’s not intuitive to organize your images. Nothing is intuitive. The default TV settings give movies the “soap opera effect.” The defaults seem to have to be overridden individually for every source, that is, you have to go through the same steps over and over for Netflix, Disney, etc. Maybe there are better ways I don’t know. The point is, the interface is clunky and unnatural. There are active user communities (like subreddit r/TheFrame). These are great places to lurk or post questions. Overall we are happy with The Frame. It’s not perfect, but it suits us.

Mount close to your wall just like a picture frame. Only one little inconspicuous cable connect to TV to the One Connect box. Excellent picture quality. Mediocre sound. Wall mount fairly easy. I was able to do it without the template or instructions. Smart things app requires too many taps. Needs to be simplify. Give us the option to turn Samsung TV off. Motion sensor will not work unless slide show duration is equal to or longer than sleep after timer. For example, if you set the sleep after timer to shut off at 5 mins. then your slide show duration also have to be at 5 mins or more. It cannot be at 3 mins. Apparently, when the slide show photo changes before the auto shut off time, it resets the auto shut off and the TV will not shut off. How hard is it for Samsung to fix this?

The remote is not responsive and the options are not intuitive. Navigating on screen can be a pain. The images on the tv are beautiful and I like the thin, lightweight design.

I was hoping it wouldn’t look like a tv but like an actual picture when on standby. Still feels like a tv that is on. Sounds and visual quality are great for a tv though.

This is a great TV with great picture quality. The QLED frame is nothing short of revolutionary, boasting vibrant colors, razor-sharp clarity, and breathtaking contrast that make every frame burst to life with unparalleled brilliance.

Looks great on the wall, perfect for the bedroom or somewhere else you don't want the feel of an obnoxious TV! Easy to hang and assemble. -1 star because if you are capable of or already have cable/electric wired for a TV in your wall you still have to use the box included (basically the size of a larger cable box). If we had gotten a regular smart TV, everything would have been hidden and tucked away. Now I have to keep the box on my dresser - not cool. I've spent hours researching and there's no way to bypass this, even if you don't want to hook up a Soundsystem or anything else. Picture quality is not OLED quality, but great.

I’m excited about this wall art TV that but can’t seem to find the frame bezels that make the frame more rich looking. BB store said it comes with black but nothing included in the box. Are they discontinued?

Wonderful picture display/ability to conceal the TV in a formal living room. Does seem like the frame and more pictures should be included free given that this is the whole point of this TV.

Frame TV Great - Unhappy about set up service

The TV is wonderful IF you have knowledge and skill to set it up and are lucky enough to get good sales staff and set up people. Our salesperson didn't tell us we needed to have batteries on hand for the enclosed remote - there were no provided instructions and the "Geek Squad" people that were to deliver and install only set up the TV so is basically worked. We had to figure out how to use the Frame feature on our own. Lucky for us we had one in a previous home and borrowed those instructions. In our first home the Geek Squad that delivered and installed the TV did the set up with me. I must say one of the Geek Team was willing do be helpful - the other seemed rushed.

It’s a good quality tv, but the overall menu setup is a little annoying and I can’t add certain apps to replace the main ones on the menu that I don’t use. So it’s really annoying to have to go back and try to find that app. Also, trying to turn off the tv overall since I haven’t hung it up to use the frame feature, it switches to that feature, but you have to pay a fee for different pictures.

    Poor bluetooth on the Frame

This is the 2nd frame I purchased so I like the idea however I got new hearing aids and was excited to find they pair with the bluetooth on the frame while still aving optical output for the sound bar. Dissappointingly though the bluetooth connection is poor and drops out if I turn my head or move on the sofa. This is an issue that others seem to have with quality headsets also. It has been identified to Samsung and as yet no fix.

Great TV just wish there was an option for the TV to not default to the picture screensaver when turned off. It takes turning it off twice to actually be off. Also not a fan that you have to pay a subscription for the wallpapers.
