My son bought a 55 inch samsung so I knew what to expect. I have not tested the 3d option yet as I cannot find the dvd I finally got it connected to Internet and Amazon Prime movies. Nice unit, I would buy it again so far.

We get compliments every time someone comes over on how great the picture quality is! Won't buy anything but Samsung when it comes to TV's! 4 in the house now and this one replaced one that was struck by lightening.

The quality of the picture and, especially the 3D capabilities, made this a very worthwhile investment. The setup of this TV was a little more challenging than I expected, due to the number of options. The remote only has a few buttons, so you have to get used to navigation. Once you get past that, the menus were mostly intuitive, at least in my opinion, but there are a LOT of options. A good read on google and I was able to adjust the TV to my liking. I do suggest adjusting the Auto Motion Plus to reduce the "soap opera effects" - I found "Clear" to be the best compromise setting.

So far I can say that this tv have been the most amazing one of all. Crystal clear image. Great sound. I love the remote control. Finally can control everything with just one control. So far I'm in love with it.

We checked with Consumer Reports and decided to purchase either a Samsung or Sony TV. This is our first flat screen TV. After looking at several models at Best Buy we chose this Samsung TV. Set-up was relatively easy and the pairing with our cable box and remote turned out to be easier than expected. We've had our TV for about a month and it looks terrific. It would have been nice to have slightly easier to read hardcopy instructions, but that's probably my age-related preference showing.

I'm really happy with my 8500 series tv. The colors are vibrant and it wasn't that hard to setup (speaking specifically about the colors, but the TV in general was easy too). It was missing a screw though. :/

I love this tv! I have wanted a 3D for a long time. Would have preferred one without smart but none come that way anymore. Regardless, this TV is awesome!!!

After much research we decided on this TV. We liked the very thin profile, size, and picture quality. Originally bought a smaller less expensive model but returned it right away for this. Worth the extra money.

Graduating from a Samsung DLP to this system; sensational (can not even remember what a tube looks like). The picture quality is extreme, especially in sports mode; Great color and clarity! Smart TV integrates into you WIFI home nicely...soo much more to explore. Remote is IT, handheld mouse and voice control soo functional. I went from a "50" inch to the 55 inch and was perfect for my room...truly 54.xx inch; 65 inch would have been too much. DO IT, you won't look back.

My Samsung 58" plasma which was eight years old just died suddenly. I went to Best Buy and after looking long and hard at numerous TVs picked the 55" SUHD. After getting home and setting it up, I found a review from Sound & Vision on this set along with calibrations they did. I used the same and the picture is perfect! I never thought I could get a better picture than my old plasma set but this beats it hands down.

This TV has outstanding picture quality.I put it in my bedroom but was concerned it would be too big.My other choice for the same model would have been 48".I am so glad I went with the 55". It is perfect!!

The picture quality is great, and so is the refresh rate. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone else. The price was definitely competitive

Great Tv. Samsung is the best, beautiful picture. Only thing I don't like is Silver edge but have gotten used to it after a couple weeks of owning the tv.

The picture is so clear that friends & family often debate if it's better than real life.

I'd been thinking of moving my beloved Panasonic Plasma 50 inch to the basement for a couple years and going with a 4K LED but wanted something with an excellent motion rate that was under $1,200 or so. I'd seen this late 2015 model Samsung before but initially bought a curved 55 inch open box model also built in late 15 that was even cooler looking on the wall than this but had some light bleed along the edges so I returned it. Luckily I found this in store and for only $950 which was a great deal considering the only thing comparable still avail is probably the 8000 series which is $1,400 currently. The only frustration is that the Onebox is a pain to deal with and I had to strap it to the back of the set as the cord for it is only 7 feet long and wouldn't reach thru my wall to where my DVD Satelliet etc... are- I had to just run one HDMI cable into it from the receiver - kinda defeats the purpose.. So on to this TV- its picture is amazing and the motion rate is now finally comparable to a plasma so sports have zero blur. It's slightly less saturated from the side but still looks great. The Netflix and Amazon apps work very well once you get used to them. Very Very fast. 4K stuff on Netflix and Youtube is completely amazing. Wish there was more. Directiv looks good for most programs but really little to no better than my 2010 Plasma but thats a Directv issue not this TV from what I can tell. Color is a bit improved but overall picture largely the same as the plasma but thats not 4K content. Sports look good but until they broadcast them in 4K I can't say they've improved that much. Gaming is also solid- my kids love it. Speakers are also really pretty decent for a flat screen but I mostly run it through my receiver. I'm very happy with it overall

I purchased this Samsung 55" 4K UHDTV in May 2015. I also purchased a different Samsung model 65" HDTV in Dec 2014 (it was not a 4K model). Although I like the 65" HDTV, this 4K UHDTV has a superior & outstanding screen. It is an absolutely beautiful, bright, colorful & clear screen. And the Geek Squad installer did a great job mounting & installing the TV to our bedroom wall. I definitely recommend this UHDTV.

After much review and waiting for a price drop, finally took the plunge. And so glad I did! Great picture and easy to set up. Love the remote too!

This tv is amazing!! Colors are incredible. Easy to setup. Love the simple remote. Would and will buy another!!

Although TV programs are still at the 1080i/1080p level, this TV does an excellent job of upgrading the signal to enjoy in ultra HD. It is amazing!

This is my second SAMSUNG smart 4K LED 3D tv. I love the first one so much, tho a year older...I decided to purchase another one to upgrade my tv in the den. Also was fortunate enough to find the second one on sale. Everything about this tv is excellent. I hooked it up to my BOSE home theater system and WOW what an awesome tv/movie watching experience! I recommend this tv to anyone wanting a high quality tv and if you can catch it on sale, even better.
