This tv has the best picture of any reasonably priced UHD 4K on the market. The smart hub software is only okay. It can lag and be a bit buggy at times. But once you're watching a show/movie you don't care about the interface. Stop reading reviews and just buy this tv, you won't find a better picture than this.

I had to make a last minute purchase to replace a TV that finally bit the dust. The picture on this is outstanding and super clear. Setting up the tv was very easy and I was up and running in no time! The 3D option was not something Thai I was particularly interested in but now that I've used it on this tv, I will be looking for 3D compatible versions of movies going forward

I originally purchased the UN60JS7000FXZA I loved the size but the jutter on some broadcast tv shows was unbearable so I returned it and downsized to this un55js8500. Oh my was it an upgrade. Better blacks, no jutter, the best 3d I have ever seen. I can't wait for UHD Blu Ray to come out in march.

Looked at many tv's and places to purchase.and this model had all up to date features and was easy to incorporate into the AV system in our new home. Tv was easy to set up and does a great job with sports and movies. We look forward to using the built in smart features to watch the content they make available to us. Good price and excellent service from the Best Buy staff.

Excellent TV! It's got beautiful crystal clear images, sound is awesome, along with tons of features. Internet browser is just like it is on a computer, only thing it lacks it's a java player for media playback. But it has alot of apps to compensate for it. I would definitely recommend this product.

I bought this TV not expecting it to be as great as it is. The reviews left me up in the air. I bought it anyways and thought its fine for the bed room. Well WOW was my first response. This is definitely the best TV I have purchased by far. I would love a bigger size for my living room. The internet is very easy to navigate, especially if you use the pointer. I got right on netflix and you tube easily. I was also able to check my emails form here. The colors are great as expected from a samsung tv. The refresh rate is awesome, I was able to watch Football and not see any lag on the TV. The silver around the screen does not bother me at all. When I am watching the TV i did not notice it and I made an effort to see if it would distract me. When its off it frames it nicely. I would recommend it to friends and family alike.

I replaced my 6 year old Samsung with this model and I'm really enjoying all the features and the great picture. It's sleek and slim so it looks great mounted on my wall. The internet functionality works perfectly via WiFi. The controller interface is super user friendly so it didn't take any time figuring out how to navigate around. I definitely recommend this TV.

After a couple of months of comparing many TV's, I firmly believe this is the best 55" flat TV available for the money right now. No issues at all out of the box....fantastic picture and about as future-proof as you can get right now.

The sleek look and picture quality were consistent with my expectations. Installation was quick and easy with no issues to date. So, bottom line, the product has been great. On the other hand, the whole process of ordering the product and dealing with multiple levels of customer service was a nightmare. Took call after call and hours and hours. Painful!!

Great picture, like looking thru a clear window. Make sure your cable/DirectTV/U-verse etc box is on the proper setting (1080, which is the highest setting for my ATT U-verse) to ensure you get the full 4K up-scaled picture. The 3D is really cool and not like the theater, which caused me stomach upset...not on this home 3D view! Highly recommend. :)

The most stunning colors and depth. I see details on movies I play on this tv that I never saw before. The new remote control and on screen are more like using s computer than a tv and are so easy to set up. To add components such as blu ray player or satellite box has never been easier. The picture will just keep you saying look at those colors.

We have had this TV for about a month. The picture is the very best; the reds pop. The Smart features are much more convenient than using the PS/3 we were using previously. The sound is decent, but doesn't compare to a good surround system. We have not tested the 3-D feature, but we didn't buy it for 3-D. We are very happy that we bought this TV.

Very nice TV with outstanding picture quality when viewing HD content. I find that it is easy to navigate to all the functions and enjoy the remote with the pointer function that makes selecting options very convenient. One big problem though is the TV stand - it is crooked, causing the TV to tilt with one side lower than the other. I have had the TV replaced two times and the current one is slightly tilted but I can live with it. Samsung has a bad manufacturing or design flaw with the stand that they need to fix ASAP. The stand is not adjustable so the only remedy is to replace the entire TV which is costly, time consuming and irritating for all parties. I purchased the set from Best Buy and also purchased the extended warranty. Their support has been excellent. Although I really like the TV I can't recommend this set because of the TV stand problem.

We are very happy with Samsung TV's, this is our second 8000 series TV, love the smart TV features, the pictures are crisp, the TV is light and was easy to hang and install, hooked right up to our Universal Remote, amazing.

This TV is a great size and the full array back-light makes for very bold colors. However, sometimes I feel like the picture isn't as clear as it should be. And when playing some video games, I've noticed the very bottom of the screen will blur. I've also had the TV freeze while watching Netflix and it randomly turned off on me once. Occasionally, when you first turn the TV on the picture color will be pink/blue and takes a few seconds to normalize. Probably the biggest bother is that my stand is crooked. Perhaps I got a bad unit. It's a shame the exchange policy is only 15 days because now I'm stuck with it. Overall, I like the TV but for how much I paid, I expected to be blown away and I'm not. I'm just as impressed with my $700 1080p LG TV as I am with this one. Given the chance to do over, I would probably purchase a less expensive model.

My husband and I went on a search for a new living room television. We came across this smart TV and we are absolutely in love. Everyday we find someone new the television can do. It has so many great features and of course it looks sleek and modern on our wall.

This television is fantastic. The color is stunning. The image is clear and vivid. Smart hub is easy to work with. I like the pointer. Handles like a WII remote. Controller feels like it needs more to it though. Has built in wifi and Bluetooth. I like the connect mini for easy access, but only one pair of 3d glasses. Looks smooth when watching regular tv at 120hz-240 clear motion rate. Has the Nano crystal color and peak illuminator pro to compete with the LG Oleds. Onboard seakers are good. 4k content is lacking but it's the future and this tv is HDR compatible. After weighing many options for a month, this was the best investment and the best price. Always buy a tv at the store. Great customer service by Gabe in Downers Grove, IL.

I love me purchase. Only issue I have is delivery, it was dropped and there was noticeable damage to the package and styrofoam with styrofoam pushed into the product. Other than that, the product itself is amazing, I love the smart TV aplocation and how it reacts (pointer remote). Will recommend Samsung to all of my friends.

i originally i bought ju7100 and decided to spend the extra money and return it for the js8500 and im so glad i did the picture is so much better. im a big 3d fan and the 3d on this tv compared to ju7100 is amazing great buy best tv i have owned
