Great picture quality. Perfect size for space (16 x 14 room). Simple to use remote with limited number of buttons make it easy for everyone. Thin and looks nice hanging on the wall. Bought in 2016, so looking to upgrade as newer apps not available on this older model.

Product is great, but no legacy connections

First, we all know that there is next to zero 4K broadcasting but I decided to go for the future. The picture quality is outstanding, the viewing angle very wide, and the audio is adequate. I had a short term problem with not being able to get to the hub, or home, location. The problem cleared itself up after a few weeks and all it well. Also, I had a one pixel high horizontal line running all the way across the screen which was not even noticeable except on a solid, one color picture. Samsung first tried to trouble shoot the problem over the phone. When that didn't work, they promptly sent someone to my house that replaced the screen unit. As they say, "Sh** happens" -- so it's nice when the company stands behind their product. One deletion that I don't like, and the reason for 4 stars, is that there are no legacy I/O connections. Have an old VCR or DVD with RCA audio/video outputs or other A/V outputs? Too bad, no ports for the TV, it's HDMI or optical sound; you'll need conversion gear or buy new components. At least, unlike some newer TV's, there is an antenna input - a must if you use digital, over the air reception - and it's on the Samsung connect-all box that sits remotely from the TV resulting in only one cable running to the TV. Nice if you're going to hang the TV on a wall. I am in the market for another TV for our other home and Samsung will be my first choice. CAUTION: Like many TV sets, the Samsung can be controlled via voice commands. This opens you up to unauthorized monitoring, even when the set is off, according to hackers. However, you are able to just turn this "feature" off.

I love this TV!! Hands down passes all my expectations. The only thing that has caught me off guard is the OneConnect cable at the back of the TV. You don't plug in the HDMI cables individually, but into the OneConnect controller. It's very easy to setup. Light-weight so it's easy to mount. The remote is very easy to use - controls both TV and my Cox Communications cable box.

The 4k Samsung KS8000 LED delivers a great picture quality. Its design is simple yet high-end. From the chrome finish to its glossy back, this TV leaves an impression. It does a good job with low quality content too like for standard cable TV and DVDs. Deals very well with reflections and can get bright to suit even the brightest room. One Connect Box makes the connection very easy.

I debated back and form between this and a Sony TV. I was a little concerned about how the Sony would mount given the attachments for wall mount seem to be at the bottom of the set. Unless there is a bracket to offset this the Sony would effectively be mounted higher and would not fit in my cabinet. I have owned many Samsung TVs and they have all been reliable so I pulled the trigger on it. There are many reviews already that describe the length of the bolts needed to mount this TV, 50mm I think. This length is not typically included with wall mounts but fortunately I had some at home. The picture on the Samsung is excellent with no light bleed. I searched for settings on the avs forum and got the TV tuned well. The remote is simple and does the job. Only issue I have is with sound output for HBOGo. I currently have theTV connected to a Vizio soundbar. When I logged into HBOGo for the first time the other day I did not get sound from the sound bar. There are some sound setting changes which may correct this but have not had a chance to try them yet.

Had been watching this TV for some time to see if the price dropped. Finally got it on sale at Best Buy. Kept showing not in stock but I happened to go by the store for something else. Had two in stock. Salesman said trucks were coming in daily and inventory was hard to keep accurate. Took it home and got neighbor to come over to help unmount old TV and mount new TV. Had to go to hardware store to get new bolts as the ones that mounted old TV were to short to use with the brackets that come with this TV. Got it mounted and picture was/is great. Had a bit of trouble getting Netflix sound to play through my home system. Couldn't find anything on the internet that would help. Went to the Yamaha site for my system and it stated that you had to use the ARC HDMI port. Worked great. Have been pleased with the TV. I like to watch college football and it is a great pic. Can see the football during the passes. The 4k TV almost appears 3D. People and items seem to stand out and not appear flat. Hope it lasts as long as my last Samsung.

This 4k tv is incredibly clear with dark blacks and blindingly white whites. As soon as you turn on the tv you instantly get immersed into the colours. Had a hard time playing games/ watching movies because of how distracting the visuals are. Though it has a hefty price tag, this product just shows why Samsung is leading the TV market. If i had to sum this product in one word, it would be "incredible."

I did extensive research before making my purchase as I hated the picture of my 4K Vizio E-series TV and outside of purchasing the LG OLED, the Samsung 8000 series is the best TV. The 9000 series is too expensive and not a major improvement over the 8000 series. TV looks great when watching movies, playing videos, streaming, etc. HDR videos look amazing. Worth the money.

All the features are great and very easy to use. Since we had it wall mounted, we choose to have the Geek Squad team do the installation and setup. We were more than satisfied with the end result and they were a pleasure to have in our home. They could not have been more careful with everything they did. We've had the Squad do several things for us and have been satisfied every time. We've been pleased with our Samsung, as we have been with our past 2 Samsung TV's. I must add that the fear of poor picture quality on a LED when viewing from an angle does not present it self on this TV.

Bough the 55 inch TV. I was originally going to get the KU model as I liked the gunmetal bezel more - however, with the sales price and comparing the overall picture - I picked the KS model. Not a difficult choice if one is comparing the picture quality. Remote is easy to use and love how the one-connect doesn't require me to plug multiple hdmi cable to the actual TV.

I love this TV, great picture, so responsive for gaming. I do not even really notice Edge Lit local dimming. The best blacks in this price range for sure. The Samsung KS8000 is the best buy for a TV in this price range if you want to use it for multiple usage. Not a lot of other TVs can compete with its high picture quality, number of features and asking price.

I decided to buy this TV after i bought my PS4 pro and I can tell you it is an amazing tv. The quality, design and features are perfect. The sound provided from the tv is something really good. I saw a lot of people complaining about the sound but in my opinion, after some tests, it has a good bass for a slim TV. until the moment no problems. excellent for the price.

Highly recommend this 4K TV. Bought a cheaper one first, but was disappointed with the picture. We wanted to be blown away. Went back to Best Buy and with their help ended up with this TV. We were not disappointed. This TV has a beautiful picture, a true 4K, the high dynamic range makes all the channels look outstanding. Definitely worth it to pay the extra money.

This TV surpassed all my expectations. It's so clear and bright, the blacks are dark and it's smooth! There is virtually no warm up time and all my devices connect seamlessly (including my 4K Xbox One S). Always loved Samsung TVs and they didn't disappoint. Icing on the cake was they price matched immediately. Best Buy has earned some points with this customer.

I did research the Samsung 55" class Smart TV, prior to purchasing it. My wife and I went to the retail store to view it and found the exact model we were looking for. The sales person was helpful and made our purchase easy. We have had the TV for 10 months and have been very happy with all of it's smart features and the incredible picture it displays.

We purchased the Samsung 55" LED 4K Ultra HD TV about a month ago to replace a 10 year old plasma TV.. We are very pleased with clarity of the picture and ease of use. I agree with the reviewer who said that it feels like you are right there on the set with the film crew. Also the transition from TV to internet is done smoothly. Very happy with the purchase.

I bought this UHD set after reading Consumer Reports reviews. It has the great picture I wanted and also the Smart TV attributes that I had previously only been getting though my Blu-Ray player. I bought a Samsung because higher-rated UHD LG TVs were too expensive and so far I'm happy. I have not had it long enough to give a true review because reliability is as important as quality and Samsung TV reliability has gone down hill over past few years. I have my fingers crossed that this one lasts for a while.

Love the really clear picture and graphics. Neat to have functionality allowing web surfing, Netflix, Hulu, games and more. Ones we've setup were all fairly easy to do. Keyboard and other blue tooth devices easy to setup too. Issue: PlayStation game controller works, but only after shutdown and restart - each time. Not sure whether Samsung or Sony though.
