Great product, price and can take the place of laptop. Also can connect via Bluetooth with the tablet for sure and possible other devices that we have not been tried.

This TV is a replacement for my previous Samsung TV, the LN52A750 model. Pros: This 55" TV, even though having a bigger viewable screen size than the 52", is much lighter and thinner, which is a huge plus. In the box, the 52" model has to be carried by two people, while the 55" can be carried by one person quite easily. This is due to the internal components being slimmer, and the base not being as large. This TV has a 240Hz refresh-rate, which is twice as fast as the 120Hz I had before. I can definitely tell the difference, as fast motion on screen is not blurred with this model. This is a Smart TV, which my previous model was not. The LN52A750 has 1GB of built-in Flash memory, but the contents were not easily changed. The memory was for a few built-in special applications, such as a picture slideshow for parties, and a built-in children's storybook. This Smart TV also has 1GB of memory built-in, but allows for the installation of applications from the Samsung App Store, which brings me to one of my FAVORITE features: This TV has a built-in Wireless LAN adapter, which was ONLY available through a proprietary Samsung USB adapter with the previous model, which was NEVER available. Sure, both TVs have an Ethernet jack, but with WIFI built-in, I had it connected to my Wireless-N network within a few minutes with the easy on-screen display. I do not mount my TVs to the wall, so the next benefit is a swivel base. I am familiar with the older models that did have a swivel base, but my old 52" TV had a stationary base, which made it more difficult to work with the cables in the back. Both TVs have inputs on the back and the side, but it's much easier with a swivel base. Easy-to-program universal remote: most TVs and set-top boxes come with universal remotes now, but are usually very difficult to program, involving complicated key-presses and learning from existing remotes. This TV connects to the internet and downloads the codes to the remote that correspond to whichever device you use. I was able to type in the model of my satellite receiver, and the remote was instantly programmed. Even though I haven't used this feature yet, I had to include it due to how awesome it is: USB ports with built-in HID drivers. This means that you can connect a USB keyboard and mouse into the TV and use the TV just like a regular computer connected to the Internet! I plan on purchasing an extra keyboard and mouse just for this purpose! Finally, I LOVE the fact that the TV's user manual is built-in, and I can read the basic manual on-screen. I downloaded the PDF manual from Samsung's site, but it's almost 700 pages, and having a basic on-screen manual is very handy! Cons: The first thing I noticed with this TV is that it doesn't have as many inputs as my LN52A750 had. The 52" TV had 4 HDMI inputs, VGA, Component Video, and a few A/V inputs as well. This TV has 3 HDMI, VGA, and a combination Component Video or A/V input with the same set of inputs. This was a drawback to me, as I have many Audio/Video devices, but I don't have a receiver yet. Another thing that was different with this model is that the power and A/V inputs are switched in the back from my previous model. When I arranged my room with all my devices, I put them on one side of the TV, and the power cord was long enough to plug into my Home Theater Surge Protector. With this TV having the jacks switched, I had to play around with the multiple cables I have to find a solution that worked. All-in-all, this TV is a MUCH better model than my previous TV, and I have to say that my LN52A750 was the best TV of its time. When I see TVs on display at different stores, I use my TV as a base comparison, and I have found that this UN55ES6100 is such a great value for the price, and has higher quality than most of the other brands I have seen! Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Realistic color, Lightweight Cons: fewer inputs than expected

I did a lot of research on line and in the Best Buy store near me before deciding on this model Samsung 55" Smart TV with wireless internet capability but without any 3-D, for which I have no use. I have had my TV for about two months now and the picture quality from my ancient roof top antenna is remarkable for the clarity of the 40 plus channels I receive, most in HD. I replaced my high quality DVD player with an inexpensive Samsung Blu Ray player connected with a single optical cable and this TV now plays my DVD movie collection with incredible picture quality upgrade. Even more, the playback of my VHS tape movies from a separate VHS Sony player, many in black & white, has been substantially upgraded as well. The only design feature that could be better is the placement of the TV's speakers, which face down and away from the viewer, causing one to raise the volume almost to the full limits in an ordinary room. The thin frame of the screen would not be harmed in looks by making the bottom part a little wider to accommodate front facing speakers. I plan to add a 5.1 wireless sound bar system as a sound upgrade for watching movies anyway. For regular TV watching the sound is fine. The user friendly remote is a great feature on this TV. When connected to other Samsung video and audio products everything is read automatically and easily programmed. I love the ease of switching back and forth from TV to movies with one remote only. I recommend this model Samsung to anyone choosing a 55" screen size and not interested in 3-D features.

My Samsung Plasma bit the dust in the middle of the NFL playoffs so I was lucky there was a big sale because I needed a TV. I have bought Samsung for years, but have many friends with Sony's and I have a mid-level LG LED to compare it to. This is our main TV so we use for presentations, gaming, family movie nights. I compared my Samsung plasma to others and visitors remark how clear my picture was, but the difference between that and the LED 55 were so striking, I don't know what they will say now. It is sharp, bright, crisp, and has so much detail, you can see the cheesy effects in digitaly reseampled older films. Games are more vivid and movement is more fluid. Sports viewing is so good I left a superbowl party where they had a Sony at half-time to watch on my own TV--it's that good. Samsung just can't be touched these days for picture. I am not a big tree-hugger but I do like to save money, so the power-saving features are important. This model shows actual power usage off the info button and it is amazingly low, without sacrificing picture quality. My only complaint is that you set power-saving (which affects picture brightness) separately from picture quality, so you end up bounching between two different option menus to get the mix you want. When you do get it set, it is awesome, but it took me three session of bouncing back and forth to get what I wanted. The sound is good, but we use surround sound dolby 5.1 through our tuner, so it is not a big deal. I was impressed that you can leave the TV speakers on and don't get the delay you usually get between TV and tuner in this scenario. You really get a choice of smarttv or 3-D, in this range. I didn't want 3D, so we got the smart functions. I stream blu ray and Netflix through my PS3, so I don't need the smart functions, but I imagine they work as advertised. Can't say either way. I wish Samsung kept the old computer video input. You can use HDMI, but those cords are short, expensive, and only newer computers have HDMI output. Setup and instalation was very fast; I love the auto-off feature with no activity for X hours. Basically IMO you will not get a better pricture for the price in this category.

I bought this as they were brining in new model year so I got a good price. This TV has been everything the description said it was. Picture is great and the TV is lightweight, thin, and easy to set up. Cursor movement on the web access is cumbersome and slow, but to be expected using a TV remote. Nice to have easy access to Netflix without a gaming system. Sound is OK but I use an external sound system for movies. Great TV for the price.

Replaced my Samsung 46" slim LED with this 55" slim LED model. Outstanding picture and features. Smart features are smarter than me. Wi-Fi an excellent plus! My biggest drawback is the HDMI, Power cord, and other plug-in receptacles do not allow for close-in clearance when mounting on the wall. I hung my Samsung TV on Samsung's recommended Ultra Slim Wall Mount kit. No problems with my older 46" because all HMDI inputs were side receptacles and power cord was flush mount. The newer 55" only have 2 USB and 1 HDMI side receptacles, all the rest of the connections are directly straight into rear of TV, thus not allowing enough clearance with Samsung's own mounting kit. I had to offset the wall mount hardware further off the wall to accommodate without damaging cords. Bad design for minimal clearance for wall mount. Other than mounting issues, will definitely recommend Samsung Slim LED. My future replacement will definitely be another Samsung Slim LED, but will be bigger and 240 Hz.

My wife and I were in the market to buy our first flat screen TV. This model fit all of our needs and then some. We love the built in Internet and use it all the time for Netflix and Pandora. The picture is great and the slim profile is very slick.

Visited my local Best Buy before I purchased it. Was drawn to this model as I thought it had one of the nicer pictures. Waited a few days to see if the price would improve due to an upcoming holiday sale. During these few days I did some research and most everyone online gave it an excellent rating. As this was my first BIG SCREEN TV I wanted to make sure I did my homework. The TV did not disappoint. Only knocks it got was set up and sound. The set up could not have been any easier. I never even opened the book. TV walked you through the initial setup including the wireless connection. It was up and working in a matter of minutes. Sound......its not bad at all. When you put it in Movie mode I think it sounds great.....might still get a sound bar but its not a necessary purchase. I would buy this TV again.

Love this TV. Great picture, easy set up and the Smart TV feature is why I purchased this one opposed to to the stripped down model. If i had to pick a negative, it would be the sound isnt the best, but I accented it with the Samsung HWE-450 sound bar subwoofer setup, now it's perfect. I originally purchased the HWE-550 since is was more streamlined, but came to find out the wireless subwoofer isnt wireless as claimed. It was the opposite, all wires must be plugged into it. So I returned it and got the 450 and everything is great. I would also have chosen the stand of my previous Samsung TV with the clear post and flat base if their was a choice, opposed to the quad leg stand which isn't the most attractive. Otherwise, I would completely recommend this Samsung unit.

This is our 4th Samsung TV and we wouldn't look at another brand. This TV has a wonderful picture and it fits beautifully into our entertainment center. Our last TV was 50" and this one is 55", yet they both fit the same space due to the thinner frame on the newer model. If you are going to watch movies a lot and want the "big sound", you'll want to get a sound bar. We don't like surround sound so the speakers on the tv itself work well for us. It was easy to set up, and we were able to use the additional HDMI outlet to install our Apple TV. We don't use the Smart TV area much except for Pandora (which if you had the sound bar would probably be awesome).

We are very happy with the purchase of this tv especially for the sale price we paid...yea black friday! The picture quality is crystal clear & the tv is super slim. It has all the right smart tv features & we had no problems connecting to our wi fi. The only minor issue I have noticed is the sound is has to be turned up at a much higher volume than our old samsung. I have read some people's compaint about it, but it is no more troublesome than picking up the remote & turning it to a higher volume. I would absolutely recommend this tv to others.

We purchased the tv to replace our 42" projection. We are happy with the purchase, but there are some things we wish were nicer, coming from Samsung. The picture is good. It has a very nic.e thin design. Easily programmable to my sat remote. We bought this particular tv for the internet capabilities, but the web browser seems slow and the apps you can download are difficult or not available to download. Because of the nature of the tv (very slim and very thin frame around the picture) the speakers point down. The overall tv sound is terrible. I'm not looking for theater sound from a tv, but I also don't want to deal with aux speakers all the time just to watch a show. It's a good tv for the price. As the integration of tv and internet grows, I will hope for improvements with the speed of web browser, ease of download of apps.

I went from a 32" that I had to get out of bed to see the scores from 14' away. Now I watch shows, games ,tournaments , action movies everything with nary a squint. I had great help at Best Buy picking the set that met my needs and the Geek Squad set it up on the wall. I may never leave the room. Great sound, easy to operate and the best picture there is.

I am thoroughly satisfied with this purchase. The picture quality is excellent, and it was easy to get it hooked up to my wireless Internet connection. I have my own stereo sound system, so I'm not sure about the sound quality of the TV itself. It has lots of features I haven't even explored yet, but I use it to listen to Pandora frequently and watch movies on my external hard drive. The remote control is a little bit of a hassle, when I need to log on using the "keypad" on it, but otherwise this is a great TV.

We read a lot of the reviews before buying this TV, but maybe there has been software updates since those negative reviews because we love our new TV. The features are outstanding, the picture is great, and the download speeds are fantastic! Granted, we use a RJ45 instead of WiFi, but our Netflix and Hulu stream just great! We also like the Anywhere+ feature as it turns on and shuts off other devices that are connected via HDMI cable. This is our 2nd flat screen Samsung TV and we love it!

Beautiful picture and more narrow bezel is more reasonable than the old models by Samsung. Incredibly thin and yet sturdy. As connectors to plug in cables are at 90 degrees 'straight out of back of TV' can see how those who want to hang it on the wall would be frustrated. Not an issue for us, as we prefer to set it ontop of a table.

Overall ver satisfied with this purchase. This HDTV replaced a 52" Sharp that had serious issues with digital out. This Samsung connected to my new sound bar with no issues at all. The built in speakers are worthy of praise in and of themselves. This HDTV can connect to Netflix and Amazon faster than when I try to get there through my DVD/WIFI system. Super easy to set-up. Strongly recommend this product!
