The first tv which I kept for about 3 weeks more than 20 times did not recognize the cable, an asked to check the power which was on all the time, in addition to that on several occasions suddenly the sound would get louder, it was not during a commercial. I exchanged that tv for another one, to my big surprise during the first 6 days had the same problem, on four occasions, the only difference was that the second tv after about a minute recognized the cable, it is very distressing, maybe there is something wrong with the software.

I purchased this TV open-box. The guy that sold it to me was extremely helpful and my hats off to him. However, I asked if there were any damages he said no we test everything. As soon as I get the TV mounted there is a line in the bottom right screen that is extremely noticeable on black backgrounds. I’ve contacted Samsung to see what they can do...I’d rather not take it off the mount and drive it all the way to the store as that is VERY inconvenient.

      JohnG:

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung Q70T TV. I am very sorry you are experiencing issues with your TV not displaying properly. You may want to try the following troubleshooting steps:

      1) Check the antenna and input cable connections

      2) Check the antenna and HDMI cable connections

      3) If the issue persists, define exactly what is wrong with the display. For example, mosaics and blocks, multiple lines or white dots, fixed horizontal, or vertical lines

      4) Try changing channels using the remote control. Is the issue the same on all channels?

      5) Press the Home button (looks like a house), select Source, choose another input source. Is the issue the same on all sources?

      6) If the same problem persists, run a diagnostic test. (Home > Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Picture Test)

      7) If the problem disappears during the test, check your TV signal (Home > Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > Signal Information) to check the signal strength. Signal strength must be more than 20 dB (more than 4 bars on the icon) for stable signal reception

Our warranty does not cover open box items, however we are more than happy to answer any questions you may have.

Which I would have gotten this Tv a little bigger great picture quality. Makes sports, movies, and gaming look great etc. the remote is also a nice feature. The sad part is I just move and somehow the screen got damaged this was by far a better TV than my LG UHD 65” a little sad but by far Samsung has it all down even when it comes to the Apps for streaming you can’t go wrong .this TV is a great investment

Samsung Makes a Good 55 inch TV

As background, I'm coming from a 46 inch Samsung. I paired that with Direct TV and Roku and Amazon Fire sticks. I chose the 55 inch Samsung as the area where the set is placed has a stand that can only accommodate a set that is no larger than 60 inches. Positives - great picture right out of the box. For those without a Roku, Amazon Fire, or other HDMI plug-in, the set comes with many cord-cutting outlets (i.e. Netflix, Amazon Prime, others). However, to access internet TV, you'll need a subscription. Audio is pleasantly loud. For certain shows, I've actually lowered the volume. Negatives - the remote is non-intuitive (to me) and incomplete (button wise). It is a let-down compared to the Samsung remote that came with my previous TV. I don't use it as my Direct TV remote is set to control Samsung sets. I consider the new remote as backup. The previous Samsung set I had came with a base that attached to the center of the set. After attaching to the TV, the screen could be swiveled. This set come with two plastic leg stands placed 40 inches apart. Swiveling the set is not possible. If you have small children in the house, tell them to stay away from the screen. I don't know how secure the stands are if a child should place his/her hands on the screen and accidentally push. I'm sure it's OK, but its best to be safe than sorry. When turning the set on, you are required to look at half a TV show on top and Samsung's home screen on the bottom. I have not timed how long the home screen stays on but after a short period of time, the home screen disappears and the TV picture fills the screen. When setting up the TV, Samsung suggests downloading an app to your cell phone and going through a laborious sign-in process. I really could care less about controlling my set with a phone or watching TV on a phone and the entire process was time-consuming and irritating. I don't use the app at all. Conclusion - good TV, excellent picture, Four stars based on above negatives.

We picked up at store and did setup ourselves. Easy to get out of box, easy to click in the stand/feet. I was very nervous about cracking screen for trip home and setup but paid attention to recommendations and all went well. The built in sound is better than the 8 year old Panasonic we had prior. Too soon to tell regarding longevity issues. Of note, I haven't set up all the bells and whistles (no apps, no wifi/internet), just a fiber box and directv box, both HDMI, and easy. Same for setting up the remotes for those devices to accept this TV. Took a bit of patience to find the right Samsung code but still simple.

Tv perfect for my Xbox One Series X other than Samsung doesn't Support Dobly Vision so giving it 4 Stars. I would have went with the LGNano Series because they support Dobly Vision but wanted to stay in the Samsung ecosystem cause of my Galaxy Phone. This tv perfect for the PS5 because they don't use Dobly Vision. I wish Samsung would support Dobly Vision it just doesn't make sense marketing wise partnering with Xbox with XCloud gaming showing Xbox Services with Samsung Phones to TV's for two to three years but then don't want to support Dobly Vision which XSX offers. I see Microsoft switched marketing deals to LG tvs late last year like a month after the XSX came out but didn't find that out til after I hooked my XSX to this TV to test compatibility settings came up with one red X. ;/ Probably will save up for LG for the second TV tho but wish stores/websites were more upfront to which tv to get for what console because I did a lot of research before buying this tv even asked store associates for advice on what TV's had HDMI2:1 to try make sure it had everything and I kinda feel like I still failed but after everything I went through to get it during the holidays bring it home and the price was good for holiday discounts. Other than that this is a perfect tv and it's my first 4K budget gaming tv under 1K. Visually looks great I never had a reason to get a 4K Smart TV until my Samsung1080 LED from 2012 finally blew out cause of some circuit under the Tcon board. Then I needed a new TV for my XSX too so things just worked out I guess. I can definitely tell the difference between some films on Netflix looking better visually too. I was like I don't remember seeing certain details like that on my previous TV. Cyberpunk looks haven't had any issues with my game even though cyberpunk getting a lot of bad press. Hopes this review helps with gamers!

Great picture quality, sound and clarity...the 120hz definitely helps this TV as without it would be a 3.5 star. Ease of set up and attachment to a wall mount is straight forward. 4K quality is of a high standard with some amazing picture quality in terms of darks and colors. Sound quality is better than most but I purchased a Polk Soundbar to go with the tv and the sound is amazing.

I love my new Samsung TV! After much research and reading superlative reviews on this TV, I could not be happier with it! The picture quality is awesome and the overall quality is fantastic! I love the ease with which I can use my Amazon firestick and access loads of channels, and adjust the settings. The Geek Squad staff was wonderful in setting up the TV for me in just a few minutes, wearing masks and gloves, and were very professional, friendly and courteous. To top things off, it was a great value! Thank you, Best Buy!

I use this mainly for Xbox/gaming and the refresh rate and 4K resolution make for a phenomenal experience. The higher tier Q80 will offer better HDR performance as the colors on this display don't exactly "pop," for lack of a better word. Mostly due in part to it's limited brightness. However, I play in a dark room, I'm not a fan of light hitting my display, so it's not really an issue for me. If you're not particularly familiar with display technologies, you very likely will not notice it anyway, as it does get sufficiently bright. If you NEED HDR performance that'll blow you out of the water, this is not the TV for you. If you're a gamer and you want a reliable TV with high refresh rate, resolution, and HDR capability I definitely recommend this. The speakers are solid (for TV speakers), I don't really have any negatives about them; certainly if you really cared you'd either buy surround sound or a sound bar but they work for me.

Studied TV's for a few months and really narrowed down to Samsung Q60/70/80/90T series and sony x900H/x950H series. I found the x900H had horrible angle viewing, so it left me between sony x950 ($1200) the samsung versions. 120 native Hz vs. 60 Hz was important and so that knocked the samsung Q60 out of the options. To be honest I really wanted the sony 950H or the samsung 80T, due to pricing, I got the samsung 70T at 799 (black friday). I thought I would linger in dissapointment but have been impressed. Easy set up, nicer than my upstairs sony bravia, crisp, great for tv, movies, video games. New remote, now it's 1 remote for all, still getting used to functions, but automatically recognizes when I turn dvd player on, xbox on, or just watching tv... no more having to change inputs.

Image quality is awesome! I was able to learn the remote easily. Will be awhile before I completely understand all the features, but that is part of the fun. 120hz refresh rate is the bomb for watching sports. What a difference. The Masters was in vivid color for sure!

Great TV at a great price looks & works great for video games no blur with maximum 240 refresh rate and love the way it is set up with super easy access to every hooked up device and every streaming option you could think of like netflix, apple tv, etc and it is super easy to switch between them not having to leave to change your source like hdmi 1, hdmi 2, etc. its all on 1 page and 1 button brings up all your options. Great tv super easy to use, tons of options, looks great. The only negative which may just be my settings which I haven't messed with a lot yet but on regular tv the colors don't look bright enough to me sometimes but I may just need to adjust a setting or something but when there are good colors available it looks amazing like on video games or animated movies. I love the TV and the price is great for what you are getting.

we bought 2 of these TVs in march of 2021, one for the bedroom and one for the living room. the living room tv died in sept 2022 just past the warranty window ( turns on n off in quick succession by itself) the bedroom tv still works perfectly fine. it has a nice picture out of the box with minimal needed tweaking to my preference and works will as a pc monitor with a 40 series nvidia connected to it via hmdi. the smart features built in work as intended although i don't need to use them often given the PC being connected to it . volume-wise we had to keep the sound around 20-30 depending on the show , in the smaller bedroom i keep it around 12, 17 with an AC in. overall i think this is a good tv , i wish the living room one didn't die since we purchased a sony to replace it that does not work with 40 series cards , so if i had to recomend a tv between the 2 i would pick this samsung .

Bought this TV for the xbox series x and we just got the console. It looks great. Gamemode on the xbox one had a noticeable difference, and the TV let us stream and play some games in 4k, but the series x has a much more noticeable difference when gamemode is on and it allows for gaming and streaming in 4k 120fps. I am so happy with this purchase, probably one of the happiest ive been with an electronic device in a while. Movies and everything looks great; we use a converter and play retro consoles like the N64 and NES which looks a bit funky but better than expected. Ive used a surround sound system since purchase but the sound from the TV sounds great anytime its used (admittedly by mistake).
