Excellent tv, and the price can't be beat. Awesome picture quality. Sound is a little low. But most flat panels need a sound bar now.

    Nice TV but....

Picture is great and for a very thin TV, sound is very good too. I do like the one connecdt box, albeit a mini but it makes the hdmi hookups easier. But continue to be disappointed that Samsung doesn't do some basic things. First is, the audio out connections are "fixed volume". No variable output. So if you use a soundbar, the TV cannot control the soundbar. No a universal remote does not fix this when the sound bar's IR receiver may not be out in the open. Sony TV's have supported this, by Samsung does not. Second one is the new small remote is cute but what a PAIN to change channels with entering a number. You can't. No channel numbers like on an old cheap remote. If you want to change channels, you can hold the up/down button forever or use the onscreen pointer but that takes about 5x more work than just punching channel numbers. I asked Samsung support and they said no basic remote is available. Then on another occasion they said to call Samsung parts for one from last year and buy one. You spend $2000 on a TV and they won't give you a basic easy to use remote to change channels. For the extra $40 they want me to spend, you may wish to look at the comparable LG product. Spec for spec it's the same and the remotes are included, and they include 3D glasses. So I give it a hesitant recommendation.

Had very high expectations for this Samsung, however, had to return this one after it had a few issues right when we started using it. Volume lowering w/o touching the control, picture dimming for no apparent reason, and the worse was diagonal lines appearing. A shame, however, still within the looksee time frame and returned it for full credit. BB exchanged it for the same model, only in 65", since Samsung has stopped producing this one in 60". So, lemonade out of lemons. We'll see how this one performs.

Bought TV at the Newington, CT store along with a 50" Samsung UHD. Installed the TV and then when we went to hook up the cable, the sound came on but the picture didn't. Cable installer noticed that the TV was damaged at the top of the screen. Called the store and they told me becuase I didn't open the box right away I needed to work through the manufacturer. This is not good customer service...I've made a lot of purchases at this store in the past and they just lost a customer.

If your on the $2000 budget but are thinking of getting that curved 65" for $200 more DON'T DO IT! This is the best Samsung 4K your going to get for your $$ save your $200. I have been through 5 TV's already from 65" curved 120 Motion to Sony 65" 240 Motion back to 55" 120 motion and now back to this 60" for a second time. I have to admit the Sony had the best picture and motion and no judder to any Samsung I have tried but it did not offer the RVU connection for my Directv. That is the only reason why I am back to this one because it's the best Samsung 4K I can afford without spending over $3000 on a SUHD. The Sony has rich deeper blacks like a plasma which I liked and watching movies up-scaling from 1080 looks way better than a Samsung! The Samsung's I had have judder after each scene change which I hate but I am hoping this will change once Directv starts showing 4K content. Fingers Crossed!!! This Samsung states it has the 240 motion rate so it claims which is really a front for saying it really has true 120. Don't believe all that Motion rate stuff listed on these TV's or Motion Flow stuff, you have to remember there really isn't any 4K content or any at all coming from any carrier or signal so these TV'S are really trying to upscale 1080 signals to 2160 and at times your picture is gonna vary from show to show or movie. It's like when 480 or 720 was trying to upscale to 1080p TV'S it was awesome but took sometime to get use to viewing. same thing here. Right Now every cable or satellite company shows about 85% of their content in 1080p format and Nothing in 2160. Regardless of what any sales person says trying to sell you a 4K TV. 4K content will probably won't be the norm for a couple of years or more? so a majority of the content you watch on whatever cable or satellite company you have will NOT be as crisp as those display models you see in stores show, so don't expect that at all BUT it doesn't hurt to try to get ahead of the curve and get your 4K set now.

The JU7100 has excellent picture clarity! If you're looking to buy a new tv, do not look at buying a non 4K TV. I initially bought a Samsung H7150, but I wasn't satisfied with the picture. I was expecting more and to be honest it was no better than the Panasonic plasma TV it was replacing. That says a lot because the H7150 is a great TV and has excellent reviews. Do not believe anyone that says if you're not watching 4K content do not get a 4K TV. This JU7100 does an excellent job in upscaling 1080p to 4K. Even my wife noticed it within minutes of watching. The best part of this TV is the way it handles sports. There is very little blur and when compared to the H7150...I'm glad I returned it for the JU7100. The one flaw in this TV and with all LCD TV's is the viewing angle. At an angle, this TV loses color saturation pretty quick. This is my tv so I'm always sitting front and center. I dont care about the poor viewing angle, but you might...so take that into consideration. All in all I can say 4K TV's are no joke and the JU7100 is priced just right. There's no denying 4K clarity!! 4K is here to stay and is the future. If you keep your TV for 5-10 years like me, you need to buy a 4K TV so you're ready when 4K is readily available in the next few years. Don't make the mistake I made by buying old technology initially. You'll be returning it just like I did and buying this awesome JU7100.

    Outdated VUDU app

The preloaded VUDU app on this TV is out of date and does not allow you to play Ultra High Definition movies through the VUDU app that you own. Playback is limited to SD and HD only. Neither Samsung nor VUDU will upgrade the app to allow UHD movies to play without a separate device.

Using this TV is like steeping into the outdoors and feeling like you are actually there. It is wonderful where electronics have come today. Movies actually come to life and make you feel like they are going to enter your home.

I bought this last night and took it back today. For $2k, and coming from a Panasonic plasma, I really wasn't blown away viewing 4k content on Netflix. The black levels and viewing angles were real weaknesses that I couldn't live with for the money. I could have bought up to the JS series but the content limitations are just too severe to justify dropping $3k. In the end I bought a 1080p 60h7150 for $1k and I am over the moon with its black levels, contrast, 240hz native, and better viewing angles, which make it overall a better TV than the 4k ju7100. My advice is to wait until 4k content becomes more plentiful and the newer technologies become more mainstream.

I picked this TV up several weeks ago and had it on the stand for a few days and then mounted it. Made a difference and I am loving this TV. I still need to figure out the optimal config settings and trolling on avs forums to figure that out. Any one have any recommendations for settings?

Purchased this set & after going through the trouble of installing it on the wall...it was defective. Bad one connect box. Had to return it. However, I was able to view the apps (Neflix, Hulu & Amazon, etc.) & after adjusting the settings the picture wasn't anything special. I would save the money & just purchase the Vizio M-C60. The picture is really good & you save enough to get a new sound bar or Playstation.
