Picture is amazing compared to ordinary HDTV, but good HDR and even 4K content isn't so common as of yet. The lack of/very small bezel is surprisingly nice. The remote and software are 'ok', which is high praise these days. Had to call tech support and they had to reboot once for software failure in the first month. Sigh - I guess everything these days has to be made slower and less reliable by inclusion of a bunch of software. But on the whole the TV is excellent hardware and will impress. Can't speak to durability/longevity, but would guess it is comparable to other current models (ie, much shorter than the old tube TVs).

I read reviews before most purchases specially one like this so when I went into the store I kew I wanted to take a look at this TV. I also looked at other brands in the same class and this one won. The design is super sleek and slender, screen looks amazing even though cable TV is still not 4K the picture is top notch. Overall Im happy one - is sound for this size TV you definitely need a sound bar or something because sound was definitely not up to par to the TV but it makes sense with a TV like this why wouldn't have a sound bar specially since they are so cheap now. Definitely recommend if you are considering.

Previously, I owned a Samsung 60in. HDTV. Nothing wrong with the picture, This unit almost makes that TV look obsolete. I recommend turning off the auto dimming feature because once you do, the colors are incredibly clear and bright. I turned on the HDR feature and it make the blacks even better. I highly recommend this TV.

I was skeptical about whether a new 4k TV was worth buying, however, with prices dropping and tech improving it was a no brainer for future proofing. HDR content looks amazing and the upscaling of non-4k content on this TV is excellent. Even Normal HD content looks even better. The local dimming LED array works great! It is noticeable better than edge-lit displays. No backlight bleed, uneven lighting, or noticeable blooming. Blacks and darker content look great.
CON: To be able to use the smart features (apps, playing USB content, etc.) you need to sign an agreement for advertising and data collection.

The setup was easy, picture is gorgeous, remote is easy to use but also easy to lose, and there are more setup options than you could ever hope to use. Overall a great TV!

I did a LOT of research before buying a new TV. Went with this one based on overall good specs and I am glad I did. The TV is super thin has an amazing picture. Something to keep in mind with 4K and HDR is that there really is very little content out there as of 10/14/2016. Netflix has a handful of HDR content and while it looks just amazing part of it is frustrating as you will burn through it quickly.
I had no problems with this TV at all except the Hulu app breaks frequently and throws server key error messages. Have to restart TV to fix. Samsung support's first attempt did not work to correct the issue.

I picked this up after returning a 65" Sony 850D. The Sony just couldn't get bright enough with HDR content but that isn't a problem with this Samsung. Picture quality is excellent from all sources. Some adjustments to settings were required out of the box. We don't like the Auto Motion Plus feature (Soap Opera Effect) so I turned that off. Even in a bright room with windows there isn't much noticeable glare. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.
One thing to note is this only accepts HDMI inputs for video sources so your old component video cables aren't compatible without a separate adapter.

Easy to setup and make connections to other existing components. Great picture
Their price match offer eventually worked. The price went down with a Best Buy flash sale, I called up and the person verified the sale. When my credit showed up it was less than what I had been told. Called again and the another person could not find the sale. I had to ask to send it to a different department and did finally get the full amount of credit. Lesson learned--take some screen shots of the sales because they are always being overwritten with the current prices when you go back.

We are very pleased with this TV so far. The picture quality is excellent and the remote is very easy to use. The menu is very well laid out and easy to navigate. One thing we did notice, when we first started using the TV, is the sound changed a lot in volume between certain channels, TV shows, and commercials. After a little digging through the settings menu I found a setting that allowed the TV to equalize the sound. That made our experience with our new TV that much nicer. {Settings – Sound – Expert Settings – Auto Volume – change from Off to Normal}

I have been wanting an HD TV for several years and finally decided to pull the trigger this year. I first bought the 40" for the bedroom and loved the picture. During Super Bowl week i went all in and got the 65" Samsung 8000 series 4kHD and wow....just wow. TV was incredibly easy to set up and the picture is mind blowing. Highly recommend this TV. I have an XBox one so use the TV's smart feature to take advantage of the 4K Netflix shows (Xbox one does not do 4K - the new xbox one S does however) and everyone that sees the TV is amazed with the picture.

Ok. TVs are always getting better but this one really is great. Great colors and picture quality and picture detail. Good viewing angles.
Interface way better than previous versions from same manufacturer.
Speakers are good and use an attached stereo and speakers when more is needed.
I like the native blue tooth feature.
Remote, simple but very functional.
Great look with a very thin profile and thin bezel.
Only criticism is that I have to edit the DVI/HDMI2 source to 'PC' nearly every time I use it.
Small hassle when everything else is so good.

I have had this TV for almost 2 months now. It is my first 4K Smart TV. I have a PS3, XboxOne, and a cable DVR connected to it. I am glad I picked the 65-inch version because I can watch this TV from other rooms across my home.
Pros:
- Superb 1080p upscaling to 4K
- Excellent picture for 4K video (free 4K options include YouTube, such as nature videos)
- Perfect for watching sporting events like the Olympics or Soccer
- Easy 5-minute setup process
- Fast turn off and turn on
- Auto-dim feature in low-light conditions
- Great frame rate for video games, action movies, and sports
- Reasonably good sound without home theater system
- If upgrading from a previous Samsung television, this TV remembers the previous codes from the remote control
- Easy smart features to jump from live TV to Netflix, YouTube, Vimeo, Sony PlayStation, or XboxOne
Cons:
- Limited options in the TV remote
- TV remote runs out of battery quickly
Caveats:
- The legs of the TV are diagonally pointed out and to the front; For the distance separation between the leg apertures, add another 4 inches to each leg aperture; This TV did not fit on my original oval TV stand where I had a 46-inch TV placed; I needed to buy a new rectangular TV stand;
- I was able to lift this 65-inch TV onto my TV stand by myself; Keep in mind I am young and I do work out;
- Even though I invested in a powerful surge protector with a high-joule rating, I routinely unplug my TV from the surge protector before leaving home because I live in Florida;
- Some people have warned about viewing such a large TV from within 4 feet; In the beginning, I needed my eyes to adjust, but now I frequently watch the TV from such close distances with no issues;

I conducted a ton of research on the new 4k Ultra HD TV's on the market before I ultimately selected this on. My two older sons helped me with the research (they are more tech savvy than I am) and we all agreed that this product was everything I wanted and more. The Smart TV specs were very important to me; I wanted to maneuver around from Netflix to DirectTV, from X-Box to Playstation, with ease. We absolutely love this TV and the picture quality is amazing. With some of the shows, it's almost like we are actually there with the characters. We love it!

I needed 2 of these TV's for testing HDR/WCG, and at the time this set provided the best picture available for the price point. The TV manufacturers have a ways to go before they can show the full color gamut (at a consumer level price point) defined by the new BT.2020 spec, but if you need a 4K TV right now I would buy this one if your priorities are HDR and 4K picture.

For now, this is the best high end TV for gaming. I bought Vizio P for the full array backlight and HDR gaming. The image quality on the P was exceptional, but the input lag when playing an HDR game like Forza or Gears of War was noticeable. Review sites suggested the KS8000''s input lag is lower, so I returned the P and got the KS8000. Glad I did. The KS8000 is edge lit and its local dimming isn't as impressive as the P's, but the picture quality is still exceptional and there's no noticeable input lag when playing HDR games. Highly recommended.

I've been buying Sony tv's forever. My XBR which I loved started to act up(not turning on occasionally) , I have a little electronic experience so I opened the tv up and was surprised to find just about every circuit board was Samsung. After some research I found the tv was not salvageable and quickly started shopping for a new Sony. Long story short after plenty of review reading and research I found this Samsung model to be my next love for next decade...one would hope for longer but I won't get my hopes up. Beautiful picture , easy remote and setup, sound is lacking. I've yet to hear a new tv that has great sound. Expect to have to use a sound bar or sound system to fully enjoy the screen.

We are very pleased with our new tv. The picture is very clear. The smart tv apps are working just fine. Its much thinner and lighter than our last Samsung tv, we hung this one on the wall. I have no complaints about this tv so far. I can't comment on the sound or remote as we use a sound bar and a different remote than the one that comes with the tv. We hired the geek squad to install our tv, and would highly recommend them to anyone. They were professional and so patient at explaining everything to us and cleaned up after they left.
