After buying the LG 6030 series(( cause of the price and being hdr ) I took it home to my amazement it was 1080 P at best , Spoke with same Best Buy person I had bought it from and without problem he took back the LG and I bought the Samsung 8000 series .. Yes I did my home work for months and told my son to get it 4 mon. Ago at which he did and I set it up for him. And he loves it, LG was only because of 4K HDR and PRICE BUT SO NOT WORTH IT Really if you can swing it this will very well be your BEST tv for very long

There are many HD TVs in market but no comparison to SUHD. Such details in every image. Now I know what I was missing. I waited for it be marked down for almost 6 months. I have 1080P TV but no comparison with this SUHD.

    GREAT PICTURE

My old samsung tv began to have pixel issues so I was able to get a replacement under the awesome warranty from Best Buy. At first I chose a cheaper Samsung model with motion rate 120 since that was the value they gave us for our broken tv. As soon as i turned it on i could tell it was slow and blotchy when watching sports. I returned it the next day and upgraded this tv. It is a huge upgrade for only $200 more. The motion rate 240 made a big difference in sports or any fast moving picture. The colors were pretty decent out of the box but I still played with settings until i was completely satisfied. The colors are vibrant and the blacks are so black it looks like the tv isn't even on. Im glad we made this upgrade. Now we need to buy a bigger tv stand since the tv out grew it.

I've held off buying a LED TV since my Samsung F8500 plasma still looks great. But it can't do 4K or HDR and OLED wasn't going to get the wife's approval. 4K YouTube videos look phenomenal as well as Netflix and Amazon shows. I can't wait to replace my 1080P OPPO with the new 4K player. My Directv feed looks good but some channels are better than others. But this is the case with my plasma too. Colors are really nice and the blacks are nice too. The blacks aren't as good as my plasma but more than acceptable. Others have mentioned the light bleeding on the top and bottom due to the dimming feature. I watched Gravity in a dark room and it still looked great. For the price and features I got for this tv on Black Friday I'm very happy with my purchase. Overall, a great TV until OLED prices drop to a reasonable price.

    Excellent 4K / HDR Set

First I'll say that if you expect to just plug a TV and have it look its best, this isn't the set for you. It takes some time and research to find the right settings for your environment. With that said, an hour or so of research and tinkering pays off with stunning - and I don't use that word lightly - picture quality and depth. Native 4K / HDR content such as 4K UHD Blu-Ray discs and some of the Netflix / Amazon original content that's available in HDR take your viewing to a whole new level.

I purchased this TV because I wanted a Samsung. It is a great TV at a great price. My previous TV was a 55-inch and the 65-inch set looks good in my room. It is fairly easy to setup, but 2 people are needed to get it out of the box, install the feet and set it on the stand. I currently have it on a stand, but will probably install it on the wall later. The set is not heavy, but it is large enough so one person can't handle it alone. The feet install quite easily. They just slide in a small slot on the bottom and click into place. The 2 feet are very stable and look and work very well. There are only 2 cables to attach to the back of the TV. One is the power cord and the other is the connection box cable. All of the connections are done using the separate box. This makes it very easy to plug cables in without having to get to the back of the TV. I like this feature. The default picture setting wasn't as bright as I liked. I changed the picture type from Standard to Normal and now I am trying Dynamic. The Standard picture mode is a little muddy to me. Normal is much better and Dynamic is bright with lots of color. The Movie mode seemed real muddy. In the Normal setting I noticed that the blacks seemed crushed a little. I like blacks with some detail not a solid black. I also like a bright colorful picture. For me it was fairly easy to figure out the menu's using the remote. The remote with this set is fairly simple, not a lot of buttons. I'm use to the remote with lots of buttons. The included remote is small and easy to fit into the hand and doesn't take up a lot of space on the end table. There are buttons for power, voice command (I haven't tried this option yet), volume and channel controls, a home button, back button and circular selection with OK or enter button in the middle. The buttons are very responsive. The volume and channel button is a silver bar that you rock up or down to make the selection. The mute option is to depress the volume button down. I prefer a separate up and down button instead of the rocker bar. It is actually easy and not a problem and works very well. But my 92 year old mother has problems understanding how it works. The volume is displayed shortly on the screen as both numbers and a clock type dial that shows the amount of volume. When you first turn on the TV a home display comes up over the lower portion of the picture and stays for a few seconds before changing to another menu before disappearing. I wish the menu only came up when you pressed the home button. It as easy to setup the TV to access my home WIFI. There is a small Samsung logo at the bottom of the set that is on all the time. I wish it didn't light, but this seems to be the power on light and it isn't really noticed after you get used to it. It's not that bright. The edge around the set is very small on this model. It almost seems that the picture is floating in the air as there isn't a lot of bezel around the image. (about 1/8-inch) The speakers are on the bottom of the set and seem to work quite well. The TV can put out a lot of volume. I usually run it at about 35, which is about a fourth or third of the way up on the volume scale. I didn't purchase the sound bar, because I have it connected to my stereo speakers. But I usually just use the internal TV speakers. There is a TosLink Optical out port on the TV set connection box to feed the audio to a surround system or stereo system. This year's model of TV set eliminated the older video and L/R audio inputs. There are only HDMI inputs. So you can't connect your old VHS deck. One bit of advice, attach the cables from your cable box/ satellite box etc to the connection break-out box before putting the TV set on the stand or wall. It's much easier and you can make the cables neat and organized. The picture is great, bright and sharp. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

    Best TV I've Ever Owned

The process of finding a new TV was a grueling one, but one that is very necessary when it comes to thoroughly doing extensive research. Some look at a new television as a toy purchase, while others look at it like an investment. I was in the latter category. I am a college student who LOVES films, as well as TV shows, (who doesn't binge Netflix nowadays?), and I felt like it was time to upgrade from my 50" Emerson LED to something worth while. After months of researching various specifications of televisions, I finally found one that marked off everything on my checklist, and the KS8000 was the product that did so. Let's break it down: Pros: - The TV is SLEEK. Barely an inch thick, it stands like a sheet of thick paper. - The black levels are insane. When there is black on the image, the black is BLACK. During a widescreen presentation, said color even blends into the black of the TV. It's quite tremendous. - The colors pop so well without over-saturation. - The apps that are offered are great, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Video, Spotify, HBOGo, TED, + more. - The remote is lightweight, sleek as well, and very simple to use. - The TV itself is incredibly easy to use. All of the apps appear on the bottom of the screen when prompted, and it's just a matter of clicking. - Even though I have it linked up to an external surround sound system, the internal speakers of the TV are very powerful. - The 120 Hz refresh rate. It was so difficult to find a TV that was native 120Hz, and it even offers an up-converted rate of 240 (though I don't personally use it.) - The Samsung Smart Hub; all of your HDMI's plug directly into a box that then attaches to the TV with a singular cord. So nice to not have all the various wires hanging down from the back of the TV. - There are several nice features that come with the TV to optimize image; automatic contrast control, grain/noise smoother (which I was initially very against using, but it makes a world of difference), auto brightness and color control, etc. Cons: There aren't any pivotal cons with this TV, at least not that I have found so far that are not subjective to the user's taste. I would recommend this TV to anyone, but for the sake of knowledge: - The TV image will not be what you expect out of the box. The factory settings are garbage. I immediately threw a film into my blu-ray player after hooking it up and was NOT impressed. The image was very fuzzy and color palette was dramatically off. You will HAVE to do some major modifications to the picture settings because the preset ones are just not satisfactory at all. I was initially frustrated with this, but after a couple hours of tweaking here and there with what I was watching, I finally got the image to look its potential, and it was well worth the effort. - As I mentioned above as a pro of the TV, the black levels are very deep and stunning. However, I do notice that there is light bleed in certain areas of the blacks at times, though nothing too distracting, at least not to me. - The 240 Smooth Motion Plus. I personally hate this feature, but since it can be turned off, it's really not an issue at all. The smooth motion feature comes in handy when watching sports events, but for films and TV, this provides a "Telenovella" effect, making it as though you're watching a soap opera. I gladly keep this feature off. All in all, this is a fantastic television and a future proof purchase. Yes, it's higher up on the monetary spectrum, but looking at it as an investment, as well as the near flawlessness of the product, definitely makes it worth the money. Happy viewing.

I went back and forth as to if I wanted to spend this much or just go with a UHD TV by Samsung or LG. I'm very happy with the TV. Picture is excellent even when watching 720P streaming programs and even better when streaming HDR videos from Amazon. I'll never know if it was worth the extra money for the SUHD vs UHD because I'd have to have both side by side while watching normal network programing. That said, you wouldn't get a better picture than this unless maybe you pay for OLED.

I was very impressed in the store with the 4K picture and was hoping that the lower resolution programming I had at home would look ok, and was pleasantly surprised to see the level of detail coming from Netflix through our limited internet connection. The upscaling works great and of course the 4K movies from the Xbox player are fantastic! I did end up using an optical out audio to the Bose sound bar instead of the ARC out HDMI. I am very happy with the quality of the system!

Picture quality is awesome. Blacks are deep and whites are bright. Sound quality is great. Apps are easy to use and conveniently located at bottom of screen. Can scroll and prioritize them to your liking. HDR on PlayStation 4 makes your gaming experience better. I also bought the Samsung 4k bluray player with tv you will not be disappointed, HDR 4k is sweet. Overall I am very satisfied with this tv and would recommend it to all. Yes is a little pricey and I do not regret buying.

I went from a 50" plasma to this Sanyo . I just didn't know what I was missing. Even my wife that usually is not impressed with my tech /tv stuff is impressed. I also bought a new tuner and a blueray player and the combo is just amazing. One thing really works great is the remote control with the smart hub. Programing the remote was a breeze and it controls all my equipment. My wife who is not very patient was running it in no time. Thumbs up to Sanyo for this feature alone.

After comparing the Samsung KS8000 65" with the Sony and LG models, we picked Samsung due to the overall vividness. Since then, I've been addicted to watching 4K HDR videos on YouTube, Netflix, and Amazon. My PS4 Pro 4K HDR games are jaw dropping on this TV. Best Buy has a great setup for comparing large screen televisions. In addition, a few weeks later, the price dropped by 200 dollars for a one week sale, and Best Buy matched it with no questions asked. Highly recommend!

This is the first 4K TV I have a own and I love it. The picture is Crisp, Sharp, vibrant, and clear. Setup was really easy and even Auto detected all the inputs and program them for easy access. The one thing I didn't like about the TV is if you use the foot stand they're not screwed in you just push them into the slot and that's it. If you have a sound system you have to do some work to make sure you're getting a 5.1 surround sound. Other than that I have no real complaints.

I have been looking at this TV for a while. Finally saw it on sale at my local Best Buy. There are a lot of Critics on TV's. I can tell you from a normal everyday kind of person that doesn't have to have the very best, this TV is incredibe! Picture makes you look like you're there in the movie. Crisp and clear colors. It also has a smart remote that allows your remote to control all your devices. I could not be happier with my purchase. I would recommend this TV to anybody.
